We are asking Calgarians to check their properties for signs of Parker. Every search matters & even places you've already looked should be checked a second time. If you have a vehicle, truck, trailer or RV that hasn't been used recently, please open it & look inside. Thoroughly search garages, sheds, play structures, storage areas, utility rooms, cupboards, basements, under decks & other enclosed spaces where a child may seek shelter from the heat. Look carefully in narrow spaces between fences & hedges, behind lawn equipment & in any small area where a child could go unnoticed. The body of a child has been located during today’s search for Parker. If the body is Parker’s, it is believed he entered a culvert in a green space on the west side of Deerfoot Trail and travelled up a pipe and into a network of tunnels on the east side of the roadway. 📍 On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, we received a tip from a member of the public who had located a shoe, believed to have belonged to Parker. Search teams recovered the other shoe at the edge of a culvert. It is believed the shoes had been washed down the pipe some time after the initial search. As a result, the pipe system was searched by specialized teams from the Calgary Fire Department and a child’s body was located. This green space area contains incredibly harsh terrain and is part of a water environment. As with any search involving water, environmental conditions can influence what can be observed and when evidence may become visible. During the past two weeks, we had conducted searches of the area for Parker, however, there was no evidence located that would suggest a more thorough search of the area was required. This is not the outcome anyone hoped for. Like so many others, we hoped Parker would be brought home safely. Our thoughts are with Parker's family, loved ones and all those affected by this devastating loss. We know people across the world have spent the past 13 days sharing Parker's information, searching for him and holding onto hope for his safe return. We extend our sincere gratitude to the thousands of community members, volunteers, partner agencies and members of the media who assisted in the search effort. The compassion, dedication and support shown throughout this investigation have been extraordinary. ℹ️ At this time, there is no evidence that criminality was involved in Parker's disappearance. 🔵 CHARGES LAID 🔵 Our Organized Crime & Offender Management (OCOM) Section continues to make significant progress in investigating a series of extortions targeting the South Asian community. 2 more men are now facing charges. 📍 On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, a business located in the northeast community of Saddle Ridge received demands for money from an unknown person, who claimed the business owner & their friends & family members would be shot if the victim did not comply. The victim contacted police, & members of our OCOM Section immediately began investigating. 📍 On Thursday, May 28, 2026, investigators took four men into custody while officers also executed a search warrant on a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Saddlestone Way N.E. Two of the men have now been charged. 📌 Sandeep SINGH, 30 & Amandeep MALLHI, 39, both of Calgary, are charged with 1 count each of extortion & possession of proceeds of crime. They will next appear in court today, Monday, June 1, 2026. Since this series began in April 2025, there have been 46 extortion-related incidents in Calgary. 19 involved shootings at homes, businesses or vehicles. To date, 14 individuals have been charged with 54 criminal offences in relation to the Calgary series. The CPS continues to work closely with the Canada Border Services Agency & other law enforcement partners to address these incidents. 📣 Anyone with information is asked to contact police. We’d like to thank the community for their support and trust, which has been critical to advance these investigations & prevent further victimization.
