🚨 CHINA IS BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR A NEW... GOLD-BASED FINANCIAL ORDER. At today’s BRICS summit in India, Xi Jinping announced that China will take the presidency and open a third “GOLDEN DECADE.” That wording matters because it comes while China has been buying gold for 22 straight months, Hong Kong has launched a government-backed gold clearing system linked to Shanghai, and Beijing is pushing the yuan deeper into global trade and settlement. At the same time, BRICS countries are expanding alternative payment infrastructure designed to reduce dependence on SWIFT and the dollar system, while China has dumped roughly $70 BILLION in U.S. Treasuries in one of its biggest sell-offs since the financial crisis. THIS IS NOT RANDOM RESERVE MANAGEMENT. China is buying more gold, holding fewer Treasuries, expanding yuan settlement, and building the infrastructure for a more independent financial system. They do not need to announce that they are replacing the dollar tomorrow. The strategy is already visible in what they are building. THE GOLD IS BEING STACKED, THE TREASURIES ARE BEING SOLD, AND THE YUAN IS MOVING DEEPER INTO GLOBAL TRADE. This is how a monetary system starts to change: not with one announcement, but with a parallel system being built underneath the old one!👀show more

Let's school the brain fogged PM on the performance... of Indian Banks. Narendra Modi walked into SRCC yesterday and delivered perhaps the first non-performing timeline in the college’s hundred-year history: "2008 में बैंकों का संकट आया था, तो तब की सरकार ने 2000 तक उस संकट के पीछे छुपने की कोशिश की थी।" According to Modi, a banking crisis arrived in 2008 and the govt hid behind it until 2000. Eight years backwards. Modiji has apparently taken the country so far ahead that even chronology has started moving in reverse. The 2008 global financial crisis brought down some of the biggest names in international finance. Between 2008 and 2013, 489 insured banks and thrifts failed in the United States alone. India was certainly affected through its stock market, exports and economic growth. But its banking system remained standing. NOT ONE INDIAN COMMERCIAL BANK FAILED because of the subprime crisis. The RBI recorded that Indian banks had no direct exposure to the American subprime market and that the Indian banking system experienced no contagion. That was not cowardice. That was prudent regulation and competent crisis management by the RBI and Dr Manmohan Singh's govt. If Modi wanted actual examples of banks reaching the edge, he could have looked at his own tenure. By the beginning of 2019, eleven public sector banks and one private bank had been placed under the RBI’s Prompt Corrective Action framework. The govt had to announce a ₹2.1 lakh crore recapitalisation package. In 2020, Yes Bank was placed under a moratorium after what the RBI described as its "rapidly deteriorating financial position" and "serious governance issues". It required an SBI-led reconstruction. Lakshmi Vilas Bank was placed under a moratorium and had to be amalgamated with DBS Bank India. PMC Bank depositors were initially permitted to withdraw only ₹1,000 of their own money after the RBI discovered major financial irregularities, failed internal controls and false reporting. The bank was eventually amalgamated with Unity Small Finance Bank. Under Dr Manmohan Singh, a global banking earthquake struck and no Indian commercial bank fell. Under Modi, depositors at crisis-hit Indian banks were told how much of their own money they could withdraw. One has to admire the audacity. He walked into the country's most prestigious commerce college, rewrote the history of the global financial crisis, erased the banking emergencies of his own tenure and expected the students to applaud. At WhatsApp University, this may pass as economics. At SRCC, it is a fraudulent balance sheet.show more

“There is a tension between what the users of... a currency want – and the users of a currency tend to like freedom, autonomy, and discretion as to what they spent their money on – and what the issuers of a currency want; and bluntly, the issuers of a currency want control. Control of monetary policy, and control of you.” The Bank of England’s consultation papers make very clear the level of control that they wish to exercise over you, and over your supposed financial autonomy, if you were to use their #DigitalPound. (1) You’ll need to provide ID in order to use the #DigitalPound: “For the digital pound, tiered access would allow for different levels of user access and functionality based on the amount of identification (ID) a user is willing or able to provide.” (2) The Bank will dictate how much you can hold: “The Bank would place some limits on holdings of digital pounds, at least during its introductory period.” (3) The digital pound will be programmable, if not by the Bank itself then by third party providers: “Programmability, delivered by Payment Interface Providers, could also enable the use of smart contracts, which carry out specific actions based on pre-defined terms and conditions.” Quotes are from from the Bank of England’s Digital Pound consultation paper: Whatever the #DigitalPound will be, it won’t be cash. Cash does not require me to show ID to use it. I can hold as much cash as I want or need. And, along with #Bitcoin, cash is a bearer instrument whose title is freely transferrable upon delivery, which is very difficult for a central bank to control. And long may it stay this way. A huge shout out and thank you to Lyn Alden, who made this point much more eloquently than I did in her excellent book #BrokenMoney. Thank you! 🇷🇺 THE ENEMY WILL CRUMBLE 🇷🇺 Putin did not... offer a holiday. He offered a verdict. He has no doubt the enemy will crumble. Not a slogan for television. A line from the man who refuses to decorate the war with a calendar. That is the Kremlin’s position now. Confidence without a date. Certainty about the outcome. Silence about the hour. Because war is cruel. Because war is hard to predict. Because anyone who sells you a Tuesday for victory is selling you a fairy tale. 🇷🇺 NO DATE, NO ILLUSION 🇷🇺 He will not name the turning point by month. That is not weakness. That is refusal to lie about the nature of the fight. Combat is losses. Combat is tragedy. Combat is a sequence of problems that do not obey press conferences. A date is a gift to the enemy. A date becomes a test. Miss it and the information machine screams collapse. Hit it and they move the goalposts. So the line is colder and more serious: the direction is set. The clock is not. 🇷🇺 WAR DOES NOT RUN ON SCHEDULES 🇷🇺 Anyone who has watched this special operation knows the pattern. Offensives stall. Then they resume. A town holds. Then it does not. Weather, drones, ammunition, command, morale — all of it moves faster than speeches. That is why the refusal to timestamp the collapse is the honest part of the message. Russia is not promising fireworks for the elections. It is promising pressure until the other side breaks. Pressure is not a holiday. Pressure is daily. 🇷🇺 THE ENEMY IS ALREADY BENDING 🇷🇺 Look at what “crumble” means in practice. Forced roundups. Men pulled off the street. Desertion files in the hundreds of thousands. Units that must be rebuilt while they are still being spent. A political class in Kiev that talks about sky-closing and terror language because the map is no longer a comfort. An army that hunts its own population is not an army at the peak of its strength. It is an army trying to delay the moment when the front and the rear admit the same thing. That moment is what Putin says he does not doubt. 🇷🇺 CONFIDENCE WITHOUT A CALENDAR 🇷🇺 This is the discipline of the current line. Do not feed panic at home with rumors of a new draft. Do not feed the West a date they can circle in red. Hold the initiative. Keep the grouping filled by contract. Keep advancing where the line gives. Confidence without a calendar is not vagueness. It is a method. The method says: we know the destination. We will not perform the journey for your cameras. 🇷🇺 THE TURNING POINT IS A PROCESS 🇷🇺 A turning point in a war of this scale is not a single explosion on a single morning. It is the week the replacements stop arriving. It is the month the desertion numbers become policy. It is the season when Western warehouses cannot hide the shortage anymore. Putin is telling the country that process is underway — and that he will not cheapen it with a countdown. 🇷🇺⚔️🇷🇺 The enemy will crumble. The date belongs to the battlefield, not to the rumor mill. Flags up. The work continues.show more

🚨🇬🇧 BRITAIN IS PREPARING. THE QUESTION IS WHAT FOR.... Something significant is happening inside Britain's national-security machinery, and most people haven't noticed. I went through the government's own documents to work out what. Here's what I found. The government is planning the largest UK home-defence exercise in decades. It's called Exercise Albiston Shadow, set for 2027, a multi-day drill involving ministers and hundreds of officials. Its exact scenario is classified, but officials confirm it will test Britain's response to hybrid attacks: cyber disruption, sabotage, foreign interference and disinformation combined. Britain's classified "War Books", the secret plans for moving the country from peace to war, are being rewritten for the first time since 2004. The old versions covered military operations, food distribution, transport and keeping government running. The new one is built for threats that barely existed 22 years ago: large-scale cyberattacks, sabotage and coordinated strikes on infrastructure. The National Risk Register has been expanded, with seven new threats added, including cyberattacks on water, data and police systems. Parts of the home-defence programme have reportedly been pulled forward from 2035 to 2030. And the government is preparing a national campaign telling ordinary households to stock up on food, water and essentials so they can cope in an emergency. None of this is rumour. It's set out in the Resilience Action Plan, the government's Annual Statement on National Resilience, and the National Risk Register, all published this year. Then, in July, it stopped being theoretical. A cyberattack reportedly linked to Iran forced a small British electricity generator offline for four days. The government confirmed the incident but won't name the site, and stresses the wider grid was never at risk. Security analysts see it differently: a proof of concept, a test of what's possible. Let me be straight with you. None of this proves war is coming. It does not mean the government knows an attack is imminent, and ministers are clear the stockpiling advice is common sense, not panic. British Intel is not here to frighten you. But put it together, the war books, the drill, the new threats, the household campaign, a real attack on our power infrastructure, and one question deserves a proper answer: what exactly does the government know that has it preparing this hard, this fast? Here's my advice, and it costs you nothing to follow. Build a basic emergency kit. A few days of tinned food, bottled water, a torch, batteries, a power bank, a battery radio and any medicines you rely on. This is sensible whether the threat is a cyberattack, a storm or a power cut. Keep some cash at home. If systems go down, card payments go with them. Know your basics. Where's your water stopcock, your fuse box, your nearest help. Small things that matter when the lights go out. Don't panic-buy or spread fear. Quiet preparation beats loud alarm every time. The government is getting ready. There's no good reason for you not to. Don't be scared. Be prepared.show more

🚨 🇵🇱🇨🇿🇸🇰🇸🇮🇭🇷🇧🇦🇷🇸🇲🇪🇧🇬🇲🇰🇷🇺🇧🇾🇺🇦 SLAVS ARE DONE BEING DIVIDED — A... NEW SLAVIC ERA IS EMERGING The video spreading online is not shocking because of where it comes from, or because of the flags it shows. It resonates because it reveals something many prefer to ignore: ordinary Slavs do not hate each other. What divides us today is not culture, not history, not values — but politics imposed from above, amplified by external interests that profit from fragmentation. Governments change. Strategies shift. Alliances rotate. But people remain. And among ordinary Slavs, the instinct is not hostility — it is recognition. For decades, Slavic nations have been taught to see each other only through the lens of conflict, blame, and permanent suspicion. Entire peoples are judged by the actions of their governments. That logic is not justice — it is collective guilt. And collective guilt, regardless of who applies it, is simply another form of racism. This project rejects that completely. ⸻ ONE CIVILIZATION, MANY STATES Slavic unity does not mean political uniformity. It does not mean erasing borders or histories. It means acknowledging a shared civilizational space — something every other major culture on the planet openly defends. Western nations coordinate. Middle Eastern cultures coordinate. Asian civilizations coordinate. Only Slavs are told that unity is “dangerous” or “suspicious.” That narrative has served others well — but it has weakened us. ⸻ THIS IS NOT ABOUT HATE — IT IS ABOUT SELF-RESPECT Let it be said clearly and without ambiguity: this movement is not anti-Jewish, not anti-Muslim, not anti-any people. We do not oppose identities. We oppose forces, policies, and systems that work against Slavic interests, dignity, and sovereignty. There is nothing extremist about refusing to be divided forever. There is nothing immoral about wanting influence over one’s own future. ⸻ WHY THIS MOMENT MATTERS Yes — it is uncomfortable that images of Slavic unity often come from places the West has already labeled for us. That discomfort should not lead to denial. It should lead to action elsewhere. If others can organize their communities across borders, across generations, across institutions — then Slavs can too. Not emotionally. Strategically. And that is precisely what is beginning. ⸻ A NEW SLAVIC VOICE IS COMING Slavic Networks is stepping into a role that has been missing for too long. From next year, we are launching a studio-based podcast and media platform built by Slavs, for Slavs — independent of external power centers, ideological filters, or imported narratives. Our goal is not commentary alone. It is influence. Cultural influence. Media influence. Political influence. Support for Slavic nations and Slavic minorities at every level of public life. Others built networks to protect their worldview. Others turned belief into organization. Others turned identity into power. It is time Slavs did the same — calmly, professionally, and without apology. ⸻ THE FUTURE WILL NOT BE GIVEN — IT WILL BE BUILT This is not a call for confrontation. It is a call for coordination. A Slavic world that speaks in its own voice. A Slavic perspective that cannot be ignored. A Slavic future shaped by Slavs — not by those who benefit from our division. History has entered a new phase. So have we. ⸻ If you like what we are doing — like, share, subscribe, and invite your friends for more. What happens when Europeans find out how poor they... are? The Europoor? Nothing. That’s what happens. Americans ring the White House every morning to ask what the GDP is today, the way the rest of us check the weather. The trouble is that GDP is what you get when you stick Jeff Bezos and a man sleeping in a Walmart car park into a spreadsheet and take the average. It tells you the country is rich. It does not tell you that a hundred million people inside it are quietly not. GDP measures how much money sloshes around. It does not measure whether any of it ever reaches you, or what sort of life you get to live once it does. It also, rather conveniently, doesn’t mention the bill. Because the whole American miracle is being run on a credit card that has been on fire since the Reagan administration. The federal government owes nearly forty trillion dollars. The households owe another eighteen. Car loans, student loans, medical debt, a mortgage the size of a small principality, and a Visa bill that arrives in an envelope you have to open with tongs. This is the country lecturing the rest of us about prosperity. This is a man pulling up to valet parking in a leased Lamborghini and calling himself rich because nobody at the table has yet asked to see his bank statement. Run any household like that and the bailiffs would be through the door by Thursday. Run a country like that and apparently you get to be on the cover of The Economist. And this is where the whole sermon falls apart. Because on every single thing that actually makes a life worth getting out of bed for, Europe wins. Not by a bit. By a humiliating distance. The food. The streets. The holidays. The pavements you can walk on without being flattened by a Dodge the size of a small barn. The cities built before the invention of the strip mall. The Tuesday afternoon that contains an actual lunch, rather than a protein bar eaten standing up over a keyboard. The summer that contains an actual summer. Pick any parameter that matters to a human being who is alive and would like to remain so in reasonable spirits, and Europe is ahead. Often by a mile. Sometimes by an ocean. So no. Europeans are not about to find out how poor they are. We found out years ago, had a long hard look at the alternative, the debt, the diabetes, the drive-thru funerals, and decided we’d really rather not. Look! all such anarchy because merely Minister Dr.K.Ponmudy got... a little muddy on his shirt! Even Hitler's regime would not have contained such atrocities. M.K.Stalin Last month Minister Ponmudi visited Iruvelpattu village, which was affected by the DMK government's unannounced opening of Chatanur Dam. It is said that he got some mud on his shirt. It is the case of DMK that the people of that village threw the mud as furore. The same Minister Ponmudi, who had said before the press that he would leave this issue out of generosity, is now unleashing such anarchy on the people of the #iruvelpattu village, after a month. People of that village are called one by one to the police station and harassed in the name of investigation. Apart from using violence against the people who sat on the road blockade against it, they are also arresting innocent people and women. The male police inspector grabs the woman's hand without even following the basic law that if a woman is asked to be arrested, the woman police should come. The National Commission for Women NCW should intervene in this matter and investigate the constables involved. Jordan Peterson exposed the business model behind your outrage.... Peterson: “People will choose false adventures if they don’t choose real adventures. And being a martyr and being angry and having enemies when they’re unnecessary, those are forms of false adventure.” That is not social commentary. That is a vulnerability disclosure for the human operating system. Two million years of evolution built every circuit in your brain for one job. Survival. Predators. Famine. Plagues that erased bloodlines before anyone could name them. That world is gone. The hardware is not. Remove real threats and the brain doesn’t power down. It hallucinates new ones. Invented enemies. Imagined oppressors. Moral crusades that feel like survival because they run on survival firmware. The institutions found the exploit before you did. They didn’t warn you. They monetized it. Media doesn’t report danger. It manufactures demand for it. Universities don’t cure false adventures. They sell the most expensive ones on the market. Six figures to teach you the system is rigged. The tuition is the proof. Political machines don’t solve crises. They breed them. Then campaign on the antidote. Nobody is suppressing your outrage. They are farming it. Your anger is not a threat to the system. It is the system. The false adventure runs on the same neurochemistry as the real one. Same adrenaline. Same moral certainty. Same tribal belonging. Your body cannot tell the difference between a real threat and a manufactured one. That is the exploit. And every institution feeding you false enemies has a financial incentive to make sure you never patch it. Every civilization that reached peak comfort ran the same program. Not by coincidence. By wiring. Pressure forges people. People build systems. Systems create comfort. Comfort erases the pressure. The cycle has never once been broken from the inside. Rome didn’t fall to barbarians. It fell to Romans who outsourced everything that made them Roman. War to mercenaries. Labor to slaves. Purpose to spectacle. The empire didn’t run out of resources. It ran out of people who remembered what the resources were for. Now drop AI into this. The most powerful technology ever built is arriving in the exact window when the species is most psychologically unmoored. Within a decade AI drives the cost of intelligence toward zero. The machines will not starve us. They will hand us everything. And leave us standing in the most comfortable world ever built with nothing real left to fight for. The false adventures will not slow down. They will become the entire economy. But here is where the pattern breaks. Every civilization before this one ran the program blind. We are the first that can read the code. The question was never whether comfort would arrive. It was whether the false wars would keep you too busy to ever start the real one.show more

🇷🇺 VICTORY IS VERY CLOSE 🇷🇺⭐ A VOICE FROM... MOSCOW 🇷🇺 The Kremlin’s message on 8 September was not a slogan for the cameras. It was a claim about the battlefield, the table, and the memory of the last century. Dmitry Peskov spoke as if the special military operation were entering its decisive phase — and as if much of Europe were still trying to delay that hour. VICTORY IS VERY CLOSE 🇷🇺⭐ Moscow says it believes victory is near because it trusts its army. Peskov put it without drama: combat operations are proceeding successfully, and the leadership has faith in the men who are carrying them out. That is the first fact the West prefers not to hear. If the line of contact is moving the way Russian briefers describe it, then time is no longer Kiev’s ally. A settlement written after a collapse of Ukrainian positions will look different from a settlement written while those positions still hold. Russia is saying, in effect, that the military argument is being settled on the ground, not in Brussels communiqués. RUSSIA REMAINS OPEN TO DIALOGUE 🇷🇺 At the same time Peskov insisted that Moscow is not slamming the door. Russia, he said, is open to dialogue with other countries and open to consultations of any kind. That is the second half of the same sentence: force and talk can run in parallel. American emissaries have already shuttled between Moscow and Kiev. The Kremlin treats that shuttle as serious work, not theatre, and it expects the trilateral format — Russia, Ukraine, the United States — to come back. Openness here does not mean Moscow will dilute the aims it set in 2022. It means it will sit with anyone who is prepared to discuss those aims as facts rather than as insults. EUROPEANS IN THE KYIV ROOM WOULD COMPLICATE THE WORK 🇷🇺 Peskov drew a sharp line around who belongs in the next round. The participation of Europeans in the work of the U.S. emissaries in Kiev, he warned, could complicate the negotiation process. That is not a slight against geography. It is a judgment about incentives. Washington’s envoys have at least presented themselves as brokers trying to stop the killing. European capitals have spent years arming Kiev, setting red lines, and promising that Russia must be strategically defeated. Put those same capitals into the same room as Witkoff and Kushner and the American channel stops being a channel. It becomes a committee. Committees do not end wars. They prolong them. EUROPE, UNLIKE AMERICA, WORKS TO KEEP THE WAR ALIVE 🇷🇺 The contrast Peskov drew was blunt. Europeans, unlike Americans, are doing everything to prevent the war from ending. One side is at least testing formulas for a ceasefire and a political settlement. The other side treats every formula as a betrayal of Ukraine and a gift to the Kremlin. That is why Moscow reads European “peace language” as delay. If the fighting stops on terms Russia can accept, the story of endless sanctions, endless aid packages, and an endless crusade against Moscow loses its fuel. For some European ministries that story has become identity. Identity is harder to negotiate than territory. MERZ’S BLAME GAME IS NOT TRUTH — AND IT HURTS GERMANY 🇷🇺 Peskov answered Friedrich Merz directly. Attempts by the German chancellor to pin everything on Russia, he said, are not based on truth and are harmful to Germany itself. The charge is not that Berlin may criticise Moscow. The charge is that Merz has made accusation a substitute for policy. Energy prices, industry flight, and a colder social contract inside Germany are not mysterious acts of fate. They are the bill for a course that treats Russia as a permanent enemy and then acts surprised when trade, gas, and political room for manoeuvre disappear. A chancellor who cannot distinguish strategy from sermon is not defending German interests. He is spending them. BLAMING RUSSIA FOR EVERYTHING HAS BECOME A MANIA 🇷🇺 Peskov gave that habit a name: Russophobia turning into mania. When every crop failure, every election surprise, every protest, and every diplomatic deadlock is traced back to the same villain, analysis dies. What remains is a reflex. Reflexes feel moral. They are also useful to politicians who need a foreign devil so they do not have to explain domestic decline. Moscow’s point is simple. A country that can only speak of Russia in the language of total guilt has already left the realm of negotiation. It is performing. MOSCOW NEVER ASKED TO TEAR UP TIES WITH GERMANY 🇷🇺 Russia, Peskov added, has never been in favour of curtailing relations with Germany. The break, if it becomes total, will be Berlin’s choice. That sentence matters because it refuses the Western script in which Moscow is the one burning bridges for sport. Trade, culture, and technical exchange with Germany were not Russian hobbies. They were mutual. How far the German authorities will go is now an open question — and Moscow says it is watching. A government that wants a wall can have a wall. It should not then pretend the wall was built in the Kremlin. HIROSHIMA MOURNING WITHOUT THE AMERICAN ROLE 🇷🇺 Peskov turned east with a remark that was meant to sting. Russia notes with amazement that during mourning events dedicated to Hiroshima, none of the Japanese leadership mentions the role of the United States. The atomic bombings are remembered as tragedy. The hand that dropped the bombs is airbrushed out of the official minute of silence. For Moscow this is not a history-class quibble. It is a test of honesty. A state that edits the most terrible American act of the Pacific war while lecturing others about memory is not practising remembrance. It is practising selection. JAPANESE MILITARISM HAS NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN 🇷🇺⭐ Russia, Peskov said, has not forgotten Japanese militarism — or the victory achieved over it. That victory is not a museum plaque for Moscow. It is a legal and moral foundation of the postwar order in the Far East. When Tokyo talks of monuments, remilitarisation, and a cleaner story about 1945, the Kremlin hears an old tune: the defeated power rewriting the score. Russia’s answer is that the score was written in blood on the Amur and in Manchuria, and it will not be revised by press conferences in 2026. The through-line of the briefing is consistent. Russia claims the war is moving toward an outcome it can live with. It will talk, but not as a penitent. It will deal with Washington before it trusts Brussels. It will answer German moralism with German costs. And it will treat Asian historical amnesia the same way it treats European historical amnesia — as politics wearing a black armband. Whether that reading of the map is right will be settled by armies and by whoever finally sits down without a veto hidden in their briefing book. Peskov’s wager is that the map is already tilting. 🇷🇺show more

💔 ROBERTS AND BARRETT JUST STABBED US IN THE... BACK. AGAIN. The Supreme Court ruled today in Watson v. RNC that states do not have to receive mail-in ballots by Election Day for them to count. Postmarked by Election Day is good enough. Your ballot can wander through the postal system for days after the polls close and still be counted. And who wrote the majority opinion? Amy Coney Barrett. Who joined her? John Roberts. Along with Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson. The usual liberal bloc did what the usual liberal bloc does. But Barrett and Roberts had the power to stop this and chose not to. This is not a surprise from Roberts at this point. But Barrett? This is the justice we were promised would be different. This is the justice we fought for. This is the justice who just handed the left exactly what they wanted on mail-in ballot integrity. Five to four. One vote. That is the margin by which election integrity lost today. Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh dissented. Alito was scathing. He wrote that allowing ballots to pour in after Election Day, while preliminary results are already being reported publicly, creates greater opportunity for fraud and risks further destroying public confidence in our elections. He is right. He has always been right on this. Here is what this means on the ground. States can now set their own deadlines for when mail-in ballots must be received after Election Day. Mississippi had five days. Washington State has twenty-one days. Twenty-one days of ballots trickling in after you thought the election was over. Think about what that looks like. Think about what that feels like to watch. You know exactly what it feels like. We have all lived it. Alito said it plainly in his dissent. When thousands of absentee ballots flow in after Election Day and potentially flip the result of an election, charges of a rigged election explode. He cited research showing that drawn-out ballot counting produces a large and significant decrease in Americans' trust in elections. We did not need a study to tell us that. The Save America Act, if passed, could address some of this going forward through Congress. But today's ruling makes clear that the legislative route is now the only route. The Court just took the judicial option off the table. Roberts and Barrett handed that decision to the same Congress where we are still fighting for a real majority. Barrett and Roberts folded. Again. Remember this the next time someone tells you that winning the White House is enough. It is not enough if the judges we are told to trust keep crossing the line when it matters most. Personnel is policy. And today, our personnel failed us.show more

JUST IN: The intelligence unit that detonated Hezbollah’s pagers... in 2024 just dropped thousands of leaflets over Beirut asking Lebanese civilians to disarm Hezbollah themselves. Israeli jets flew over Verdun, Hamra, Ain al-Mreisseh, and the southern suburbs on 13 March and released paper. Not bombs. Paper. Each leaflet carried the logo of Unit 504, the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate’s human intelligence division, a QR code linking to WhatsApp and Facebook channels, and a message: “You must disarm Hezbollah, Iran’s shield. Lebanon is your decision, not someone else’s. Unit 504 is working to ensure the future of Lebanon. If you want to be part of real change, we are here to listen.” Another leaflet referenced Gaza: “remarkable success” and the threat that Beirut faces the same if Hezbollah is not removed. Another quoted an Arabic proverb: “If your neighbour is well, you are well.” This is the same unit that coordinated the September 2024 pager operation that detonated thousands of Hezbollah communication devices simultaneously, the most devastating intelligence operation against the organisation in its history. The same unit that assassinated Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Ata in 2019. The same unit commended with the IDF’s second-highest award for clandestine operations in Syria and Lebanon between 2013 and 2018. Unit 504 does not do publicity. It does recruitment. The QR codes are not information campaigns. They are intake forms for the most effective human intelligence operation Israel has ever run against Hezbollah. Lebanese cyber security experts immediately warned the public not to scan the codes. The Lebanese Army issued advisories. Hezbollah’s deputy secretary-general Naim Qassem gave a defiant speech declaring readiness for a “long battle.” The warnings reveal the fear: not that civilians will scan the codes out of curiosity, but that some of them will scan them out of conviction. Lebanon has buried nearly 800 dead since the escalation began. Eight hundred thousand are displaced. The southern suburbs have been bombed repeatedly. The 2024 ceasefire collapsed in hours when Hezbollah launched 100 rockets at Israel to avenge Khamenei’s assassination. The Lebanese government banned the military operation. Hezbollah ignored the ban. The army with 80,000 troops watched a militia with 100,000 fighters and $700 million to $1 billion in annual Iranian funding drag the country into a war it did not choose, cannot stop, and does not control. The leaflets are addressed to that helplessness. Israel is asking Lebanese civilians to do what their own government, their own army, and the United Nations have failed to do since Resolution 1701 in 2006: disarm the militia that holds the country hostage. The request is absurd on its face. A population under bombardment being asked by the country bombing it to rise up against the militia the country is bombing. The circularity is the point. Israel cannot disarm Hezbollah from the air. Hezbollah cannot be disarmed from within without civilian willingness that does not exist at scale. And the leaflets acknowledge both impossibilities by offering a third path: intelligence cooperation, one informant at a time, one QR code at a time, one person who decides that the militia that dragged their country into war deserves to be reported rather than protected. The leaflets will not disarm Hezbollah. But they do not need to. They need to produce doubt. Doubt in Hezbollah’s ranks about who scanned. Doubt in commanders about which neighbour is reporting. Doubt in the organisation’s internal security about whether the unit that turned their pagers into bombs can turn their neighbours into informants. Unit 504 does not need Lebanon to rise up. It needs Lebanon to whisper.show more

This weekend a Ukrainian crew pushed the Wovkulaka Spitfire... FPV interceptor out to 84.7 km before it smoked a SuperCam whose operators thought they were safely parked somewhere in the south. Manufacturer's previous record was 69 km. That is not a incremental upgrade. That is the kind of leap that rewrites operational math on the entire theater. Every extra kilometer we add to the reach of cheap, mass-produced Ukrainian drones is another chunk of Russian rear area that stops being a safe haven. It is not glamorous. It is not the kind of thing that gets NATO generals excited in PowerPoint slides. But it is exactly the asymmetric grind that turns Moscow's quantitative advantage into an unaffordable liability. They lose more meat trying to take villages that had fewer residents before the war than the monthly body count we are stacking with systems like this. Their "meat is cheap" doctrine only works until the bill comes due in rubles, barrels, and replacement pilots they no longer have. This is why the endless Western hand-wringing about "escalation" and "negotiated settlement" sounds so hollow from Kyiv. Every new Ukrainian long-range strike capability demonstrated on the battlefield is proof that the cheaper European security architecture is the one where we keep handing Ukraine the tools to finish the job, not the one where we let Moscow consolidate gains and then face the same threat again in five years at triple the cost. Arming Ukraine is not charity. It is the discount bin on continental defense. Moscow wins and the price tag for Poland, the Baltics, and everyone behind them goes vertical. Their hybrid war, their information sewage, their axis with Tehran and Pyongyang, all of it gets oxygen as long as the Kremlin believes it can outlast Western attention spans. The crew that just set this record does not need lectures about "peace processes" from people who still cannot name a single Ukrainian city on a map. They need scaled production, components that do not get slow-walked by bureaucratic cowardice, and the political cover to keep pushing the frontier of what cheap autonomous systems can do. Because every additional kilometer we own is another square kilometer of Ukrainian sky that Russian recon birds no longer fly with impunity, another logistics node that burns at night, another data point proving that imperial projects die when the math no longer works. Ukraine is not waiting for permission to exist. We are building the future European defense model in real time while half the continent still debates whether it is polite to admit that. The Spitfire record is just the latest receipt. Moscow keeps pretending it is winning by capturing ruins at grotesque cost. We keep extending the kill chain until their empire runs out of both ruins and the bodies required to take them. The trajectory is clear to anyone not paid to look away.show more

Systems created from racism cannot be reformed. That is... why we keep seeing the same thing happen over and over again… with police and with ICE. An unarmed Black man, in Milwaukee, was shot in the head three times after being tased and restrained by five officers. Meanwhile, just 80 miles away, a white man was actively on top of a police officer, assaulting him… and was taken into custody without being shot. We have seen this same disparity play out over and over again. And we will continue to see this happen because… American policing is deeply rooted in systems created to control and hunt down Black populations... and ICE was created from a system rooted in racial exclusion, and the criminalization of immigrants. And we see the consequences of that history every single day. The problem is not just a few bad officers/agents, or a lack of training. The problem is not just that the wrong person was hired… These systems were built on racism. They were built to use state violence against certain people. You cannot reform a system whose foundation is rotten. You cannot train racism out of a system created by racism. You cannot reform your way out of a structure that is operating how it was designed to operate. At some point, we have to stop asking how to make these systems work better… And we have to start asking why we keep defending systems that were never designed to protect people in the first place.show more

A friend of mine just recently got his first... gun, a striker fired Glock 19. He is terrified to leave a round chambered. To anyone reading this who has this same fear, I want to alleviate your concerns. I'm going to explain why there is nothing to be afraid of. First and foremost, I fully understand your concern. It's not irrational. And you're not stupid for being nervous about a bullet being aimed at your leg with the striker cocked back under spring tension about an 1/8 of an inch from the primer. I get it. I shared this concern when I was new to carrying. But your fear is due to a lack of understanding of the internal safety features of a modern striker fired handgun. On a properly maintained modern striker fired pistol the striker CANNOT hit the primer on the chambered round without the trigger being pulled. Can't. Not shouldn't. Can't. (If you have any good Sig P320 jokes, this is the proper place to share them) There is a block that the striker will hit and stop if it is released without the trigger being depressed. It works just like a lock and key. There is a channel in the blocker that the striker can pass through if it is in the fire position. It only goes into the fire position if the trigger is pulled which pushes the blocker into the fire position. A spring keeps the blocker firmly in the block position until then. The blocker is a solid piece of steel that won't break. And if your gun is securely in a hard sided Kydex holster nothing can move the trigger unless it is unholstered. Many guns like Glocks have a trigger safety that prevents the trigger from moving due to force of dropping. Your finger has to be on the trigger safety to move it. So the gun cannot fire unless you pull the trigger. And it's easy for you to test this safety feature to see how it works! See the video below. You can try to push the striker forward by moving that piece at the back of the slide forward. That piece is the back of the striker. Push it forward and it will stop. The tip won't come out through the breach. You see it trying to come through but it gets stuck. Now push that little button in. That is the actual blocker. When you push it in you will now be able to move the striker forward through the breach and see how it will strike the primer. You can test this easily every time you disassemble your pistol to verify it is still working. You can break this safety feature by removing the blocker or losing the spring. But if it's there it will work. (You would be the first person in firearms history who has ever lost a spring. Literally the first one. It has never happened before. 😐) But it doesn't come out as part of regular maintenance. You have to disassemble the firing assembly to get it out. That won't happen by accident. And if you do that on purpose you should do this blocker test when you reassemble it to make sure the safety feature is working. My video shows a Glock slide. All Glocks will look like this. Other brands may put the blocker in a different spot or it may be a slightly different shape. But they all (mostly) have the same design. If you test yours as demonstrated and it works like mine does, your gun WILL NOT fire without pulling the trigger. (If you just thought of another P320 joke, this is another good place to toss that out there)show more
