Human safety testing for ultrasound has not been conducted since the late 1980s, when it was last done in China. Since then, the machines have become significantly more powerful, and 3D ultrasound and color flow Doppler deliver higher-intensity non-ionizing radiation than standard imaging. We know ultrasound affects cells in Petri dishes. We do not know what it does to developing human beings at the frequency and volume it is now being used. Few people ask this very simple question: Have four ultrasounds improved outcomes for mothers and babies? The answer is no. What has improved, though, is revenue generation for the maternal-fetal medicine profession. Women are being told that more testing is the right thing to do, without anyone stopping to ask whether it is actually making mothers or babies healthier. Getting a live baby in the bassinet is not the same thing as ensuring the long-term health of that child or that mother's future pregnancies. Algorithmic, automatic ultrasound for every pregnant woman is not evidence-based care. It is a protocol that has never been validated against outcomes and has never been proven safe. 👇

Dynamic ultrasound can reveal knee instability that static imaging may miss. 🔍🦵 During a combined maneuver (valgus stress + anterior drawer + tibial external rotation), ultrasound may show anterior translation of the medial tibial plateau followed by a sudden posterior snap of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus over the posterior tibial rim. Another insurance denial. Another patient put at risk. We did everything right. My PA saw a patient with signs of a Deep Venous Thrombosis (a dangerous blood clot). We ordered an ultrasound, confirmed the diagnosis, and prescribed the medication to help prevent dangerous complications. But her insurance denied the medication. Why? They wanted “more clinicals.” Despite an in-person examination. Despite appropriate documentation. Despite the ultrasound result showing a blood clot. She was sent home from the pharmacy without the treatment she needed. If I failed to prescribe the medication, I would be held accountable for putting this patient at risk. When will we admit that insurance companies are practicing medicine? When will we hold companies and individuals accountable for delays in care? I am going to continue to share these denials with you so you can see what it is like to be a doctor in 2025. We have to fix this—for patients, for providers, for all of us. 🚨They CANNOT SCAN kilometers into SOLID ROCK! That is what skeptics of the Khafre Project’s findings say, and they are correct to point out that Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) can't do this. They are also TOTALLY MISTAKEN, here is why: The Khafre team are not using conventional SAR imaging in the way critics assume. They are using a patented form of SAR Doppler Tomography, pioneered by Prof. Filippo Biondi. This is not simple surface imaging. It is a phase-coherent interferometric method that detects subtle Doppler frequency shifts caused by internal micro-vibrations within dense structures. Instead of trying to penetrate rock, it “listens” to tiny seismic vibrations in the stone. Biondi’s trick is to capture micro-motions. Tiny seismic or structural tremors slightly shift the radar’s frequency (Doppler effect). By analyzing these Doppler shifts across multiple SAR images, they can reconstruct a 3D tomographic image of what’s inside, like a CT-scan from space. Prof. Filippop Biondi's patent (PCT/EP2023/064345) explicitly describes processing “coherent vibrational Doppler information” in SAR to allow penetrating 3D imaging "over a depth of several kilometers". In other words, it effectively turns the radar into a spaceborne sonar, using Earth’s natural vibrations to “sound” the subsurface, something ordinary SAR can’t do. A peer-reviewed Remote Sensing paper describes using COSMO-SkyMed SAR data to map new shafts and chambers inside Khufu . This case study in a scientific journal shows the technique in action (with high-res 3D results!). Beyond pyramids, the technique has practical uses. For bridges and infrastructure, Biondi’s SAR Doppler method can extract a structure’s “vibration profile” from orbit. That profile highlights cracks or damage. In one study the team applied it to Italy’s Morandi Bridge before it collapsed, SAR-based vibration maps showed unusual energy spikes right at the failing pylon. They even imaged deep tunnels. The HarmonicSAR site reports they “detected for the first time the Gran-Sasso Physics Laboratory at 1.4 km below the Earth using SAR”. In other words, their tomography saw a known underground lab 1400 m under Italy! They’ve also done scans of mountain tunnels (San Gottardo). Biondi was co-author on a 2016 Scientific Reports paper tracking Iraq’s Mosul Dam instability via SAR. That study used spaceborne radar to measure tiny ground motions around the dam over time. It shows that SAR micro-motion techniques can monitor slow structural shifts on a large engineering project. In short, SAR Doppler Tomography isn’t ordinary radar, it’s like using satellites and the Earth’s own background hum to “see” underground. Think of it as applying a CT-scan or ultrasound-like method from orbit. It’s unconventional, but it’s patent-backed and has some peer-reviewed results. Abdominal wall pain: differential diagnosis A 28-year-old soccer player presented with right periumbilical pain of 2 months' duration. An MRI was performed, which showed no abnormalities in the abdominal wall. He was diagnosed with anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome (ACNES), and perineural injection was performed, with no improvement in symptoms. He came to the clinic for a second opinion, presenting with tenderness on palpation of the middle third of the rectus abdominis muscle, which increased with trunk resistance flexion. The pain decreased after this test was performed after muscle inhibition. An ultrasound assessment was completed, revealing no abnormalities in the discomfort, but evidence of increased thickness and decreased echogenicity of the tendon at its origin in the pubic ramus, associated with significant pain on sonopalpation, related to tendinosis. An evaluation was completed with a thoracic spine examination, revealing significant pain at the level of the spinous process of T8 (the rectus abdominis muscle is innervated by the T7-T12 thoracoabdominal nerves). It was decided to treat the patient with ultrasound-guided injections around the rectus abdominis tendon with 1 cc of triamcinolone and 1 cc of 2% lidocaine, and periradicular injections of the right T8 muscle with 2 cc of betamethasone and 1 cc of 2% lidocaine. The symptoms resolved immediately, and the patient did not reappear during the following two months of follow-up.

We are witnessing an extraordinary constitutional anomaly unfold before our eyes. The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam passed in September 2023 has come into force with being published in the Gazette only at 9.55pm last night. It is shocking that the Government brought amendments to a Constitutional provision that was not even published in the Gazette! This shows the Government’s unprepared and lackadaisical approach to serious lawmaking. This is also yet another evidence that the treasury benches look at Parliament as no more than a rubber stamp, not bothered about the procedures and protocol necessary for a fair legislative process.

A Smell Simulator That Uses Ultrasonic Waves Through Your Skull To Trick Your Brain Into Thinking Of A Smell That Is Not There. Instead of targeting your nose at all, the device directly targets the olfactory bulb in your brain with "focused ultrasound through the skull". The researchers say that as far as they're aware, no one has ever done this before, even in animals. “We found our ‘sweet spot’ to be low-frequency ultrasound focused right below the forehead and angled downward toward the bulbs. Specifically: • 300 kHz frequency (low enough to penetrate the skull well) • Focal depth of about 39 mm (where the ultrasound energy converged beneath the forehead) • 50–55° steering angles (to point the focus down toward the bulbs) • 5-cycle pulses at a 1200 Hz repetition rate (short, rapidly repeating bursts We distinguish between a smell and a sensation here because, subjectively, they feel different.
