Yesterday, I passed by a subway entrance in Guangzhou and experienced a retail kiosk operated by a humanoid robot again, buying a bottle of water. The process was the same: select items on a screen, scan a QR code for mobile payment, and the humanoid robot retrieves the product. (However, it didn't interact with me at all.) I looked it up, and the wheeled humanoid robot is named S1, from AutoLife Robotics in Shenzhen. It uses omnidirectional wheels for movement and a lifting body. It's 1-1.6m tall, weighs 72kg, and has a 10-hour battery life. A single arm can carry 3-5kg. Furthermore, this humanoid robot is suitable for lightweight tasks in retail, convenience stores, supermarkets, and warehouse sorting.

Their system, TITAN, is built for industrial environments: ✅ 40 kg dual-arm payload ✅ millimeter-level precision ✅ 8 hours runtime ✅ early pilots in energy, logistics, and manufacturing They call it Physical AI: The focus is on getting robots to do the kind of labor that still depends on people: repetitive, risky, and physical. IMO, what stands out isn’t the specs. It’s the claim of 11,000 robot orders❗️ If even a fraction of that turns into real deployments, it would make RoboForce one of the most widely scaled robot platforms in the world!!?? The open question is whether this shift from prototype to production is real or just the next phase of robotics storytelling. It looks very promising to me. It’s also interesting how their founder openly pushes back against the humanoid trend, arguing for wheels over legs in real industrial settings. It’s an unusual perspective in a time when humanoids get most of the attention. If they are right, the next humanoid robotics wave might look less like a human and more like an industrial version. Robots from Humanoid passed real factory test at Siemens! 😮‍💨 Humanoid from the UK just completed a successful proof of concept with Siemens, deploying their HMND 01 wheeled humanoid robot in a real working factory. The task was simple but important: pick totes from a storage stack, transport them to a conveyor, and place them at the pickup point for human operators. Repeat until the stack is empty. The robot achieved 60 tote moves per hour, handled two different tote sizes, ran autonomously for more than 30 minutes at a time, stayed operational for over eight hours, and maintained over 90% success rate on pick and place tasks. This matters because it's not a demo video. It's a real deployment in Siemens' Electronics Factory in Erlangen, handling actual production work, measured against real operational metrics. The test ran in two phases. First, Humanoid built a physical twin in-house to test and optimize the system. Then they deployed on-site at Siemens for two weeks, where the robot operated in the real production environment. We can see a wheeled humanoid robot in action! A versatile robot helping out airports! 🛩️ Meet a two-wheeled robot from Fraunhofer IML! 🦿 This balancing robot with gripping arms successfully completed its initial practical tests at the cargo terminal of Munich Airport a while ago. It transported goods, supported loading and unloading, and assisted with physically demanding logistics tasks. This robot can carry loads of up to 100 kg and reach speeds of around 60 km/h. That’s far beyond what most AMRs can handle, yet it still has arms and a form of mobility that lets it work in spaces designed for people. P.S. 🚨BREAKING: A new humanoid robot straight out of Europe! Kinisi has introduced their humanoid robot called KR1. This robot has a base with wheels instead of legs. This provides much greater stability and safety for human workers. It’s built for warehouse and factory tasks like picking, stacking, and moving goods. It supports payloads up to 15 kg, runs 8 hours per charge with hot-swappable batteries, and docks itself for recharging. The robot can lift heavy boxes from high shelves, handle fragile items without damage, and adapt its arm trajectories on the fly to avoid obstacles. In demos, it moved smoothly between shelves, placed items into totes, and transported them across the warehouse, all autonomously. Great retrofitting potential, because it doesn’t require major infrastructure changes to deploy. It learns from simple demonstrations, operates offline for reliability and privacy, and integrates quickly into existing workflows. CEO of Figure AI. Said it on camera this month. Here's what makes this insane. Two years ago Figure's robot put a Keurig cup in a coffee maker. That was the breakthrough moment. The whole team celebrated. A coffee cup. Today that same robot runs 67 consecutive hours in a BMW factory. Grabbing packages. Finding barcodes. Placing them. One operation every second. Just a neural network that learned by watching.
