We couldn't get anyone else to respond, so we went. When we got there we helped the poor pony that needed us, but then….Hidden inside an old, abandoned horse box was a tiny foal. Alone. Terrified. Severely dehydrated. No food. No water. Nothing. 😡😡😡❤️❤️❤️❤️ We have no idea how long this poor baby had been trapped there.💔 The horse box had no registration plates, no identifying information, just an old trailer that appears to have been used to dump this innocent little life. 💔💔💔 Had we not opened that door when we did, we truly believe he would have been left there to die.💔😡 We immediately contacted An Garda Síochána, carefully removed him from the box, and rushed him back to Kildare, where our vet was waiting. He is now receiving the urgent care he desperately needs, but he has a long road ahead of him, barely a month old 💔💔💔💔💔 Once again, this is another innocent foal discarded because he was the "wrong" colour, the "wrong" gender, or simply no longer wanted. 😡😡😡 It is absolutely heartbreaking that animals continue to suffer because of human cruelty and neglect.😡😡😡 We are emotionally exhausted. Every rescue takes its toll, but walking away is not an option when innocent animals have no one else. Something has to change.
