Today marked my final day at Apple, closing an incredible two-and-a-half-year chapter of my career. During my time here, I had the privilege of conceptualizing and building the framework that powers real-time 3D experiences across project that defined a whole new discipline. I was also fortunate to contribute to the launches of multiple products, including Apple Vision Pro, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and iPhone 16 Pro. I’m deeply grateful for the friendships I’ve made along the way and will forever cherish the memories of this remarkable journey with such talented individuals.

btw, this is pure nonsense. If you do teardowns of iPhone vs other major OEM phones, iPhone has far & away the least Chinese components. iPhone uses Chinese suppliers when there are no reasonable alternatives like the 3D printed Ti USB-C tech below & to keep mkt access open to the world's largest phone mkt. In fact, an Apple that does not use Chinese supply chain would not be able to charge the premium it currently charges bc the battery life would be terrible & it would not achieve the ultra-thin build.

Every time I pick up the iPhone Air, I’m blown away by how thin and light it is. I just keep turning it in my hands, can’t believe we’ve reached this point. Of course, my main phone will still be the iPhone 17 Pro Max with its big battery and pro cameras, but I dream of the day we get that power in an iPhone Air form factor. It’s so so good.

Even though the OnePlus 15R has a way bigger battery, the iPhone 17 uses less battery per hour on average: iPhone 17: 163 mAh used per hour OnePlus 15R: 181 mAh used per hour iPhone 17 is more efficient in terms of battery drain per hour of use. But the point is, OnePlus 15R is slim too, and no one stopped Apple from using a bigger battery. If a slim Android phone can pack 7400mAh, Apple choosing 3692mAh is a design decision, not a limitation.
