Drainage Dead, Roads Gone, Governance Missing The Karnataka Model in Action Widespread rains have once again exposed the crumbling infrastructure of Karnataka, especially in districts like Kodagu. The roads in Kodagu have completely submerged, resembling rivers more than thoroughfares. Commuters are struggling to make their way through waterlogged and dangerously damaged roads. The situation is nothing short of a civic disaster, and it speaks volumes about the inefficiency and apathy of the current administration. Look at the condition of the roads it's as if the government has abandoned the people. The drainage systems, which should have been upgraded and maintained before the onset of monsoons, have completely failed. Instead of draining the excess rainwater, these systems have become chokepoints, contributing to flooding and water stagnation. This isn't just an inconvenience anymore it's a risk to life and property. Under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah so-called “Karnataka Model,” the state has seen inflated promises and flashy headlines, but on the ground, the basic infrastructure tells a very different story. What good are free schemes and social guarantees if people cannot even step out of their homes without risking their lives on flooded, cratered roads? Is this the model the government is so proud of? A model where rural and semi-urban regions like Kodagu are neglected year after year, left at the mercy of rains and government apathy? The people of Karnataka deserve more than token gestures and PR campaigns. They deserve roads that can withstand seasonal rains, drainage systems that function, and a government that actually plans for the future instead of reacting to disasters after the damage is done. The condition of Kodagu’s roads today is a direct consequence of short-sighted governance, lack of accountability, and misplaced priorities. It’s high time the Siddaramaiah government stops playing the blame game and starts delivering real results. During the debate on the Anti Paper Leak Bill in Parliament, while addressing Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi ji, Supriya Sule remarked that Parliament is “not some Karnataka Assembly where hasi mazak is going on.” This was not merely a political jibe. It was an affront to the dignity of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, a constitutional institution that represents over 7 crore Kannadigas and has a proud democratic legacy. It is deeply ironic that the very Opposition which routinely lectures the nation about protecting institutions, federalism and constitutional values has no hesitation in belittling a State Legislature for the sake of scoring political points. Civil Rights Group, Le Front Citoyen Togo Debout has accused Togolese government agencies of killing at least seven (7) protesters and committing other heinous crimes against citizens in the recent protests against Faure Gnassingbé , who has had his grip on power since 2005, after succeeding his father. According to the group, seven bodies of some protesters allegedly arrested and tortured by soldiers and pro government militia groups have been recovered from rivers in the National capital. The three days uprising and protests in the Francophone country, follows a crackdown on major opposition figures and amendments to the constitution which made Faure Gnassingbé, President of the council of ministers, a role that has no official term limits.

Karnataka, once an hub of investors, is now a safe haven for terrorists, drug addicts, and the corrupts. While the state is in such disarray, the government seems more concerned about who writes what on Twitter and sends police to arrest those civilians. No action was taken against those who pelted stones at the police station and police personnel, but the police force was sent to arrest Harish Poonja ಹರೀಶ್ ಪೂಂಜ for being the voice of BJP karyakarthas.

EPS has become the embodiment of the saying: “Thaanum padukka maattaar, thalliyum padukka maattaar!” When EPS allotted losing seats to the BJP in an attempt to finish the party for good in Tamil Nadu, he believed he could form an ADMK government with a simple majority and permanently marginalize the BJP as a political force. It backfired spectacularly! Today, he is not even the Leader of the Opposition. After doing virtually nothing for 4½ years as the principal Opposition Leader, he tried to project himself as the primary anti-DMK force and expected people to vote for him purely based on the traditional DMK–ADMK five-year cycle. That backfired too. Vijay emerged as the fulcrum of the anti-DMK movement. After his disastrous defeat, instead of acting like a statesman by supporting Vijay, forming a coalition government, and becoming Deputy Chief Minister, EPS allegedly tried to crawl back to the CM’s chair through backdoor negotiations with the DMK. That too backfired. Nobody trusted him. When his CM ambitions collapsed, he reportedly tried to stop his own MLAs from supporting Vijay during the floor test. That backfired as well. His own MLAs have now abandoned him for good. Yet, EPS still does not seem to realise that he has lost his relevance in Tamil Nadu politics. Perhaps it is a toxic combination of ego, insecurity, and an inability to understand the seismic shift taking place in modern politics and the expectations of Gen Z voters. I think even many of his hardcore supporters may privately admit today that EPS has become the living embodiment of the phrase: “Thaanum padukka maattaar, thalliyum padukka maattaar!”

FOREST , of 63000 saplings, on a site that was DUMP YARD earlier !! This site in Bingipura, #Banagalore, unattended turned into a dumpyard receiving huge amount of waste every day. From 2015, with the efforts and support of local community, BBMP, and other organizations, initiatives focused on rehabilitating the site were started. From Mar 2022, SayTrees planted 63,000+ trees of more than 50 different species were planted. Over 3 years, this afforestation project has brought back the barren land to life. The accused, Raj Singh, is a resident of Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. In this video, Raj Singh can be seen campaigning for a BJP candidate, and in the accompanying picture, a minister from the Uttar Pradesh government is seen placing a protective hand on his shoulder. Shri Rahul Gandhi ji, It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter, not merely in my capacity as a senior leader of the BRS Party, but more importantly as a concerned citizen of this great nation. I wish to bring to your attention that the Congress government in Telangana appears to be operating not by the principles of Baba Saheb’s Constitution, but by the arbitrary exercise of power. The anti-constitutional actions of the Telangana Congress Government, which has trampled humanity and justice under the bulldozer, have now been exposed before the country. Today's High Court observations with respect to the Musi Riverfront and HYDRA issues are a stark reminder of this. The bulldozer has become a symbol of your Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s “unbridled power,” continuously undermining civil rights with arrogance. The bulldozer, which is being used to establish a ‘rule of fear’ under the pretense of the HYDRA and Musi Riverfront projects, is targeting the homes of poor and middle-class families who have lived in these areas for decades, with all legal documentation in place. This "bulldozer policy" has become the face of the Telangana Congress government’s cruelty. The rule of law—one of the foremost political ideals that establishes the supremacy of law in modern society—is being disregarded by your party’s Chief minister. Originally, bulldozers were invented over 100 years ago to build homes, offices, roads, and other infrastructure. However, much like the BJP has misused bulldozers against the poor and middle class in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Assam, and Maharashtra, the Congress appears to be following their lead in Telangana. Without conducting adequate surveys before demolition, and in spite of a recent Supreme Court verdict, the Congress government in Telangana is adopting bulldozer tactics without following proper procedural guidelines. In light of these circumstances, I humbly urge you to advise your party’s Chief minister to uphold the rule of law and follow the principles of natural justice enshrined in the Constitution of India. FG Flags Off Benin–Asaba Expressway: A Landmark in Private-Financed Infrastructure Development The Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with Africa Plus Partners, has officially flagged off the 125km Benin–Asaba Expressway Project in Edo State—an ambitious, dual-carriage, solar-lit superhighway that is fully financed by the private sector under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi described the project as a cashless model. Norton Member of Parliament Richard Tsvangirai Richard Tsvangirayi has been accused of lying after denying any knowledge of receiving a piece of land from the government in exchange for votes to protect Emmerson Mnangagwa from impeachment and to help him extend his term of office to 2030. Despite his denial, a leaked audio has emerged in which Southerton Member of Parliament Bridget Nyandoro challenges Tsvangirayi to come clean. She accuses him of lying, stating that she has a recording of him engaging with her yesterday morning. Earlier today, Nyandoro accused the opposition of being a cesspool of corruption. Writing on her Facebook page, she claimed that MPs who received US$40,000 bribes in the last Parliament shared the money with their former leader, Nelson Chamisa. She also alleged that some paid to be allowed to contest in the 2023 elections, whose selection was done through the discredited Bereka Mwana method.
