@NavinaEvans The public do not want a dangerous expansion of a poorly trained workforce of non doctors. Trusts should be held accountable for their dangerous policies. It is not ok to replace doctors, surgeons and anaesthetists with people who do not have internationally accepted training.

@NavinaEvans What research underpins the expansion of the PA workforce? Where is the evidence to suggest their use as substitute Drs is safe? A study in the US suggests replacing drs with non-drs isn’t cost effective. Do you have evidence to suggest otherwise?

@NavinaEvans Unless you address the management structure, this plan will fail. Please take a look at the current cost, bullying, discrimination, absenteeism… then tell us again how this plan is going to work. It’s a great idea, but it’s like building a house without foundations it will fail.

@NavinaEvans Empty words not substance.. nothing towards retention..!

@NavinaEvans By “new roles” you mean *Physician Associates* instead of fully-qualified and fully-trained doctors for our surgeries and hospitals. “New ways of training” = training on the job without a medical degree. A very dangerous “new way of working”. We deserve better quality of care.

@NavinaEvans You are a complete disgrace. You are failing a generation of young doctors and pushing through expensive untrainable lookalikes. Putting patients at risk all over the country. You can’t even find places for new doctors but are handing their training to PAs. Utter disgrace.

@NavinaEvans Great to see this published with strong professional and political support. Potential to be game-changing, not just in terms of workforce growth but also improving staff experience and retention and continuing to innovate and improve to deliver the best possible care. A big day!

@NavinaEvans So the government introduced #IR35 and drove Doctors away for an overall tax benefit of 2.5 Billion quid. To address the shortage, the government spends 2.4 Billion quid. While the full effect of #IR35 means the economy is not growing. Great problem creation and solving skills.

@NavinaEvans

@NavinaEvans NHSE destroying standards.
