I literally just watched it and what this made me think of is their any deep connections we could have missed purely off of misunderstanding. Really makes you wonder and look back. You absolutely right. What could have been?

This episode wrecked me, forced me to reevaluate my choices and is truly the best episode of television I’ve ever seen. No forced emotional beats - the whole damn thing happened naturally. Even recounting the story to a friend the next day I burst into tears.

Black obesity rates and heart disease rates aren’t about slurs from the past; they’re about what we eat and how little we move today. It’s not oppression and racism keeping us unhealthy. That’s a pathetic excuse. It’s diet, inactivity, the choices we make daily, and the people perpetually acting like we don’t need to take accountability for what we eat and how much we exercise.
