🚨 My day 10 at Jharkhand protest. When I... came here on Day 1, there were barely 50 people. Today, there are more than 1500 students on this ground. From having no tent at all to now having proper tents and rain shelters. From having barely any food to people coming forward and donating food for free. A drone of "unknown origin" was reportedly shot down... by US forces in Erbil Kurdistan (northern Iraq) that can be seen in multiple videos landing in the Zin City area (northeast) or Erbil. I've seen several social media accounts claiming it impacted near the local US Consulate. I spent a lot of time operating in and around Erbil and the Consulate in my younger days and Zin City is roughly 3 miles as the crow flies from the Consulate and, for a city the size of Erbil, it's no where near the Consulate. It's the American equivalent of saying something that came down in mid-town Manhattan impacted near Brooklyn. The California Governor’s race just flipped overnight. As Friday... evening’s mail-in ballots came in Xavier Becerra surged past Steve Hilton and now leads 26.7% to 26.4%. That is a margin of just 0.3%. Tom Steyer is still in it at 21%. 35% of ballots are still uncounted and final results are not due until July 3. This race is not over. Hilton can still come back. Despite extensive Russian bombardment by FAB glide-bombs, artillery, MLRS, and drones, the vast majority of the high-rise buildings remain standing and usable for defence (but obviously mostly unliveable for civilians). Because Ukraine doesn't have the manpower to hold the city right now it won't really matter that much for them, but once Russia occupies these buildings, they can still use them as positions.
