Emergency response operations are currently underway in Dnipro at the site of a Russian missile strike. Preliminary reports indicate it was a ballistic missile. Unfortunately, one person was killed — my condolences to their family and loved ones. As of now, five others have been reported injured. All are receiving medical assistance. Earlier today, there was an air raid alert in Kyiv due to an attack drone. Many regions have reported Russian strikes and shelling. In particular, Nikopol was hit by five Russian FPV drones — a completely deliberate strike on the city, near a food market, targeting civilians. Twelve people were injured, including one child. There were also Russian attacks on Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions. Sumy region continues to suffer constant attacks by guided aerial bombs. And all of this is happening nearly a month after the United States proposed a full ceasefire. Russia is clearly ignoring diplomacy and using its contacts with the world solely to serve its own interests — not to end the war. Ukraine proposed to extend the ceasefire after Easter and make it comprehensive. Our proposal to halt strikes on civilian infrastructure remains on the table as well. What’s needed is genuine readiness from Russia to engage in this conversation. There are and will be no impasses on the Ukrainian side.

Unfortunately, there were hits. There are wounded, including three children. All are receiving the necessary assistance. There were also strikes on the Odesa and Sumy regions. Another round of deliberate strikes and damage to energy facilities – an FPV drone hit a substation in the Sumy region, and in Nikopol, Dnipro region, a power line was damaged by artillery fire. Nearly 4,000 consumers in two regions were left without electricity due to these strikes. Russian aerial bomb attacks also continue – just in the Sumy region, and just from yesterday to this morning, the Russians used nearly 50 guided aerial bombs. This systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates that Moscow despises the diplomatic efforts of partners. Putin does not even want to ensure a partial ceasefire. What’s needed is new and tangible pressure on Russia to put this war on a path toward ending. We should not wait until April 11, when it will be a month since Russia said “no” to the American proposal for a ceasefire. Action must be taken as soon as possible. We are ready to work with all our partners in the U.S., Europe, and around the world in the most constructive way to achieve this much-needed result—a dignified and lasting peace.

Sleazebags. There have been virtually no days without killings during this whole time, while the United States, Europe, and other global actors have been urging Russia to agree to a ceasefire and negotiations to end the war. But Russia remains fully committed to war, and they prove it with both their strikes and their statements. All of this is the argument for new, tougher sanctions against Russia. I’m grateful to all Americans and Europeans who support this approach of pressuring Russia into peace, it’s extremely important. Russia must feel what war truly means.

Overnight, there was yet another Russian attack with missiles and drones—ballistic strikes and more than 140 attack drones in a single night. It was loud in Kyiv and in other cities. Tragically, there are wounded and killed. My condolences to all the families affected. Rescue efforts continue all day in Kharkiv, Sumy, and the capital. It is entirely fair that the Russian sky—the sky of the aggressor—is not calm either today. Ukraine’s proposal for a ceasefire of at least 30 days still stands, we are not withdrawing it, as it offers a real chance for diplomacy. But it is Russia that the world sees giving no answer—no response except for new strikes. This clearly and obviously shows who is the source of this war. Russia must end its aggression—and it will have to. The only question is time. War is a loss for everyone, including the aggressor.

Over the past 24 hours, Russians have already used 55 attack drones against Ukraine, most of them Shaheds. There were deliberate strikes on Dnipro and Kharkiv, as well as on communities in the Sumy and Donetsk regions. Ordinary houses and civilian infrastructure were damaged – stores, a healthcare center, a gas pipeline. Unfortunately, a significant number of people were injured. Eleven people were taken to hospitals in Dnipro and Kharkiv. In Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, a child — an 11-year-old girl — was injured in a Russian strike. In the village of Bilyi Kolodyaz', Kharkiv region, Russians attacked the village council building with an FPV drone strike right during the distribution of humanitarian aid. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance. I thank our medical workers, emergency and utility services, police officers, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Only in unity can we protect lives from such constant Russian terror. And that is precisely why we need the support of our partners – to save as many people as possible from continuous Russian attacks. War does not abate from talks and statements, and Moscow ignores any diplomacy because they believe they have the liberty to do so. Increasing pressure on Russia is essential to stop the strikes. In Odesa and the region, repair work is ongoing to restore power supply to people after a brutal strike on the energy sector. All necessary services are involved, and the work will continue for as long as needed. Residential buildings and the port were also damaged overnight. This is, in particular, how Russia is systematically waging war against global food security. As of now, eight people are known to have been injured. Everyone is receiving assistance. In Kharkiv, a direct drone strike destroyed four floors of an ordinary residential high-rise. Dozens of people were wounded, and two people were killed. My condolences… In Pavlohrad, there was an absolutely wicked strike near a shopping mall and on energy infrastructure. Nine people were injured in the city, including four children. Russia continues to bet on ballistic terror, which is not limited to just one city or community. Iranian “shaheds” enhanced by Russia hit a church in Lviv – this is utterly perverse, and only the likes of Putin could take pleasure in it. In Ivano-Frankivsk, a maternity hospital was damaged. The scale of today’s attack strongly indicates that Russia has no intention of really ending this war. If we take into account that Russia is also helping the Iranian regime to carry out strikes across the region, the conclusion becomes self-evident: without additional and strong pressure on Russia, without significant Russian losses, those in Moscow will not develop any desire to back down from the war and somehow come to terms with peace again. Pressure is clearly lacking right now. On the contrary, there are signals encouraging Russia to continue what they have been doing for years, only increasing their aggressiveness. The fact that sanctions against Russia have been partially eased serves Russia’s interest to continue the war. The Russians will earn at least two billion dollars from the easing of sanctions in these weeks alone. This is dangerous for everyone.

Yesterday, at the meeting in Istanbul, the proposal for an immediate and full ceasefire was reiterated to the Russian side. In response, Russian drones struck residential buildings and the Pryvoz market in Odesa, apartment blocks in Cherkasy, energy infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, a university gym in Zaporizhzhia. Donetsk, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were all under strikes as well. In total, there were 103 attack drones, mostly “Shaheds,” and four missiles. Every night, Russia chooses cities and communities to target with its strikes. Tragically, three people were killed in the Kharkiv region. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. More than ten others were injured, including a nine-year-old child in Cherkasy. Yesterday, at the meeting in Istanbul, the proposal for an immediate and full ceasefire was reiterated to the Russian side. In response, Russian drones struck residential buildings and the Pryvoz market in Odesa, apartment blocks in Cherkasy, energy infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, a university gym in Zaporizhzhia. Donetsk, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were all under strikes as well. In total, there were 103 attack drones, mostly “Shaheds,” and four missiles. Every night, Russia chooses cities and communities to target with its strikes. Tragically, three people were killed in the Kharkiv region. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. More than ten others were injured, including a nine-year-old child in Cherkasy.
