@EuroConOfficial "Judiciary GOP: Brussels May Have Interfered in Eight EU Elections. Documents released by the Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee point to systematic intervention by the European Commission to shape political and electoral discourse across several countries. The most sensitive aspect of the report is the direct link between these practices and specific electoral processes. Since 2023, the Commission held meetings with digital platforms ahead of national elections in Ireland in both 2024 and 2025; in France in 2024; in the Netherlands in 2023 and again in 2025; in Slovakia in 2023; in Moldova in 2024; and in Romania that same year. In every case, the meetings took place at critical moments of the campaign".

Of Course it's a scam. When has any elections in recent history made a difference to the indigenous. Votes get flipped. Massive fraud. If they can do it in the US, like what happened to Trump, they can do it anywhere.

With good reason, as you have documented in real time as it was happening, since you just happened to be where the action was most of the time. By the merest chance, of course!😉

Supporting democratic institutions, free media and parties that respect the constitutional order is not “election interference.” Buying votes, secretly financing candidates, spreading coordinated disinformation and intimidating voters is — precisely what Russia has repeatedly been accused of doing in Moldova. Jim Ferguson presents an activist’s allegation as the finding of a “congressional investigation,” yet supplies no evidence that the EU manipulated a single vote. Defending democracy is not the same as choosing for the electorate. Calling both “interference” merely provides cover for those actually trying to corrupt elections.

🚨🇩🇪“RUSSIAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE” — BUT THE CHANNEL HAD JUST 351 SUBSCRIBERS? German MEP Petr Bystron raises serious questions about the narrative used to describe alleged Russian interference ahead of the European Parliament elections. He describes a Prague-based news operation that authorities alleged was being used as a vehicle for Russian influence across Europe. So Bystron says they looked at its actual reach. According to him, its English-language YouTube channel had just: 351 SUBSCRIBERS. And videos receiving, he says, an average of only: 4 OR 5 LIKES. Yet Europeans were being warned that an operation of this kind represented an attempt to manipulate elections across the European Union. Then Bystron makes the much bigger allegation. He says that during the political campaign surrounding these accusations, the conservative grouping he is discussing ultimately lost 27 seats. That does not by itself prove the campaign caused those losses. But it raises a question worth examining: WHO WAS ACTUALLY INFLUENCING THE ELECTION? A tiny media operation allegedly pushing Russian propaganda? Or the enormous political and media response generated around the allegation itself? If governments are going to invoke “foreign interference” during an election campaign, the evidential threshold should be exceptionally high. Because accusations of election interference can themselves influence voters. And once that happens, the institutions claiming to protect democracy risk becoming participants in the political process. 351 SUBSCRIBERS. 4–5 LIKES PER VIDEO. AN ALLEGED THREAT TO ELECTIONS ACROSS EUROPE. Petr Bystron asks whether the real manipulation was somewhere else entirely. WATCH AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. Petr Bystron

🚨🇩🇪“THEY ARE INFLUENCING ELECTIONS” — GERMAN MEP PETR BYSTRON This should concern anyone who believes elections belong to the people. German MEP Petr Bystron points to one of the most controversial statements made by former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton following the annulment of Romania's presidential election. Speaking about enforcement of European rules, Breton said words translated as: “We did it in Romania, and we will obviously do it if necessary in Germany.” Bystron's interpretation is explosive. He argues that what Europe calls protecting democracy is increasingly becoming interference in the democratic process itself. Breton disputes that interpretation and has maintained that he was talking about enforcing EU law against online interference — not claiming Brussels could simply overturn elections. But that makes the question even more important: WHAT EXACTLY DID “WE DID IT IN ROMANIA” MEAN? Romania's presidential election was annulled. Germany's AfD has faced extraordinary political and institutional pressure. And Bystron says these developments have now caught the attention of lawmakers in the United States. Democracy cannot mean: “You may vote for anyone you like — provided the establishment approves of the result.” If European institutions are acting solely to protect elections from unlawful interference, show the evidence. Show the legal basis. Show exactly what interventions took place. Because protecting democracy and managing its outcomes are two very different things. THE PEOPLE MUST DECIDE WHO GOVERNS THEM. NOT BRUSSELS. Petr Bystron

🇷🇴“THE EVIDENCE DOESN’T EXIST” — EXPLOSIVE CLAIM OVER ROMANIA’S CANCELLED ELECTION This goes directly to the heart of one of the most extraordinary democratic controversies in modern Europe. In my interview with Laura Gherasim, we return to the annulment of Romania's 2024 presidential election. And Laura makes an extraordinary allegation. She argues that the justification necessary to cancel the election was never established — and says: “WE WILL NEVER HAVE THE EVIDENCE, SIMPLY BECAUSE IT DOESN’T EXIST.” Think about the gravity of that statement. An election was annulled. Millions of votes were effectively discarded. A presidential candidate was subsequently prevented from standing in the rerun. Yet the fundamental question remains: WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE THAT JUSTIFIED OVERTURNING THE RESULT? Laura argues that allegations of electoral interference must be proved, not simply asserted. That principle should transcend Romanian politics. If democratic institutions possess compelling evidence justifying the cancellation of an election, the public deserves to see the case laid out transparently. If they cannot produce it, then Europe has a much bigger problem. Because democracy cannot mean voters are sovereign only when institutions approve of their decision. THIS IS WHY I WENT TO ROMANIA TO INVESTIGATE. Watch this exchange carefully. The implications extend far beyond Romania. IF AN ELECTION CAN BE CANCELLED WITHOUT THE PUBLIC EVER SEEING CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE, WHAT DOES “DEMOCRACY” ACTUALLY MEAN? Laura Gherasim 🇷🇴 George Simion 🇲🇩

At Wednesday’s Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, Senator Mark Warner pressed Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard on the fact that her 2026 Annual Threat Assessment contains no mention of foreign election interference for the first time since 2017. Warner treated this as a scandal, evidence that the intelligence community has been muzzled by the Trump administration. Gabbard deflected, saying the assessment “matches the prioritization of threats.” Warner shot back, sarcastically, “I would draw the conclusion there must be no foreign threat to our elections in 2026.” It’s probably the right conclusion. The evidence for foreign interference in U.S. elections was always thin, the response to it was wildly disproportionate, and the infrastructure built to “counter” it did far more damage to American democracy than the interference itself ever did. As I testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government in March 2023, and again in November 2023, the “foreign interference” narrative became the predicate for a domestic censorship operation of extraordinary scope, one that Alex Gutentag and I have spent three years documenting at Public, and which we named the Censorship Industrial Complex. Removing the topic from the threat assessment is a long-overdue correction. Gabbard should have said so plainly and directly....
