I'm surprised they didn't add a fee for printing the flippin' receipt! And then they have the audacity to add the tip in the bill as well and leave room for another tip on top of that! This is clearly a prank! It has to be! But if it wasn't, what would your reaction be to seeing a bill like this come to your table? 😏😬show more

If Cookie Queens made it into the top 10,... at #8, they would say the same shit—that it flopped because it didn't end up in the top 5. They are projecting the hate they feel for a happy couple onto innocent children. 👉 For a documentary about Girl Scouts, being #15 is something to be proud of; it is something to celebrate. Congratulations to them! 👉 The British media is telling those who didn't make it into the top 10 that they are flops. #Meghan #PrinceHarry #CookieQueens #GirlScouts #Theatersshow more

“Met Police can go to hell.” Palestine Action and... its supporters have sent a clear message: they have nothing but contempt for Metropolitan Police frontline officers. When a group of extremists takes to the streets to defend a soon-to-be proscribed terrorist group and protest against those who risk their lives to keep our streets safe, it is a frighteningly clear indication that something has gone very wrong in this country. The authorities have a lot to answer for. This ban on Palestine Action — as called for by CAA and others — is a good start, but it should have happened a long time ago, as should bans on these kinds of protests. This must be the start of a clampdown on lawlessness and extremism if it is to be of any consequence.show more

🚨 CHICK-FIL-A IS QUIETLY ADDING A “PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FEE”... TO RECEIPTS - HOPING YOU WON’T NOTICE Look closely at this receipt. Right there at the bottom: “Public Improvement Fee - $2.00.” Not a tax. Not a tip. Not explained anywhere on the receipt. The woman filming says it out loud: What is this - and why am I paying it? No sign at the counter. No warning at checkout. No explanation of what’s being “improved” or who decided customers should pay for it. Just a quiet add-on, banking on the fact that most people won’t notice, won’t question it, or won’t want to argue over two dollars in a drive thru line. So prices aren’t just going up anymore. They’re being padded with vague fees after the fact. How many times have you already paid this without realizing it?show more

A point of utter embarrassment and shame for many... Iranians is the manner in which elements of the diaspora danced on the streets in Western capitals as bombs rained on Tehran. It is also a source for a lot of anger among Iranians in Iran who oppose the theocracy but nevertheless did not favor war and who are stunned to see some in the Diaspora being so indifferent to the suffering caused by the war. But there is another aspect that deserves closer scrutiny. These, almost exclusively pro-Shah elements of the Diaspora, did not dance to celebrate the downfall of the regime. They didn't dance because they had won. They simply danced because the war had started, nothing more. As if their goal was neither freedom nor democracy, but simply revenge and the pleasure they took from seeing Iran bombed. Had they danced after the theocracy had fallen (which it hasn't), it would be a bit different. It would be a moment where they could argue that the price was very high, but because the regime is defeated, it was worth it, and, as a result, a cause for celebration. But they didn't wait for the regime to fall. They danced right away. Signalling that the cost was worth it, EVEN IF the regime didn't fall. Because it was always about selfish revenge, not freedom.show more

Some kids came up to our door, lit a... firework, and ran. It could easily be mistaken for a gunshot because it was similar to an M80 and loud.
