I've had an SE/30 for a really long time and I've never seen a Linux kernel boot on it. This is Linux 7.2.8 Claude made it really easy and optimized a kernel for maximum performance using MAME as a build / test "machine" It eventually created a bootable SD card that I dropped into my SCSI2SD and was up running 2026 is peak computer

U-Boot menu now works on Flipper One Now you can choose different kernels and systemd targets before the Linux kernel boots. * It's our LCD/buttons driver plus a slightly modified vanilla U-Boot menu. Will try to upstream it to U-Boot. * This is a temporary solution for testing the selection of different OS profiles. In the final version of Flipper OS, we’ll most likely draw the boot menu using a small program compiled into initramfs, after the kernel has started. But as a temporary solution, it works perfect. * I’m still not happy with the cold boot time: from powering on the processor to having a working menu. Here’s the boot log with timestamps, captured from the processor console: * Our patched U-Boot:

Allow me to introduce my RISC-V #KianV machine, which boots #Linux on the FPGA with SDRAM. It's a simple design, but powerful. Starting with my vacation. How awesome... Linux and RISC-V forever... #Verilog is my life. #riscv

Memory Corruption Vulnerability in Linux "Memory Safe" Rust Code Rust programmers re-wrote a portion of the Linux kernel in Rust. That Rust code had a crashing vulnerability in an "unsafe" chunk of code... which Linux is littered with.

Linux is the most widespread operating system, globally – but how is it built? Few people are better to answer this than Greg Kroah-Hartman (Greg K-H): Greg has been a Linux kernel maintainer for 25 years, and one of the 3 Linux Kernel Foundation Fellows (the other two are Linus Torvalds and Shuah Khan). Greg manages the Linux kernel’s stable releases, and is a maintainer of multiple kernel subsystems. We cover the inner workings of Linux kernel development, exploring everything from how changes get implemented to why its community-driven approach produces such reliable software. Greg shares insights about the kernel's unique trust model and makes a case for why engineers should contribute to open-source projects. Watch or listen: • YouTube: • Spotify: • Apple: Brought to you buy: • WorkOS — The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. • Vanta — Automate compliance and simplify security with Vanta. Check out all of our current sponsor and their offerings: ---- One of the most surprising things I learned about Linux: although 4,000 developers contribute to the project from 500 companies per year, and has around 800 kernel maintainers, the project is run with email, git... and that's about it! No dedicated project managers, no regular meetings across the group. It's a truly fascinating and unique model (and only applies to the Linux kernel project: not to Linux distributions.) We go into more detail about this topic with Greg in the podcast as well.

Nick reminds everyone that it's time to refine the movement, now that everyone knows about Israel after Gaza. "It was the right decision, and the right strategy at that time in 23, 24... To seek a common cause with Muslims and certain elements of the left."

I’m doing the right thing here today in Clacton, and I urge other political leaders to do the same. Everyone who is anyone knows that if we all stood against each other we are popular enough to dash others' chances, but continued own goals on the right will keep letting the leftists walk into power. It's time to unite the right.
