Another big 🧠 move by FSD. As lead vehicles pass, FSD does not blindly follow. It waits for clear visibility, and continues to wait patiently until it has sufficient runway to execute the pass safely. V14 understands that humans can’t be trusted.

Finally caught this low visibility, one-lane covered bridge during a complicated moment. How does FSD handle it? Like a legend. As we approach, FSD yields for the pedestrian and oncoming car. Before proceeding, FSD notices the approaching pickup truck, yields until it is apparent that the truck is going to yield for us, at which point it proceeds through the bridge flawlessly. FSD V14.2 demonstrates awareness of one lane bridge, understands that approaching pickup is a potential obstruction, and waits until it is clear that we can proceed. You can completely forget about this happening on any version pre-14. V14 does an incredible job with context and predicting potential future events. And it does it all so quickly and with such certainty. The intelligence is getting nutty.

Tesla FSD v14.1.4 on Mad Max feat Halloween Enjoyers 🎃 at a school 🏫 While passing a high school around 6pm, off-duty police were working an after-school Halloween function when my car approached. As the police stepped in to direct traffic, the car in front rushes ahead. FSD yields to the police, waits for a family to pass… hesitates, because it saw another person approaching the crosswalk late from another camera, lets that person pass and THEN proceeds. I’m really looking forward to these upcoming Tesla FSD updates: • FSD V14 “Lite” for HW3 owners: Can’t wait to try it, even as a daily HW4 user. It’s expected to release at the end of this month and include the same features as HW4 V14. • Pothole Avoidance: This will be very welcome, especially for Teslas with lower-profile tires. It will be a game changer for me. • FSD Remembering Your Parking Preferences: Elon Musk says future FSD releases will remember your parking preferences when arriving at a destination. Great for garages, work spots, etc. • Grok Voice Commands for FSD: Elon Musk says the ability to prompt FSD with language is coming within ~3 months. You’ll be able to use your voice to tell the car what to do or where to go. This will be incredibly cool. CANT WAIT.

Semi signals left, FSD immediately bleeds 6mph as it anticipates a move by the semi and doesn’t want to path block. Semi shifts back right, FSD hammers it to pass. There’s a computer chip in my car thinking at sub-second speed. Photon in, action out.

Tesla Self-Driving waits patiently for an oncoming train while human drivers pass through a closing gate. I've always been impressed with how FSD handles rail crossings, but this one was particularly impressive since it shows the difference between impatient humans and FSD. For any doubters, the train passed by a few seconds later after the arms fully closed - what the cement truck driver and other driver did are undeniably stupid.

Tesla on FSD is smart enough to autonomously navigate drive-thrus. It stops at the window, waits for me to pay and grab my order, then proceeds when I’m finished. All by itself. It would be cool if one day Tesla added “drive-thru” as a destination option for FSD.

“The cameras need some kind of ability to be cleaned. This is not good for winter time driving!” Watch Tesla FSD v14 fail because its cameras can’t see in snowy conditions. FSD is a defective prototype with a serious hardware problem. It should be banned from public roads.

FSD's performance has once again surpassed humans. While waiting at an intersection for the green light, FSD suddenly moved forward. The driver thought FSD was about to run a red light and prepared to disengage. However, FSD only moved forward slightly and then stopped. it didn’t run the red light. It turned out that a car behind was trying to squeeze past from FSD’s left rear side. FSD judged that the space was too narrow and unsafe, as it might get hit, so it moved to avoid the situation. Amazing V14.3.4 clip that joel just sent me and asked me to share from his M3P. What I love most about this clip is that FSD understands what needs to happen and reacts BEFORE the lead car even throws it in reverse. This is such a critical indicator that FSD isn’t just reacting to objects in its path, but actually understands what happens next before it even needs to start backing up to clear the dodge ram. This is one of my favorite edge cases in a minute. FSD IS THE TRUTH

People are complaining and saying Tesla FSD should not be allowed on the road. I vote for a motion to get BMW drivers off the road. FSD is not the hazard. It just patiently waited for this idiot driver, creating a safe environment on the road

Reasoning is what really changed the game with FSD V14, and as they implement more of it, it’s going to be game over. Here’s a great example. FSD exits the parking lot of this coffee shop. If you zoom into the nav at the top right corner, you can see that it’s telling me to turn left (illegal to do so here). This has been a map error at this shop for a while. On all previous FSD versions, I’d disengage here as FSD would try to make the illegal left. With V14.2 reasoning, the car gathers context, understands it isn’t supposed to turn left here/ignores nav and triggers the re-route.

Road conditions are not ideal. Plows are clearing the lanes but the snow continues to fall. Visibility is not great and will deteriorate as darkness approaches. If you can stay home and wait for the system to pass it'll be better for all. #OnStorm. ^ks

One of the reasons why Annick De Ridder wanted to do more tests in Belgium for Tesla FSD, is to see how it reacts to the priority that trams have in our country. This says it all: bus with human driver is blocking its way, while FSD simply waits for it to pass (leaving room for both tram lines btw). How is this not allowed in all countries yet? UNECE European Commission European Transport Safety Council
