Tesla took lidar away after finding it caused data conflicts but people still try saying that real autonomous driving requires it. Incorrect.

We also have touch and hearing which we use combined with seeing. If humans had radar and lidar and infrared vision we'd use it and not get confused. Just like when you hear the ambulance you pull over to give it space even if you can't see it (yet). Why more than 2 cameras?

I always love people who tell me that Tesla self driving won’t work because they don’t use Lidar. Haha.
