Ubisoft should go back to using motion capture cutscenes for every new Assassin's Creed game that comes out from now on. Its shocking to see just how atrocious the cutscenes in Assassin's Creed Shadows are compared to Black Flag Resynced.

Ubisoft has gained this reputation after years making games that have been bad by current AAA standards and dogshit practices that every time I post Assassin’s Creed BF Resynced content, there has always been a comment or reply asking me “how much did Ubisoft pay you?” To make it clear, I bought this game with my own money and I was never paid to praise or promote it. Resynced has its fair share of serious issues that cannot be overlooked; buying all paid cosmetics costing more than the game itself, the cutscenes being capped to 30FPS or the fact that it requires online connection in the physical disc. All of these are valid issues and criticism that Ubisoft as a company should do better. That being said it, compared to what Ubisoft was making these past few years, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced for the most part is a pretty good video-game imo, they've done an excellent job at remaking the original game. The upgraded visuals make the experience much better, new game mechanics like underwater swimming at any time and the removal of loading screens when docking or boarding is such a welcome feature. They've also done an amazing job at optimizing this game for PC which is quite rare these days for open world games. What are your thoughts?

I understand Ubisoft is trying hard to stay above water at this point, I mean their stock is down -93.07% for the past 5 years. But focusing on quality is just a small piece of the puzzle, they should go back to their roots and just simply tell a good story. Get rid of the bloat, bring back motion captured cutscenes instead of horrible facial animations and tell a good story. I don't care if the map is larger than their previous game or that they have more side quests (which are mostly mid), gamers just want to enjoy a good story. There are so many recent Ubisoft games and they haven't given me that feeling of watching an actual masterpiece being told because their stories feel like Ubisoft is afraid of taking any risks. Assassins Creed IV is a perfect example of how bold Ubisoft used to be, when I experienced this cutscene for the first time, it sent shivers down my spine due to how good it was. I really hope AC: IV Resynced will be a success so Ubisoft can focus on giving us great games again.

I can't wait to experience the beauty of Assassin's Creed Black Flag again now that Ubisoft has confirmed the remake. AC: IV Black Flag holds a special place in my heart and Ubisoft recent track record with their latest games hasn't been all that good either so the only thing I'm really hoping this time is that the remake is faithful to the series. Is it just me or have chase missions been significantly nerfed in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. In this side by side comparison you can see how easy it is to tackle this first enemy in Resynced (I intentionally don't tackle him to show how he slows down) In the original game, this same chase was quite difficult as the enemy NPC wouldn't slow down and even climb some buildings.

Just finished the Attack on Titan Crossover quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows. My jaw dropped during this cutscene, not due to how amazing it was but how bad it was. I'd say this is the most low-effort I've seen that has been put into a Ubisoft game, nothing screamed interesting about this quest and when you finally get to face a titan, you're just running away from it until its trapped underground and that's it, nothing happens. You don't win anything except for a promotion of new cosmetics that cost around $20. I wasted 30 minutes of my life completing this so you don't have to endure this

Ubisoft please consider removing the camera cut during double assassinations in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and future AC games. It's a significant downgrade compared to what we had in Assassin's Creed Unity, the original Assassin's Creed Black Flag and even other Assassin's Creed titles. The camera cut breaks the flow of gameplay and makes double assassinations feel awkward instead of smooth and seamless. We understand that the new Anvil engine is far more complex than the one used in previous games. But there are already mods for AC Shadows that remove the camera cut during double assassinations, and the animations look much smoother as a result. So, if you work on this, I'm sure you'll find a way to remove it as well. We hope future Assassin's Creed games will remove this camera cut and restore the seamless double assassination experience that made the older games feel so satisfying.

My biggest criticism for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced so far is the cutscenes quality in the new side missions For some reason that I cannot comprehend, they are not motion captured and instead use the RPG generic cutscene system Edward moves and is animated like Kassandra with a constant creepy smile, it stands out so badly especially because the main story cutscenes have kept the gorgeous original motion capture that look like lifelike to this day, making these seem even more awkward to be in the same game. They are better than they were in Shadows but still not as good as real cutscenes. The argument could be that its side content so its OK but all side content in AC4 was motion captured fully, like the Templar Hunts. I literally cannot understand why modern Ubisoft refuses to step into the mocap booth for new stuff, surely this is the most important thing for a remake is for new content to match up to the old? The level of detail and immersion in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a noticeable step up even from Shadows and it's really evident in this cool little island I found to explore. Oh, I also fought a jaguar so that was awesome.

The biggest red flag for Assassins Creed Shadows is not YAS-KAY (yes I know how to say it correctly now) but the fact that it’s a Ubisoft game. The prices for this game are just outrageous and on top of that, they didn’t have both characters be Japanese.

When I saw that Assassin's Creed Unity was getting a 60 FPS update for current gen consoles, I honestly could not wait to see it with my own eyes. And after playing it, I realized it is not just 60 FPS. The game also seems to be upscaled to 4K, which is absolutely insane in my opinion and the game runs incredibly smooth! Many of you know that I have never been the biggest fan of Unity. But I have to admit, maybe it is just placebo, yet it genuinely feels like the game plays better. Almost like the controller responds more precisely to what I actually want to do. I tested it properly in stealth and of course in parkour, and I have to say, it feels amazing! For PC players this might not be anything special. But for someone like me, mainly playing on console, finally being able to experience Assassin’s Creed Unity at 60 FPS is a game changer. And by the way, co op also seems to be working normally again. This is honestly crazy to see!

Ubisoft redemption arc. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is looking fantastic. Like a return to the old Ubisoft before all the BS that destroyed the studio. I have to say this makes we want to play the game. Some details: - Remake with anvil engine. - Upgraded combat - New content: new quests, characters and story - No multiplayer mode, focused on Edward's Caribbean story. A lot of original devs returned to help make this. Up for preorder now. Ubisoft really lost their way, culminating in the scuttling of the company and spinning of the best IPs to a new Tencent invested entity. Gotta say it's looking like they are starting to make the right moves.

After playing Shadows for 5 hours i cannot believe how bad it really is This feels like someone tried to make ghost of tsushima. Its not just a bad Assasins creed game but a bad game overall The game has a 3 HOUR PROLOGUE which is about 80% cutscenes that can damn near put you to sleep The voice acting is Godawful and many NPCs do not have lines at all and have a nodding animation instead with subtitles Every single combat encounter is the same and you character has 1 basic attack combo and TWO finishers you will be seeing over and over again till you get tired of them. Enemies have two states, getting beaten up by you or blocking unless they can interrupt them with a unblockable. A average enemy has maybe 1 or two attacks total if even that The world is the standard ubisoft stuff except the parkour has gotten significantly worse and more scarce becouse of the new control scheme The store is selling literally 30 diffrent bundles day 1 for real currency too which is standard stuff nowadays for ubisoft but its cranked up to 10 this time It runs like shit even on a 4070ti with a ryzen 7 7800x3d even on LOW SETTINGS I dont know why anyone would bother actually playing this dogshit, play literally any other game in the franchise pre-syndicate
