This Smoothie King employee stayed so calm during one of the most awkward customer meltdowns. A customer comes up complaining that her smoothie wasn’t blended properly. Instead of just accepting a refund, she starts recording the whole interaction, insisting the employee confirm out loud that she “couldn’t” make the smoothie. The employee (who’s clearly trying to help) keeps her cool, repeatedly asks for the card so she can process the refund, and gently points out that the customer is holding up the line for everyone behind her. The customer keeps pushing, the employee stays polite and professional the entire time, and it finally ends with the employee handing over the cash and saying “have a good day.” Have you ever been on either side of a customer service moment like this?

A woman and her husband went to the store to get an Apple gift card for $100. After they got it, they had tried to use it for their iPhone. The opened the package and got the card out, the last few digits on the back of the card are missing and she couldn’t use it. She goes back to the store and speaks to customer service about a refund. Customer service claims they can’t do anything about it because there are no refunds on gift cards and they need to call the company the card is for. She then pulls a few of the same cards off of the display and opens them in front of customer service and proves to them that they all have the same issue. This does look like the card was manufactured defectively and the customer service rep acknowledged it, but why are they leaving it on the shelf for other people to buy it and be ripped off?

When another employee made it, the store was out of steak and mayo so she just made another meatball sandwich without consulting with the customer first. The customer is upset and says that if they were out of steak then they should have called and let her know so she could get something else instead of having the decision made for her. The employee defended the other employee and claims they aren’t allowed to call the customer and that the situation was appropriate. When the customer gets mad she then tells her to come down to the store as if to provoke a confrontation.
