On 2nd May, Makireti, and fellow wild-living orphans Kilabasi, and her calf Kofi, Tusuja, and Neshashi arrived at the Ithumba Stockades. This was clearly no ordinary visit: The group had returned to make an announcement, visible between mum's legs was her hours old calf. We have named him Makimaki, after a distant dwarf planet; a fitting name for the newest little planet in our expanding elephant galaxy. Crafty Kiasa started sleeping wild the moment the new babies arrived, clearly realising that to nab the coveted position, she must be a persistent presence. Meanwhile, Amali and Enkesha, who still retire to stockades at night, must resort to outwitting Kiasa by day if they're to spend any time with Zigi. The film shows a penguin that suddenly breaks away from its colony and heads toward the mountains. Although it needs the ocean and fish to survive, it inexplicably walks deep inland, away from its natural habitat. Even the narrator in the film admits he cannot explain what is happening. Scientists believe such behavior may have been caused by spatial disorientation. Social media, however, saw something else entirely. For some, the penguin is a symbol of choosing the unknown over a comfortable, predictable life. For others, it embodies exhaustion with everything going on around them. The importance of pointing the AirFanta Wear personal air... purifier accurately. You need to point the center of the Wear's airflow at your breathing zone. Otherwise you won't get any benefit from the device. This is just a visualization using the mist from an ultrasonic nebulizer to stand in for unfiltered ambient air. In the demonstration the air is not completely still due to the output of the nebulizer. But the air flow may be similar to cross currents that might be found in indoor settings. AirFanta has shown a number of different ways to position the Wear, but hasn't given exact numbers for distance as far as I know. I'm using a distance of 2 inches or less as a rule of thumb, with the center of the device pointed at my breathing zone. The 3/4 position feels like it's one that people may be the most interested in because it can let you eat while at the same time maintaining a close proximity to the output. The Wear is not meant as a one-to-one replacement for a respirator grade mask. It's best for situations where you were not going to be wearing a mask at all, but would still like to breathe cleaner air. Avoid risk compensation, which is where you take on more risk because you think you are more protected than you actually are. For instance, visiting a nephew sick with measles without an N95 mask because you think the Wear will give you equal protection. Maintaining the correct distance and orientation between the Wear and your breathing zone requires conscious effort. The Wear can reduce your overall exposure to airborne contaminants, but it needs to be used very close to breathing zone and needs to be very accurately centered.show more

“Daddy, why are your hands filled with blood?” Warning... 🚨 distressing content but please read. Tsachi Idan’s body has been confirmed to be returned to Israel tomorrow. October 7th 2023 Gazan terrorists shot his 18 year old daughter Mayan in the head right in front of him. They held the family in their own home with Tsachi’s hands covered in the blood of his dead daughter while his other children and wife cried huddled together. The video of Tsachi crying over Mayan’s dead body is out there but out of respect I will not share it. The Gazan terrorists then got the family’s phones and live streamed it to Facebook. The videos below are from that stream. They then kept him hostage in Gaza and later released a propaganda video of him. We don’t know how long Tsachi survived after that video but 500 days later, his body is returning to his family in a coffin. His cousin Adam Ma'anit lives in Brighton UK, him and his wife Heidi Bachram have endlessly fought for the release of the hostages. They are in Israel now still, even after Tsachi’s death has been confirmed, still fighting for the release of other hostages. That’s who these people are. Wonderful people. This is the woman who went in for a... tummy tuck and was reportedly given too much IV pain medication. Doctors told her husband she was brain dead, and he made the heartbreaking decision to take her off life support. But now the story seems to keep changing. The media initially reported that she had passed away. Her GoFundMe also said she had died — but that has recently been updated to say she is now in hospice care and breathing on her own. Dusty Turner is a former Navy SEAL who was... wrongfully convicted of murder. He spent 30 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, which has drawn significant public attention and legal scrutiny. Dusty was a graduate of BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL) training and was assigned to SEAL Team 4 in Norfolk, Virginia. In June 1995, he was involved in a tragic incident that resulted in the death of Jennifer Evans. Dusty was initially convicted based on misleading testimony. Dusty was convicted in 1996 and sentenced to a lengthy prison term, despite being guilty only as an accessory after the fact. In 1999, his co-defendant, Billy Brown, confessed to the murder, stating that Dusty had no role in it. This confession was not revealed until 2002. Turner admitted to helping hide Evans’ body, but he consistently denied being involved in her death, which he said happened when Brown strangled her in a fit of drunken rage. In 2008, a court found Brown's recantation credible, leading to a Writ of Innocence for Dusty, declaring him "actually innocent." The Virginia Attorney General appealed this decision, and in 2010, the full Court of Appeals ruled that Dusty could still be liable under the felony murder rule, despite the lack of evidence presented during his original trial. Dusty Turner's wrongful conviction highlighted significant flaws in the justice system, particularly regarding the reliability of witness testimony and the application of the felony murder rule. His case has raised public awareness about the need for criminal justice reform and the importance of ensuring fair trials to prevent similar injustices.
