Tesla's Chief Designer Franz on Optimus: "It's going to be huge piece of Tesla, a huge piece in our world, as we look into the future, the ability to take menial tasks and things that you don't necessarily want to do and have them uploaded to somebody, a human, that can do that. We've been designing the robot that really looks at how humans work in the world. This world is designed around humans, and so I think having a robot that can do the things that humans can do can really start to take those menial tasks away and enrich in our lives, make our lives better we get to spend more time doing the things that we love. It's been incredibly fast paced, but the progress is, like, unbelievable in the short amount of time that the team has been working on it, and we've been growing the team and building the project the same time. I think we're breaking ground in this space everyday. The team is really energized and fired out. Elon Musk is incredibly involved in this. It's a great project to be a part of, and seeing where the future is gonna go and how it's going to enrich our lives is super exciting."

That's a risky thing because you'll find a way to express that by investing and make some compromises on the team because you know this idea is just so good, its time has come. But if the team isn't there, 90% of the time it doesn't work. Then there's a whole thing can you swap out the team? But the whole Founders Fund thesis was always no, you need the founder to run the company. But on the company side, you have to be in love with the idea. It's not that rational to start a company. There's a lot easier, more comfortable ways to make money if that's the goal. So it's got to be about what the company is doing specifically. If you want to actually start a company, it better be something that you're really passionate about, or you think that the problem is really important."

Our customers exposed us. Here’s how: For the first time, we invited our customers into our manufacturing facility. Just like I have spent years exposing food companies, we asked them to do the same with Only What's Needed by Food Pharmer. A few months ago, I posted our factory tour on our website. At the same time, I realise that I can be biased and may end up showing only the good parts. That is why this time I asked our customers to investigate the factory themselves. When customers come in person, they see things as they are, the good and the bad. We’re going to keep opening up our factories for customer visits, because if you’re consuming something every day, you deserve to see how it’s actually made.

I really like 's interactive landing page My favorite landing pages are the ones that drop you straight into the application and let you use it, you barely see that though I think it makes sense because why would you even need to sell to a customer with a big sales-y landing page if your product is impressive enough to convince them to buy it just by using it? ElevenLabs does a great mix of being able to actually use all the basic features as a demo while still being a traditional landing page This is easier with sites like Nomad List, because people just browse cities and it doesn't cost me much, but it's much harder to do this with AI apps because they cost a lot of money for every time you generate something (like photo, audio or text). One idea I had for Photo AI is to pre-generate a lot of combos of photos then on the landing page make a little demo and let them choose default models (like white man, black woman, etc.) and prompts etc. Then I just pre-gen all those combinations (like 10,000 pics, maybe $100) and I can have a demo on the landing page Unaffiliated with ElevenLabs btw, just like the website!

The mistake people make: "People often make this mistake thinking 'Oh, I should just have some rest and then regain energy.' This is not how it works. You gain energy by doing something. So you start doing something, then it happens. You feel motivated, you feel inspired, and then ultimately you do something else a little bit more." He continues: "The whole point is to do first and then feel, not feel and then do. Going to the gym is a good example. There are many days when you don't want to start working out. NRG Strong on the lessons they can take away from their loss to Paper Rex: "I would say the major lesson we probably had was the importance of setting up the players for success. I don't think we did as well as we could today. Maybe there's one or two things we could have done better. I think the major lesson, to be fair, is that our fundamentals are strong. We didn't play badly at all today. But because of how we are as a team, it can always come down to very tight margins. We're a team that doesn't generally blow teams out. We're a team that is so, so good at grinding out rounds and doing that sort of stuff. So I think the big lesson is: we're good, our fundamentals are good, we just have to be tight, and we just can't let anything for error slip in. There are lessons to be taken from this. NRG Strong on the lessons they can take away from their loss to Paper Rex: "I would say the major lesson we probably had was the importance of setting up the players for success. I don't think we did as well as we could today. Maybe there's one or two things we could have done better. I think the major lesson, to be fair, is that our fundamentals are strong. We didn't play badly at all today. But because of how we are as a team, it can always come down to very tight margins. We're a team that doesn't generally blow teams out. We're a team that is so, so good at grinding out rounds and doing that sort of stuff.
