@foundmyfitness ADHD medication is a billion dollar industry .. 20 minutes of intense exercise produces the same dopamine and norepinephrine spike .. Nobody wants to hear that ..

@foundmyfitness Impulse control is so often framed as a willpower problem when it's really a nervous system state problem. Hard to regulate behavior from a dysregulated baseline - intense exercise is one of the few tools that shifts the baseline itself, not just the symptom.

@foundmyfitness Brain adaptations to exercise are closely tied to mechanical and metabolic stimulus quality. Inconsistent loading patterns blunt CNS adaptation compared to regular, full-range stimulus - one more reason training consistency matters beyond muscle.

@foundmyfitness Huberman drops brain gains from HIIT. Pro tip: Fuel with farm-fresh, not seed oil sludge. Keep speaking truth

@foundmyfitness Wasn’t she a huge proponent of the Vax? I thought I remembered her being very pro-vax on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

@foundmyfitness hmm but also I feel like a lot of HIIT and too intense excercise is not necessary and good strenght+stamina consistent training with no forcing yourself is actually better.... at least for me tho

The post-exercise plasticity window is criminally underused. BDNF spikes, PFC is online, the cost of interrupting an old pattern is at its lowest. Most people just scroll through it. I do my hardest reflection work right after training for exactly this reason. The hardware is temporarily upgraded. Might as well use it.

@foundmyfitness Anytime I get feeling really anxious a good 10 mile bike ride always cures it.

@foundmyfitness Recovery would be equally important. To turn off when required to get the maximum benefit out of it.

@foundmyfitness It’s wild how short bursts of intensity can have such a powerful impact on brain function—not just physical fitness.

@foundmyfitness 30mins everyday of some cool kettlebell workout does the trick for me. Pairing it with some pullups and dips and I'm done. Cool results, good hard effort. Simple and effective.

@foundmyfitness Being comfortable being uncomfortable is key to intense exercise. If you’re comfortable being uncomfortable of course impulse control improves

Absolutely, and a lack of physical fitness/challenge had contributed to the loneliness epidemic young people, especially men, are experiencing. Competence in the benefits of physical training lead to the gym, which leads to confidence in self, which leads to connection with others. One way to fight isolation. I categorize this in under The Athlete Archetype within my competence framework to counter male isolation. You can check it out as well as the other 15 here: Better yet, take the assessment to see which archetype youve neglected:

Intense exercise improving brain function and impulse control is powerful stuff. It’s a great reminder that some of the best tools for mental clarity and self-control are completely free and don’t require a prescription... just consistent effort. Health freedom includes taking ownership of our brain health through movement instead of outsourcing everything to pills. Have you noticed better focus or impulse control since adding more intense exercise?

@foundmyfitness Most people don’t lack discipline. They lack movement.
