I have never seen Capitol Hill waste more time than these partisan clowns that we have up there now. The local County Governments that will be permitting these Data Center Progects have the power to make electricity and water issues a condition of obtaining a construction permit. This is just another example of Congressmen and Senators fucking off in an election year. They are too cowardly to tackle any substantive issues that may affect their elections. If AI companies are not forced to fully fund their electricity requirements, the rest of us will pay for it. We are starting to see communities rise up and protest the building permits for AI data centers in their areas.

We just found out that Ken Paxton, the most corrupt politician in Texas, has taken nearly half a million dollars from data center companies. That explains why as Attorney General, Ken Paxton ignored our neighbors in Hood County after they asked him to help temporarily block the construction of a data center in their community. Texans cannot afford a senator who's bought by big data centers. In the Senate, I will fight to stop data centers from being built in our communities if they cannot meet the most basic demands of those communities.
