Give that man a raise !

When was this?

around 4 hours ago

Wow, thank you!!

Wow !!!! Well done ATC!!

See this on AA & DL every day - same flt # in and out. Works fine if it's the same acft. But, if inbound flight is late & another aircraft takes the outbound leg, you've got 2 planes, same c/s. AA 1061 DFW-JAX AA 1061 JAX-DFW DL 2923 ATL-JAX DL 2923 JAX-ATL

Rare occurrence for sure. Usually the call signs are de-conflicted and re-assigned. One would remain 2482 and the other would be something like 482P. There must have been additional delays that were unexpected.

Nice job controllers!

@GinieSigonney ??

Notice how the pilots immediately copied the controller when he added arrival and departure to their call signs is that something they train for or just good instincts all around?

@KhalifKairo hapa kwetu kukeendaje? Ama tudeal vile tumezoea na nganya na nduthi?

Can you explain how a mistake like this can be made? Is hacking or foul play involved? I could imagine this is like giving a vehicle the same Vin#

holy...

this is what happens when indians create and manage your tech

Un cas qui va plaire a @AstronoGeek

I’ve seen that….but normally you’d get a fail on the dept message and it wouldn’t start a track and you’d have to change the call sign if one to AAL2482A
