we need an elevated garden walk in #Valvanlake #even walking track needs immense work/maintenance on it. Boundary wall surrounding the lake needed very much..#Flower garden/basic garden amenities are missing #entire garden area has been encroached by illegal parkings/hutments

A large tree fell on the Nature Trail at Malabar Hill earlier today. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. Garden Department and the Hydraulic Engineer's Department immediately reached the site and commenced the work of removing the fallen tree. For the public safety, Nature Trail has been temporarily closed to visitors until urgent repair works and safety inspections are completed. An idea which came into life few months ago. Kunal Shah and I started talking and then we put this across to Devendra Fadnavis and in an instant our idea was approved. Mangal Prabhat Lodha provided wholehearted support. Probably a first in the world, a Museum celebrating entrepreneurship is coming soon in Mumbai. Mumbai has been the bedrock of entrepreneurship for over 10 decades and we need to capture that and document these amazing individuals so that our future generations learn and get inspired! Maharashtra State Innovation Society and Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM) are going to play a pivotal role in its execution!

📢Marina Park Update📢 🌳The new elevated tree walkway, woodland paths, and Barrington’s Folly section of Marina Park has opened today! 🚶‍♀️This is the second section of Phase 2 of the 32 hectare Marina Park to open, with Holland Park and the playground having opened over the summer. The final section, Atlantic Pond, is on track to reopen to the public this coming November. Marina Park, when completed, will be a regional park six times the size of Fitzgerald’s Park, the green heart at the centre of the 146 hectares regenerated Docklands area. It will be the first URDF (Urban Regeneration and Development Fund) funded project to be delivered as part of the Cork Docklands regeneration.

In certain locations, an unprecedented volume of rainfall exceeding 350 millimetres was recorded within a short duration. ☔️In light of the prevailing weather conditions, all departments of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) were actively and continuously engaged in on-ground operations. Officers, engineers, pump operators, health workers, other staff and emergency response teams remained deployed on-field with utmost dedication and promptness. 🔹Special attention was given to critical work such as the storm water drainage system, sewerage network and pumping stations. Clean Shores Today. Greener Tomorrow. 🌱🌊 Building the Mumbai Metropolitan Region of tomorrow means creating infrastructure that grows in harmony with nature. On the occasion of #WorldEnvironmentDay, MMRDA, through Maharashtra Nature Park, organised a special beach clean-up drive at Carter Road, Bandra West, reinforcing its commitment towards environmental sustainability and mangrove conservation. With active participation from Standard Chartered Bank and Swachh Vasundhara Abhiyaan volunteers, the initiative helped collect nearly 225 kg of plastic waste from the shoreline and mangrove areas, which has been sent for recycling. MMRDA also distributed indoor plants and encouraged citizens to adopt simple sustainable habits like reducing plastic use and choosing eco-friendly alternatives. Women Leading the Start-up Revolution in Maharashtra! Inaugurated the 'Innovation Mahakumbha 2025' organised by SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, today in collaboration with Ministry of Education, GoI and Department of Higher and Technical Education, Maharashtra. It is remarkable that when women in the United Kingdom received the right to vote in 1918, India already had an entire women’s university established two years earlier, in 1916 by Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, reflecting his true progressive vision. The Government of Maharashtra has announced a new Start up, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy aimed at building more incubators, creating platforms, and nurturing entrepreneurs. Many start ups in Maharashtra have grown into successful large scale industries through these initiatives. Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of 'Start up India' in 2014 transformed India into the world’s third largest start up ecosystem, now rapidly advancing toward the second position. Notably, 45% of Maharashtra’s start ups are led by women, a testament to the rising power of women entrepreneurs. Women Innovators will have the decisive role in order to make Maharashtra a trillion dollar economy and India a five trillion dollar economy.
