Dr. Andrew Huberman dropped a simple, science-backed protocol that’s melting fat faster than most people think possible: Eat only meat, fish, eggs, fruit, and vegetables. Nothing else. No bread, pasta, rice, tortillas, or processed foods. Drink water, coffee, or tea — skip alcohol and milk. Why it works so...

The low-fat carnivore trend falsely claims to mimic an ancestral diet. This is wrong. Ancestors ate high-fat megafauna (mammoths); hunters today still target fat-rich animals (whales, seals, polar bears). Even Arctic fish are fat-rich. Larger animals, especially Arctic species hunted in the Ice Ages, naturally carry a higher percentage of body fat. Significant inter-abdominal fat is also found in the omentum, mesentery, and around the kidneys. Healthy animals simply have more fat than starving ones. Due to decades of processed food propaganda, people now discard nutritious subcutaneous and abdominal fat, consuming only lean muscle. Discarding this fat is not an ancestral practice. Avoiding animal fat sacrifices vital nutrients—DHA, EPA, Vitamins D3, K2, A, E, choline, cholesterol, and saturated fat—essential for neurological function and child brain development. Weight stalls often stem from a "dirty carnivore" diet (dairy, artificial sweeteners). When issues arise, people wrongly blame high fat, forgetting high-fat carnivore initially drove their health and weight loss. Switching to low-fat risks malnutrition and protein poisoning, which can result in weight loss, but at the expense of health. As health suffers, people blame long-term ketosis on the poor health effects, even though this is against all the best long-term peer-reviewed evidence (See my YouTube video "Is ketosis harmful?"l for more). Remember that your hormones like testosterone and estrogen are made out of cholesterol, and avoiding fat will make all hormones suffer. Eating carbs raises insulin and insulin resistance, which suppresses testosterone in men and estrogen in women. Fat is an essential nutrient, and is good for you. Don't avoid fat just because it's trendy and you don't want to give up dairy or sweets. That is good for you, so eat the damn fat. #carnivore #carnivorediet

What is Maltodextrin? The carb nobody talks about... but it's more dangerous than sugar! Dr. Eric Berg exposes Maltodextrin – this sneaky white powder spikes blood sugar, packs on stubborn belly fat, fuels inflammation & wrecks your gut microbiome. It's the #1 hidden saboteur lurking in "healthy" snacks, protein powders, sports drinks & processed foods. Maltodextrin is a highly processed white powder made from GMO corn, rice, potato, tapioca or wheat. It’s technically a polysaccharide, but don’t let that science work fool you—it acts like a sugar in your body. It’s used to: ⚪️Add bulk & texture ⚪️Extend shelf life ⚪️Create that “melt in your mouth” feel. ⚪️Spike your blood sugar like a rocket to the moon. ⚠️Why it's Fattening 1️⃣Blood Sugar Spike = Fat Storage Maltodextrin has a glycemic index of 136 — higher than table sugar glycemic index of 65. This creates a huge insulin spike, which tells your body: ‼️Quick!! Store everything as fat! Especially around the belly! 2️⃣It hides in “Healthy” Foods You’ll find it in: ⚪️Protein powders ⚪️Sports drinks ⚪️Sugar free or low-fat snacks ⚪️Instant oatmeal, soups, dressings & supplements. It’s often added to make processed foods taste better or feel “creamy” while quietly sabotaging your metabolism. 🚫Maltodextrin is the wolf in carbs clothing—a cheap filler with a sweet tooth for destruction. It promotes fat storage, destabilizes blood sugar, feeds inflammation & disrupts your gut ecosystem. If you’re trying to heal, reduce inflammation, lose weight, or stay off blood sugar rollercoaster — ditch it. Look for it on ingredient lists (even supplements) and run the other way.

Goat milk could heal the world. Look around at society right now…. Digestive problems and inflammation are everywhere. Autoimmune issues are on the rise. People are exhausted, nutrient deficient, constantly bloated, dealing with gut issues, mucus buildup, and feeling disconnected from real nourishment. And somehow this has all become “normal.” But what if part of the problem is that we moved so far away from the foods humans traditionally thrived on? Modern diets are filled with ultra-processed foods, artificial ingredients, seed oils, synthetic vitamins, gums, preservatives, and heavily processed dairy products that many people struggle to tolerate. Then people are told their body is the problem, but maybe the food is the REAL problem… Goat milk is one of the most nourishing traditional foods there is. Unlike conventional cow milk, goat milk naturally contains smaller fat molecules and a different protein structure, which is why many people find it much easier to digest and less inflammatory. Instead of sitting heavy in the stomach, many people describe goat milk as feeling lighter and easier on the body. It’s naturally rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, selenium, phosphorus, vitamin A, healthy fats, and bioavailable nutrients that support the body on a deep level. People have relied on goat milk for generations to help nourish growing children, support digestion, maintain strength, and provide nutrient-dense food during hard times. Goats can thrive where other livestock struggle, turning rough land and brush into incredibly rich milk. And honestly, I think a lot of people would feel dramatically different if they replaced processed foods and artificial drinks with real traditional nourishment like fresh goat milk. Better digestion, stable energy, and less inflammation. Real nourishment instead of empty calories. Funny how society labels ancestral foods as “alternative” while chronic illness becomes the norm. No thank you! Raw goat milk for the win!

Ultra Processed Foods Are Bad For You! But probably not for the reasons you think. There is little evidence to suggest that anything in the processing itself inherently makes the food toxic or unhealthy other than the fact that Ultra Processed Foods (UPFs) are incredibly tasty & have very little impact on satiety. In a classic study by Kevin Hall at the NIH, people were switched from an unprocessed diet to a diet of UPF & they spontaneously increased their caloric intake by over 500 calories PER DAY (PMID: 31105044). That is a massive increase in caloric consumption & we do know overconsuming too many calories leads to energy toxicity.. i.e obesity. Obesity increases the risk of mortality, heart disease, & many cancers by approx 20-200% depending upon the severity of obesity (PMIDs: 29490333, 37405977, & 29696630) That said, if you eat some UPFs as part of an overall healthy diet & you don’t gain too much body fat because you control your overall intake, there’s very little data to suggest they independently contribute to disease risk. That said, these foods are designed to get you to overeat. They are VERY hard to consume in moderation. I’m just cautious about telling people to completely abstain as for some people this has the opposite effect. They try to abstain from processed foods, but eventually they have a little & that leads to a spiral where they are binging & consuming copious amounts at one sitting As such, nutritional strategies need to be customized to the individual. For some people, a win may be turning down a doughnut. For others, it may be saying yes but just having ONE doughnut. There is no one right way to do things, it is based off of whatever allows the individual to be consistent with their nutrition & not get to an unhealthy body fat level From Andrew D. $1.29. That was my entire meal last night. And it might be my cheapest one yet. I took hard boiled eggs, sliced them in half, dipped them in a beaten egg, and pressed them face down into finely shredded aged cheddar. Then I fried them in butter. What happened next was magic. The egg warmed through, and the cheese formed this incredible crispy golden crust on top like a little cheese chip sitting right on your egg. I ate that with kielbasa and I was completely satisfied. Two eggs, a quarter of a kielbasa, cheese and butter. That’s it. Now let me say something about both of these foods because I know someone is going to come for me. Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. Yes, even Walmart eggs. Yes, even if they’re not pasture raised or fancy or organic. They are still packed with protein, healthy fat, and nutrients your body needs. Do not let food snobbery keep you from eating eggs. And kielbasa. Yes, it’s processed. I know. But it also provides real nutrition, it’s filling, it’s delicious, and if it’s what fits your budget, then it absolutely has a place on your plate. I am never going to tell someone they can’t eat hot dogs, kielbasa, spam, or lunch meat because it’s processed. Eat what you can afford and keep going. That’s what this is about. Carnivore does not have to be expensive. This meal proves it. If you want to see exactly how I made these eggs, drop a comment below and I’ll make a video. Because this one is worth it. 🤤👑

Diet soda makes you fat because it has chemicals that your body doesn’t know how to ‘process’? 🤣 Actually diet soda sweetened with say aspartame is processed into aspartate and phenylalanine (2 amino acids found in every source of protein & in way higher amounts) and methanol 😱. Before yall get your panties in a twist, the amount of methanol produced by diet sodas relative to what would cause issues would mean you’d need to drink approx 20,000 12 oz cans of Diet Coke to cause problems. And no, methanol does not accumulate in the body & it is metabolized by the liver & excreted by the kidneys. You’d die of fluid toxicity before you’d ever even come close to the level of methanol needed to cause any issues from drinking diet soda 🤷🏼‍♂️ So yea, our body knows what to do with it. But her claim doesn’t even make sense. If the body didn’t know what to do with it, how would it get stored as fat? And WHAT would get stored as fat? Which ‘chemicals’ and HOW EXACTLY THROUGH WHAT MECHANISM? 🤣 Maybe she’d say they cause insulin release which makes you fat… only one problem with that… they conclusively DO NOT increase insulin (PMID: 36839408) And diet drinks do NOT make you fat. In fact, in the HUMAN. RANDOMIZED. CONTROLLED. TRIALS where they have people drink diet drinks in place of regular sugar sweetened beverages, people lose weight, & in several studies they actually lose more weight than people who substituted water 🤷🏼‍♂️ (PMIDs: 37794246, 37475684, 26708700, & 35285920) I’m not saying you should drink diet soda in place of water. What I’m saying is for many people, diet drinks help them stop drinking regular soda, which in turn helps them lose weight, & get healthier If we fear monger this useful tool, it confuses people & the unintended consequence is many people takeaway not that they will drink more water, but they should not drink diet soda so they might as well continue drinking regular soda since diet soda is portrayed as just as bad by these influencers Also no one tell this gal water has dihydrogen monoxide 🤣. I don’t know her name… y’all tag her 🤷🏼‍♂️ DATA>feelings

Your body runs a nightly deuterium depletion cycle during sleep. Most people are switching it off without knowing it. During sleep, your body shifts toward fat oxidation, activates peroxisomes, and produces deuterium-depleted metabolic water. Sleep is the one time your body is forced to fast. Dr. Laszlo Boros — Hungarian medical biochemist, retired professor at UCLA School of Medicine, author of 100+ peer-reviewed papers, and one of the world's leading deuterium researchers — puts it simply on the Sleep Is A Skill podcast: "When you sleep, you can do this simply because you don't walk through the freezer — unless you do sleepwalking. What you do is leave your body in a fasting state, where you don't eat for 6 or 8 hours, and you get into a metabolic state called burning fat or metabolic ketosis. After 2 or 3 hours, glucose and carbohydrates are limited — and then you have to burn fat to produce energy and heat during sleep." That's when the real work begins. REM activity and muscle movement burn through glucose and glycogen reserves. Once glucose availability falls, metabolism shifts toward fat oxidation. Breathing slows to 6-8 inhalations per minute — roughly half the daytime rate. Hemoglobin-delivered oxygen falls. The body increasingly relies on dissolved oxygen circulating in the blood — a small but sufficient supply that doesn't require active breathing to access. But something prepares the body for this transition before sleep even begins. Yawning. According to Boros, yawning is a biological preparation mechanism. A yawn is a held inhalation — it pressurizes the chest cavity, squeezing more dissolved oxygen into the blood like pressurizing a soda bottle. This dissolved oxygen is what peroxisomes need to burn fat. But peroxisomes only activate once glucose is gone. Yawning prepares the oxygen supply. Fat must be the available fuel. Boros: "Sleep starts with yawning." Peroxisomes are small organelles that can only burn fat. They cannot utilize carbohydrates. They cannot utilize amino acids. They use dissolved O₂ directly. They produce hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) from fat. This hydrogen peroxide is inherently low in deuterium because it comes from fat. Catalase — the fastest enzymatic reaction in biological systems — then converts that hydrogen peroxide into metabolic water while recycling oxygen in the process. The result is fresh deuterium-depleted metabolic water. Boros calls sleep a metabolic miracle. Every night your body activates pathways that burn fat, deplete deuterium, and preserve the integrity of the mitochondrial nanomotors — all without requiring food intake. But here is the twist: If you eat too close to bed — or wake up and eat during the night — glucose remains available for longer. The transition into fat oxidation is delayed. The peroxisomal cycle starts later. Every hour of delayed ketosis is an hour of missed nocturnal deuterium depletion. This is not theoretical. Boros works with military personnel and emergency crews in Europe and the United States on exactly this problem. Emergency workers return from a call, eat under stress, then try to sleep. Glucose reloads. The peroxisomal cycle never fully activates. Deuterium accumulates. Sleep quality degrades. This is one of the reasons emergency workers retire early. Their disrupted sleep and stress-eating patterns create chronic metabolic confusion — the body never gets the nightly deuterium cleanup it evolved to run. The opposite is also true. According to Boros, people following ketogenic diets often report needing one to two fewer hours of sleep while waking up more rested. Boros explains why: Less deuterium accumulates during the day. The nocturnal depletion cycle runs more efficiently during the night. The metabolic cleanup process finishes faster. The required sleep duration is shorter. This is one reason I stop eating at least 3 hours before bed. And it is one reason I treat sleep consistency as a non-negotiable. I am in bed before 10pm. Usually closer to 9:30pm. When I yawn 3 times in a row, I know it’s time.

People Don’t Like Personal Responsibility Ever notice that people love to come up with ‘bad guys’ in nutrition? “It wasn’t your fault! It’s the government’s fault!” “It wasn’t your fault! It’s the evil food industry!” “It wasn’t your fault! It was the carbs!” “It wasn’t your fault! Meat is toxic!” “It wasn’t your fault! Plants are toxic!” And so on and so forth. Ever wonder why these nutrition tribes do this? Because it’s way easier to sell you that any negative consequences are not your doing and you had no control over them. That’s way more palatable than the idea that if you gained body fat it’s because you ate more than you expended. That just seems so harsh… but the reality is often harsh. But it’s better to face a harsh truth than pretend it doesn’t exist (shoutout to Tyrion Lannister for that line) The reality is there are multiple truths here. Yes the food industry created hyper palatable foods. Yes they lobby with the government. But at the end of the day, does anyone really think that ultra processed foods are good for you or healthy? Most of us know this, but we love the idea of pushing away personal responsibility. But the fact is, if you can’t take personal responsibility, then you won’t have any power over your actions & you can’t change. But if you have ownership over your decisions, you CAN change & do things differently. It’s much more empowering If you are looking to take back control of your life, getting expert help can be a huge game changer. Head to to find out more.

Losing weight is ridiculously easy in 2025. But if your insulin is high, your body can't burn fat. Ever worse? High insulin wrecks testosterone and quietly drives your blood pressure through the roof. Here are 6 ways to lower it naturally👇 1. Lower your carbohydrate intake Carbs break down into glucose the fastest, forcing your pancreas to pump out insulin to control the spike. When you reduce daily carb load, your blood sugar stays stable. Stable blood sugar = less insulin released = easier fat-burning mode 2. Walk after every meal (even inside the house) A 5-minute walk acts like a glucose sponge. Your muscles pull sugar out of your bloodstream for energy, which lowers the insulin needed to process that meal. Even slow indoor walking reduces post-meal glucose by up to 30% in some studies. 3. Eat protein & fat before carbs Protein and fat slow stomach emptying. When carbs hit your bloodstream more slowly, insulin rises gently instead of spiking. This “food order” trick can reduce the insulin response by 20–40% with the same exact meal. Crazy, right? 4. Fasting. When you’re not eating, your insulin drops. And the longer insulin stays low... The more your body shifts into burning stored fat for energy. Want to supercharge your fasting and knock down blood sugar faster? Berberine might help. It doesn’t simply lower blood sugar and insulin the “natural way”. It activates the enzyme AMP‑activated protein kinase (AMPK) — a fat-burn accelerator. Find it here (Black Friday Amazon Deals) 👇 I also created a FULL-GUIDE on how to use Berberine properly (even if you have never taken it before). Comment "Send" and I'll send it over. (must Follow so I can DM) 4. Strength training. Your muscles act like insulin sponges. The more muscle you have, the more glucose you can store without needing high insulin. Even a single strength workout can increase insulin sensitivity for up to 24–48 hours. 5. Get 7–8 hours of sleep. Poor sleep raises cortisol, and cortisol tells your body to pump out more glucose. More glucose = more insulin. Good sleep resets your hormones overnight and improves insulin sensitivity the next day by 20–30%. 6. Get enough sunlight. Sunlight triggers nitric oxide release in the skin, which helps improve glucose uptake. - Lowers cortisol - Reduces cravings - Stabilizing blood sugar - Sets your circadian rhythm More sunlight = lower insulin throughout the day. My DMs are always open for ANY questions you might have. Thanks for reading until the end, see you in the next one. *Every body works differently, this is not medical advice, just what worked on me." *Always consult a health expert before following any protocols." *Affiliate links included.*

Everyone thinks losing weight is just about eating less. But most people: - Starve themselves - Kill their metabolism... And don´t even lose weight anyway. So here are 10 metabolism cheat codes to melt stubborn fat (without eating less): 🧵 1. Do NOT go Vegan. The vegan diet completely lacks 12 different nutrients that only exist in animal-based foods. These nutrients are vital for your metabolism and hormones. Steak and eggs are two of the best foods in the world for metabolism, weight loss and health. 2. Resistance train Muscle is the #1 fat-burning organ. It burns calories 24/7, even while you sleep. - Go close to failure - Train 3 hours a week - Focus on compound exercises 3. Eat more protein. You burn off 20-30% of the calories you get from protein just by digesting it. It also lowers hunger and helps maintain and build muscle to burn even more calories too. Eat 1g per lb of bodyweight everyday. 4. Don´t cut out carbs too much. Low-carb = lower thyroid and testosterone. You´ll also feel more sluggish which reduces your calorie-burn from NEAT. Eat as much fruit as you want and potatoes instead of bread and pasta. 5. Improve your sleep. Poor sleep crushes your metabolism. Think about how more physically tired you feel after a night of bad sleep. Don´t eat late in the evening, keep your bedroom cooler and supplement magnesium glycinate. 6. Cold exposure. It´s not a fad - it´s scientifically proven. It boosts your metabolism and activates brown fat oxidation. All you need to get the benefits is 2-minute cold showers 7. Manage stress. High cortisol slows your metabolism and makes your body want to hold onto fat. The best way to reduce stress? Improve your physical health. Healthy diet. Exercise. Better sleep. 8. Fuel your thyroid. It´s the organ that literally runs your metabolism but nobody thinks about it. Even worse? Very low-calorie diets actually slow it down making it even harder to lose fat. Make sure you: - Get enough iodine & selenium - Improve your sleep & manage stress. 9. Eat as much fruit as you want. Certain influencers will claim that fruit is bad due to the sugar... As if people are overweight due to eating a lot of fruit... But nobody got fat from fruit. It was from a ton of calories from processed junk and a lack of exercise. Fruit is still low in calories as it´s mostly water and the sugar and vitamins help keep you healthy and your metabolism firing. The best fruits for metabolism and weight loss are berries and watermelon. The Bottom Line: The best way to lose weight is NOT eating way less. It´s boosting your metabolism so you can eat enough and still lose weight. Imagine how easy it would be to lose weight if you could eat a lot and not be too hungry? If you liked this post: 1. A lot of people think that if you’re carnivore, you must be anti-plants. I’m not anti-plants. There are millions of people in the world who eat plants and do great on them. Some plants are absolutely fine for some bodies. Right now they’re not fine for mine. That’s why I use carnivore as an elimination protocol. When I started, I had inflammation, digestive issues, likely SIBO, leaky gut, and a system that felt chaotic. I didn’t know what foods were helping and what foods were hurting me. When you’re eating a bunch of different plant foods every week, it’s almost impossible to figure out what’s causing the problem. Carnivore removes the noise. Beef, butter, bacon, eggs, salt, water. That’s it. Once the noise is gone, your body finally has a chance to tell the truth. Over the last 13 months I’ve tested a few plants one at a time like zucchini, cucumber, raspberries, strawberries, and pickles. I paid attention to how I felt after each one. That’s how you collect useful data. Not guesses. Data. A lot of people try keto and don’t feel much different, so they assume eating more meat and cutting carbs “didn’t work.” But many times they’re still eating the same plants that were triggering inflammation in the first place. Not always. But often enough that it matters. If your system is reacting to something you’re eating, keto can lower carbs without actually removing the trigger. Carnivore does. This isn’t for everyone. But if your joints hurt, your digestion is unpredictable, your sleep is off, or your inflammation feels constant, a 90-day carnivore elimination phase can give you answers fast. Remove the variables. Watch what changes. Then add foods back one at a time and see what your body actually tolerates. That’s not restriction. That’s investigation.
