The sweetness of catching a pure blade right on... the screws is hard to describe. These Miura Baby Blades are as pure as it gets. Miura Golf Early in my swing evolution, I made a decision that most people thought was crazy. I put away my oversized game-improvement irons and switched to blades. The result? My ball striking improved dramatically. Why? Because blades demand your full attention. They expose flaws, reward precision, and force you to develop better mechanics. Every shot matters. In a way, it was sink or swim—and my game got much better because of it. If you’re serious about becoming a better ball striker and learning the Classic Golf Swing, I’d love to work with you at one of my upcoming golf schools. For details and registration, email me at [email protected]. One question… Are you a blade player, or do you prefer game-improvement irons? Let me know in the comments.show more

I came across this clip of Carlos Alcaraz doing... this simple but effective drill to help with his ball toss when serving It immediately made me think about how these amazing players in ANY sport don't skip the basics I see it everyday with golf, the recreational golfer isn't willing to do the smallest, most basic things in order to help themselves acheive their goals They say they want one thing but their actions don't show they will achieve it Golfers always want to hit driver as hard as they can, they skip the importance of setting up to the ball correctly, they don't like changing their terrible grip because it "feels weird" Yet the best tennis player on the planet is working on his ball toss in order to ensure he can serve the ball to the best of his abilities It's these 1% efforts that can help you achieve exactly what you want. Don't skip them & when a coach asks you to do them, there's a reason we want you to listen and do them. They are importantshow more

Back-to-back U.S. Senior Open Champion. 🏆🏆 At 54, Padraig... Harrington isn’t just keeping up he’s still able to reach 120+ mph club speed and 180+ mph ball speed. Why? It’s an elite combination of speed-producing mechanics: ✅ A wide takeaway that creates space. ✅ Early pressure shift into the lead side while still completing the backswing. ✅ Massive downswing loading (lag), with one of the highest lead wrist angles we’ve measured on Tour. ✅ Incredible rotational force and ground reaction forces that allow him to release the club at exactly the right time. ✅ Elite grip strength that lets him maintain control while applying tremendous force into the handle. The result? A swing that stores energy through transition and releases it with incredible efficiency through impact. The best part? Padraig has been training with SuperSpeed for nearly a decade and he’s still finding ways to get faster. Speed isn’t something you build once, it’s something you continue to develop. Congratulations to Padraig Harrington on defending his U.S. Senior Open title. A masterclass in how great mechanics, smart training, and relentless work can keep producing elite speed year after year.show more

I understand why people are saying this isn’t a... foul, but I’m conflicted on this. If Tielemans’s foot is clearly in front of the ball when Pulisic strikes it, then I don’t think it’s a foul. But stepping across a player’s striking leg just before he kicks the ball should be considered a foul. After all, why do fouls exist? They’re there to protect players. The fact that this challenge caused Christian’s injury and forced him to be substituted doesn’t automatically make it a foul, but it’s exactly the kind of dangerous contact the rules are meant to prevent.show more

Blades are the true game-improvement clubs. Why? Because they... demand your full attention. They require focus, precision, and a commitment to finding the middle of the face. When you know a slight mishit will let you know about it, your concentration sharpens and your strike quality improves. Those big, hulking, offset monstrosities allow your mind to wander—and that’s a dangerous thing in golf. Great ball striking starts with awareness. Get zeroed in. Get committed. Get Zen. If you’d like to learn the Classic Golf Swing and improve your ball striking, join me at my next Weekend Golf School on June 20–21 at Grapevine Golf Course in Texas. We spend two days building a repeatable, powerful swing, and we play 18 holes together on Sunday. For golf school information or private lessons, email me at [email protected].show more

Kudos to Kevin Kisner getting the REAL issue when... it comes to the modern golf ball… While discussing the ball Ray Floyd used to win the 1986 U.S. Open at Shinnecock, he correctly references SPIN more than SPEED. Yes, the modern ball flys WAY farther, but the easiest fix would be to mandate more spin on the ball. The worst part of the ball traveling insane distances is that, because of no real spin, the mishits do not go off line NEARLY as much as they used to. If the spin returned, hitting a 350 yard drive would carry with it the HUGE risk of a mishit heading for deep trouble, even bringing many out of bounds back into play. As a result, not only would hitting a driver create far more drama than it currently does, it would cause most players to self regulate by hitting 3-woods and irons off the tee to keep the ball in play. This would effectively solve the distance problem because it would cause significantly longer shots to be played into the greens. 🇺🇸 ELON: “IF WE TAKE OUR EYE OFF THE... BALL, THE WASTE AND FRAUD WILL COME ROARING BACK” Elon delivered another devastating truth bomb earlier this year, and Washington should be paying attention: “If we take our eye off the ball, the waste and fraud will come roaring back.” And he's absolutely right, because it’s already happening. From COVID relief scams, to $100+ billion in vanished government spending, to Minnesota’s Somali daycare scandal (where the state is still sending checks while the DOJ racks up convictions), the message is clear: Fraud never left… it just got smarter. We’ve got bloated agencies writing blank checks, zero oversight, and politicians too busy playing PR games to care where your money goes. Elon isn’t just talking about waste though, he’s calling out a systemic rot where fraud is treated like a rounding error instead of a crisis. The second the public stops watching, the grift machine revs back up, and it’s funded by your paycheck. Americans don’t need more audits, they need a cultural purge of political cowardice and bureaucratic incompetence. Keep your eyes on the ball, because they’re counting on you to look away. Grip a club in your lead hand. Observe how... twisting your forearm changes the angle of the face. This is largely what controls where your ball flies. Small differences in this angle lead to huge changes in shot direction. This precision is not being trained in the gym with “golf exercises”. Poor control of this face angle is what leads to a whole host of swing issues. More so than physical limitations. For example, it is far more likely you come over the top in an effort to stop the ball going right because your face is wide open and you’ve seen the ball go right the last 5000 times than it is you lack hip or shoulder mobility. It would be beneficial for me as a trainer to say otherwise, but I just don’t believe it to be true. Use the gym to work on your physical capabilities. Improve your mobility, strength, and power. These are the things you are losing as you age. Leave the swing mechanics for your practice and golf lessons. If you try to “fix your swing in the gym” you will likely do a poor job of training your swing and your body.show more

Game Day Priming for Marshall Baseball 🦬🔥 Biggest points... of emphasis: ✅Add everything in a small dosage within a short time parameter. “Small doses stimulate. Large doses annihilate.” Tony Holler ✅Program exercises that maximize intent and output. The session should be High CNS and set them up for a great performance during games or scouting. ✅Add in needed concepts as determined necessary. Love adding in the Hunter Eisenhower Force System, especially in the warm up. For this session, the goal was to get a rotational rhythm and then experience force across different time parameters depending on the high or low catch for each limb. This also extends into the circuit, just built into a crescendo for our Fast Force exercises. The thing I help hitters with the most.. (1... good way to train it👇🏼) They start on time but never actually get loaded to GO. They think they’re ready. They’re not. So they start earlier next time. Same problem. —— This is a conversation I have with almost every hitter. When is the right time for you? - Based on your load style - Based on how long your load takes - Based on the pitcher’s velo, windup, or slide step —— If that’s you, try a “loaded at release” type load. Bobby Witt. Judge. Get your hip and elbow loaded early. Then stride with it ready to fire. “The pitcher is up there for 20 seconds telling you to get ready. Shame on you if you’re not ready to swing.” ____ If I have you in the cage, what I’ll do is have you get into a no stride position, get ready to swing and I stand there for 1-4 seconds… Holding my hand out over the plate ready to snap my fingers. When I snap, you swing. Do that 4-5x. You get the quickness, readiness feeling. Then we go back to stride with moving ball and you’re trying to time up that same GO move with the ball With your foot up in the air and the GO will make the foot go down. Not foot down then swing. That typically kills quickness. This works 95% of the time I’d say! —— > Send this to a hitter who needs it > Save it for when you need it.show more

Doug Karsch on 97.1 in Detroit yesterday said Mahomes... taunted 4 times and it should’ve been 60 yards of penalties. Things he claimed Mahomes did to taunt Threw the ball at Branches feet ❌ - He spun the ball away from Branch He pointed right in his face❌ - Branch pointed at the flag and Mahomes pointed at Branch and said “that’s on you” which it was because of offsides (This isn’t that hard if you aren’t spinning everything) He gestures again✅ - Yes. He wiped his jersey as he does after every rushing touchdown He flexed at him ❌ - He flexed (as he does after every rushing touchdown) while running off the field At this point it’s just crying for the sake of cryingshow more
