This was my first big UI menu in UEFN after the new tools dropped and a proper stress test for Verse Fields, View Bindings, and the updated UMG workflow. • 100+ Verse Fields • 175+ View Bindings • 40+ Animations Built the whole menu with reusability + optimization in mind (just 3 textures + a small set of materials). Multiple UX passes later and I’m really happy with how it turned out 🔥 Huge props to Noah who handled the entire Verse side, couldn’t have done it without him. And of course Heavyblue 🐐 Learned a ton of UMG lessons the hard way, might drop a thread with those soon. If you have any questions, ask them below 👇

Gave UEFN its own blueprint graph. Python tool running inside the editor. Scans your level and parses your Verse code to draw a full visual map of your game logic. What it shows you: - Every device in your level as a node - Every @ editable reference between devices - Every event subscription and function call - Which Verse functions are actually being used vs sitting there doing nothing What it catches: - Broken connections where an @ editable points to nothing - Orphan devices with zero connections - Unassigned editables you forgot to wire up What you can do with it: - Click a node, and it selects the device in your viewport - Double-click to fly straight to it - Open the Verse file in VS Code with one button - Search and filter by device type - Zoom in and out - Add notes to any device - Export the whole graph as a doc

We’ve just rolled out four powerful new features in Pewbeam: - Hands-free voice control, so speakers can switch Bible translations and move to the next verse without the operator clicking. (You can turn this off in Settings.) - Automatic HDMI display scaling, so the external display now adjusts itself to match your screen size. - Verse merging, letting you show multiple verses together on one slide. - Verse splitting, so when a verse is longer than the screen, it automatically continues on a new slide. - Plus, overall performance and speed are now better. If you already use the app, you’ll receive an update notification, or you can go to Help → Check for updates.

Finally new version of text system is released on our website ! I released as update to old version but in reality it's completely new thing in material and lot's of work in verse. I'm still working on documentation or/and videos but here is a list of good stuff it does: - Material got much lighter as slots logic moved to vertex shader. - Characters can overlap and still won't be cut out compared to old version. - Character can be animated and I already implemented some (wave, scale up/down and shake). - Custom face camera logic which works with prop scale so no need to additionally specify with and height. - Rows offset automatically when scale up or down any row. - Text effects now can be applied to any character, so words or single character. - Custom glint which works perfectly with any number of rows as a single line with multiple important controls. - Higher quality outline with two parameters to control inner and outer edge. - Timer logic split into to parts, verse and material. Verse setup initial layout and reserve slots for timer digits and then each second just sends seconds value and GPU makes timer tick freeing verse TPS by huge number. - To apply effects simply need use parsing markup with custom tag where N number between 1-9. So simply can write " Hello World" and word Hello will have rainbow effect applied. Currently implemented 4 effects. - To use icons in slots from texture array is as simple as specify another tag [iconN] where N is number of icon in array. So for example if coin is icon index 0 just need to write [icon1]100K. - Progress bar is supported as well and can be snapped to row without eyeball offset. - Background image supported now too! In the video yellow one is as test and you can use any of your own. Verse side got lots of changes: - Now saves/caches layouts better. - Smart packing of data allowed drastically reduce number of parameters, which should help with network optimization! - Instead having vector parameter per each slot to just send character index and position (32x5=160 if used 5 rows) now it's only 11 vector parameters per each row so 11x5=55 which is huge save and it sends text effects index in it too! - Implemented text update queue for text which doesn't require instant update. It helps to give more breathing for other text props which needs that speed. - Materials code now use interface and wrappers for cleaner work. Here is how you turn a #GaussianSplatting into a walkable world with 2 clicks. First of all, do yourself a favour and try out PostShot. The splat you see was created from a 3-minute video taken with my phone. It ran for around 12 hours on a laptop with a 3060, and the output was beyond my expectations! That being said, whatever tool or app you use to create your Splat, you can import it directly into arrival.space from there you can: - Clean it up and compress it thanks to the direct integration with Supersplat Editor - Generate a rough mesh (that you can export with a paid plan and adjust in Blender ) - Explore it freely on the #web or in #VR Make sure to drop your Space in the comments. Now, you can add that final layer of polish right inside Stitch. You can manually edit text and images, or highlight a specific part of the screen and ask the agent to surgically update it. 3 ways to jump in: 1️⃣ Select a screen and hit the Edit dropdown. 2️⃣ Grab the Edit Tool from the global toolbar. 3️⃣ Select Tool: Double-click a screen to center it, then double-click again to enter Direct Edit mode. Go perfect those vibes. ✨

Game #1: Flappy Llama This is my first time experimenting with Scene Graph, and I absolutely love it. I can just drop down as many Flappy Llama machines as I want, and each one works as its own fully independent arcade game. Fortnite Developers #UEFN #Verse Tim Sweeney - 100% Verse UI built with Material Blocks and parameter control - Local sound effects play directly from each machine (idle SFX or gameplay triggers) - Dynamically updating leaderboard - Machine animates on player input so others see it in use (including the screen showing it’s occupied) I’m not great with materials, so huge shoutout to Blanky | R-leeo Maoate for setting me up with a simple material that had the parameters I needed to make the game work (and for helping me figure out how to decorate my fun little machine). Game #2 will be shown soon, it just needs a few final touch-ups, but I love it just as much. (here's your hint 💣🧹)

Algorand has never had any downtime so it's reliable and is one of the rare blockchains with instant finality. Over 10 million Python developers are now able to use what they've learn't through writing in the Python coding language and apply it to a blockchain for the first time. It's going to be interesting to see what people start building, we're building a low poly virtual world 🌐 Developers no longer have to learn complicated and relatively unknown languages like #Solidity or #PyTeal to be able to build #Decentralised applications. How to build a brand from scratch using Paper, Codex + GPT image model 2 Since two weeks back, I´ve done most of my design work in paper And I´m genuinely impressed by what you can do with their MCP Combined with claude & codex you can pretty much build out a brand in an hour or two 1. Brainstorm a name for you product or service 2. find a good design system you can iterate on or come up with one from scratch 3. create a moodboard of things you like and want the brand to be about (images, colors, shapes, elements, you name it) inside paper 4. select the moodboard and prompt codex to create a brand brief (hooked up to paper mcp) to create the inital brand book in code 5. Use the new brand book you created and copy as PNG, take that image into ChatGPT and use GPT model 2 (with the brand prompt) to create the brand book 6. You will get a finished and well-done 10 paged brand book Now you can use that to create anything in line with the brand: Landing pags, lead magnets, ads, anything you can think of Comment "bookmarkable" + RT and I´ll send you the brand prompt and step by step guide in DMs.

Bro… I just built a tool entirely with Grok Build for studying $TSLA’s biggest daily moves. I simply enter any percentage threshold (like +10% or -5%), and my app instantly finds every single day Tesla’s stock moved that much or more since its IPO in 2010. It highlights the specific days on the chart with yellow stars, shows you the exact date, the % change, and the closing price. I can even click a “Why?” button on any day to pull up the news from that specific date. Everything can be exported as a CSV too. Grok Build is really a game changer… LMK if anyone wants access to it.

This Python script helps you better understand how embeddings work for SEO. Input a sentence + a query and BERT will calculate a content "Similarity Score": Search engines use embedding models to translate your content into numeric values. This is how they're able to mathematically determine whether a page on your site is actually relevant to a query someone is searching for. Once both the content and query are run through embeddings - they can calculate the "cosine similarity" or how similar the two entities are to each one. With this Python script, you can actually visualize how cosine similarity works for yourself. To you use you'll simply: 1. Save the Python script to a text file 2. Use your Terminal to run the script 3. You'll be prompted for both a "Sentence" and "Query" 4. Once entered, the script will calculate a "Similarity Score" between the text and query. This is how relevant your sentence is for the target keyword. By running this, you'll see that search engines are able to come with an calculation of content relevance. You'll need to think about the content on your site the same way - which sections have high scores and which ones have low ones? I've linked the Python script in the comments below. No coding knowledge is required and it walks you step by step on how to implement it.

Once both the content and query are run through embeddings - they can calculate the "cosine similarity" or how similar the two entities are to each one. With this Python script, you can actually visualize how cosine similarity works for yourself. To you use you'll simply: 1. Save the Python script to a text file 2. Use your Terminal to run the script 3. You'll be prompted for both a "Sentence" and "Query" 4. Once entered, the script will calculate a "Similarity Score" between the text and query. This is how relevant your sentence is for the target keyword. By running this, you'll see that search engines are able to come with an calculation of content relevance. You'll need to think about the content on your site the same way - which sections have high scores and which ones have low ones? I've linked the Python script in the comments below. No coding knowledge is required and it walks you step by step on how to implement it.

Thoughts on transferable skills. I was surprised reading the comments to Riley’s question about best UI animation tool for web. To anyone interested in diving into motion design I would strongly recommend - aim to become a motion expert, not Jitter/Rive/Lottie specialist. If you start from the foundations, jumping into any animation tool will feel like a walk in the park. Keyframes, easing functions, transformations - same concepts are shared between all of them. Getting to know the foundations on the web means starting with CSS, Tailwind or React Motion. I’m often creating small motion concepts in Figma (see video) and then recreating them manually in code. Any language, it doesn’t matter because principles are the same. I recently made the switch to Swift and built a small animation tool for myself (see video) that I’ll discard after I’m done with the motion. This level of comfortableness with motion gives you unmatched flexibility. From that point, tools are just interfaces for expressing something you already deeply understand. This is not about performance or technical optimizations (Lottie files can outperform CSS equivalents), tools mentioned above really are great - it’s about developing transferable creative skill that lets you think across any medium, platform or tool.
