Trying another viral shoulder exercise 👀 The idea is... to keep the bar roughly level with your shoulders while using a wide grip, without fully locking out. It feels like a weird mix of a lateral raise + front raise and my shoulders were 🔥 REP IT 🟢 or SKIP IT 🔴?show more

He’s not lateral raising 50kg! He’s heaving it up... with momentum for a viral clip, not training his shoulders This pattern - heavy load, momentum-driven, partial range, is a fairly common way people hurt themselves This can cause lower back strain from using the spine as the lever instead of the shoulder jointshow more

Say hello to Source 👀 The goal was simple:... to create a place where every asset feels like it belongs in your best work — a space where design quality comes first. New assets and libraries will drop every week. Let’s raise the bar.show more

Incline Smith Machine Press Tips: 1) Set the bench... to roughly 15-30°….steeper angles generally increase front delt involvement and reduce pec involvement 2) Position yourself so the bar tracks toward the upper chest / lower clavicle region at the bottom of each rep 3) Retract and depress the shoulder blades (“chest up, shoulders down and back”) before unracking to set your base but allow scapula to move freely during the set 4) Keep feet planted firmly on the floor and maintain a stable base 5) Lower the bar under control until you come into contact with your chest (if you cannot do this without pain, just shy of chest is fine) 6) Allow the elbows to travel roughly 45-60° away from the torso…neither excessively tucked nor excessively flared 7) Keep wrists stacked directly over elbows throughout the rep 8) Avoid excessively bouncing the bar off the chest or relaxing at the bottom position 9) Use a grip width that allows the forearms to remain approximately vertical from the front view near the bottom of the rep 10) Full lockout is optional for hypertrophy…stopping just short of lockout can sometimes help maintain continuous tension 11) Control the eccentric and perform the concentric with intent and aggression while maintaining technique 12) If shoulder discomfort occurs, experiment with: - A lower incline angle - A slightly narrower grip - Bringing the touch point slightly lower on the chest - Reduced ROM The Smith machine’s fixed bar path will improve stability and allow greater focus on loading the target musculature close to failure safely….making it a strong hypertrophy option As always, ensure progressive overload is occurring on a regular basis!show more

So my elder brother booked an appointment for me... at the The Perfume Bar 🇳🇬 and it was a most amazing experience. You get to choose your scent and make your own perfume. Then give it a name of your choosing. I had fun doing it. The beauty of it is that, no one gets to smell like you 😊 It is a beautiful place with a beautiful experience, and a wonderful customer service. You should go with your friend or partner.show more

Most people can’t hold a Reverse Plank because their... nervous system doesn’t feel safe being that exposed. Collapsed shoulders and tight hips are postures of defense. This pose invites the body to leave that state. One minute a day can begin to reverse years of silent tension. If you want the fitness results you see in your mind to become real, you’ll need to teach your body how to relax first. Otherwise, forget the great transformation. You'll burn out before coming close to changing. At first, you may need to adjust the position or do shorter sets. You will notice slight improvements each time, whether it is strength, mobility, or endurance. One day, you will unlock the posture and feel much lighter within. Form Cues: - Hands shoulder-width apart, fingers pointing toward feet or slightly outward - Press palms firmly into the ground to engage shoulders - Lift hips in line with shoulders and heels - Squeeze glutes and push hips up, avoid letting them drop. - Keep legs straight and active, heels grounded - Draw shoulder blades down and together - Open the chest. - Gaze slightly upward or keep neck neutral - Breathe steadily, through the nose if possible - Hold tension evenly through arms, core, and legs Here are three adjustments you could make to ease into the Reverse Plank: 1. Bend the knees slightly - What it does: Reduces the load on tight hip flexors and stiff shoulders. - How to do it: Instead of keeping the legs fully straight, maintain a small bend at the knees and press through the heels. Focus on lifting the hips and opening the chest. 2. Use yoga blocks under the hands - What it does: Elevates the wrists and reduces wrist extension strain, especially for people with limited mobility or wrist pain. - How to do it: Place yoga blocks (or low, stable books) under your palms to give your shoulders more space and reduce the pressure on the wrists. 3. Turn the fingers outward slightly - What it does: Opens up tight shoulders and reduces internal rotation. - How to do it: Instead of pointing the fingers directly toward the feet, turn them slightly outward (about 30–45 degrees). This gives the shoulders more room to move and helps you stay open. You're not reading this by accident. Start using Reverse Planks to take your quality of life to the next level.show more

So a contractor had a porta-potty delivered to my... house while they were working on a project. They wrapped up the project last Friday and it has yet to get picked up. In the meantime, random people keep driving up our private drive to use it. That’s weird, right? Or am I being a butthead about it?show more

Rep 7 is the weight telling you it was... too light. Rep 10 is you agreeing. Rep 12 is the hypertrophy range, apparently. Rep 15 is cardio. Rep 20 is a hobby. Rep 30 is a cry for help with a dumbbell in it. The muscle only grows on the reps where the bar slows against your will. A heavy set of 5 is 5 of those. A set of 20 is 15 you do to earn 5. You have been paying a 300% tax on your growth reps and calling it volume. Stop at 6. Rest. Go again.show more

built a dropdown menu with directional detection using Claude... today It uses a triangle-based safe zone to keep submenus open while the cursor is moving toward them, so multi-level navigation feels much smoother and satisfying. Katie Maloney talking about Lala Kent: “I've moved on... from my divorce and from Tom, but [Lala] is moving weird with that stuff, like the joking of being with Tom and even seeing stuff on The Valley of like her constantly joking about hooking up with him and they had like a peck in the pool or something. It's just, I don't know, it just seems weird like you're gonna cry about our friendship, but then do the very thing that you did when you first came onto that show that made me hate you and was trying to make me feel insecure, more insecure in my relationship than I already was. Now you're kind of acting it out. You're letting it play out that way, which it just feels weird. It just feels weird. I just feel like she moves funny.” 💥 #TheValley Source: Disrespectfully podcastshow more

They fried it, sliced it open like a sandwich,... and loaded it with tuna, avocado, and cucumber. This is basically sushi meets Subway. The outside is crispy with panko-style breading, while the inside stays fresh and fully loaded with toppings and sauces. I’ve never seen anything quite like it — and now I kind of want one. Would you try a sushi sandwich like this, or does it feel like too much of a twist?show more

I watched Robot on the Road and honestly I... did not really know what to expect going in At the beginning it just feels like a pretty normal little road trip setup with this robot hitchhiking around Japan and it almost gives off a chill slice of life vibe But it does not stay like that for long The more it goes on the more you realize the robot is doing some really questionable stuff and the way it focuses on women without their consent makes the whole thing feel really uncomfortable By the end I was not really sure if I was supposed to find it funny or just feel weird about it Overall it feels like one of those shorts that tries to mix dark humor with awkward situations but it mostly just ends up being unsettlingshow more

Raise your right hand and your mirror twin raises... its left. So why doesn’t a mirror flip up and down too? It doesn’t flip left right at all. It flips front to back. It reverses depth, not sides. Your brain does the rest, imagining you walked around to face yourself. The mirror is honest. You’re the one rotating it in your head.show more
