One cool idea I had to make that more useful and made now: Let people make a 3d model then change the view of the it with the 3d viewer, then press [ o ] and it grabs a frame of the 3d That image you can then [ Remix ] (img2img), and it becomes a real photo again and that in turn you can then turn into a video again with [ Make video ] So that essentially gives you a fully freeform camera position control to take photos with One thing I need to fix is the background/skybox, I kinda need to take the original photo and remove the person and just get the background for the 3d model viewer, in this case it should be white, but it's a start!

Magic123: One Image to High-Quality 3D Object Generation Using Both 2D and 3D Diffusion Priors paper page: present Magic123, a two-stage coarse-to-fine approach for high-quality, textured 3D meshes generation from a single unposed image in the wild using both2D and 3D priors. This approach encapsulates surface geometry, appearance, and patch structures within a 64x64 pixel image, effectively converting complex 3D shapes into a more manageable 2D format. Until yesterday, every single one was built on standard drone photogrammetry. The technology captures photos from the air and reconstructs 3D geometry from them. Gaussian Splatting does not reconstruct geometry. It represents the scene as millions of tiny 3D ellipsoids, each one carrying its own color and opacity information based on how light actually behaves in that location. The output is not a mesh model. It is a field of light. When you move through it, it does not crumble at the edges. The detail holds because it was never geometry to begin with. Apple has been hiring for this for years. Their SHARP model, published in research last year, generates photorealistic 3D scenes from a single image in under a second. Google has more sensor data than anyone. More Street View cars, more satellites, more capture history. On navigation accuracy and geodata depth, Google Maps is still ahead by most measures. But fidelity in 3D city rendering is a different competition, and Apple just set a bar in that. Most people will experience this in the fall without knowing the name of the technology. They will open Flyover, look at a city they know, and notice it looks different. Real, not rendered. Claude Fable 5 has impressive spatial reasoning capabilities that are immediately relevant for engineering and design: In this example I gave Claude Fable 5 a single photo of a hierarchical mesh torus (image generated using a text-to-image model); and in one shot, no iteration, it built a full interactive 3D simulation: ~1,400 nodes & 4,400 fibers, realistic mass–spring physics you can grab, compress, twist… plus strain-based sonification so you can 'hear' the structure vibrate. It inferred the complete 3D topology from a partial 2D view. ⤵️

📢📢 𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐭𝟑𝐫 📢📢 Avat3r creates high-quality 3D head avatars from just a few input images in a single forward pass with a new dynamic 3DGS reconstruction model. Video: Project: Our core idea is to make Gaussian Reconstruction Models animatable. We find that a simple cross-attention to an expression code sequence is already sufficient to model complex facial expressions. We then incorporate position maps from DUSt3R and feature maps from Sapiens to facilitate the prediction task. While DUSt3R's position maps act as a pixel-aligned initialization for the Gaussians' positions, the Sapiens feature maps help the cross-view transformer to match corresponding image tokens in the 4 input images. One major challenge in creating a 3D head avatar from smartphone images comes from inconsistent facial expressions when the subject could not remain perfectly static during the capture. We eliminate this static requirement by simply showing our model input images with different facial expressions during training. This technique makes our model robust to inconsistent input images later on. Finally, we show that despite the model has been trained with 4 input images, one can even create a 3D head avatar when only a single image is available. To achieve this, we employ a pre-trained 3D GAN to lift the single image to 3D and then render the 4 input images for our model. This allows us to create 3D head avatars from single images and even highly out-of-distribution examples like AI generated faces, paintings or statues. Introducing: 🤐ZipMap (CVPR ’26): Linear-Time, Stateful 3D Reconstruction via Test-Time Training (TTT). ZipMap “zips” a large image collection into an implicit TTT scene state in a single linear-time operation. The state will then be decoded into spatial outputs, and can be queried efficiently for novel-view geometry and appearance (~100 FPS) ZipMap is not only much faster (>20× faster than VGGT), but also matches or surpasses the accuracy of all SOTA models.

Today, we will be showcasing an early preview of one of the initial models we are working on—a bullish/bearish prediction model designed to 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐬. This is just one of the initial models we are working on; as we progress, the models will become more complex and intricate. In this behind-the-scenes video, we demonstrate how the model predicts the future market trend of the BTC-USD pair with an 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝟔𝟓%. This is the barebones structure of the models we are training, which will soon be available to users with a single click through the Destra OCAI platform. The OCAI platform includes a wide array of Destra Exclusive AI models, specifically designed to simplify life for crypto audiences, that are envisioned and built from scratch at Destra Labs.

Not bad! 2K triangles and a bit of manual cleanup. This was a quick test creating a lowpoly 3D model. Tried Tripo for retopology and it did a good job. It does render some inverted normals though. For this lowpoly model it’s fine but inverted normals are a pain when working on highpoly models. I’m going to test some other options like the remesh tool in Blender sculpting. It’s crazy how this Trellis Texturing node works btw, It understands the geometry very well. Watch the end where I made the worst version of an Axe in Blender and it was able to wrap the texture on that model! I would probably spend a bit more time splitting the image up and generating the main parts separately. Also making any signs readable or just remove them.
