While this is a great example of JJ’s “catch high/keep high” it’s not quite accurate to say there is “no dip.” The dip actually happens horizontally, as well as some wrist rotation to generate power that isn’t there from a traditional vertical dip. Pinnacle of shooting skill 👌

This is simply a great move &the ref decided to make a bad call b/c it didn’t look conventional. Dribble ends w/ both feet off the floor. 1st foot down becomes pivot foot. He then legally lifts pivot off the floor and releases ball into a shot before it comes back down 🎥 amanm4n74/TT

Central Arkansas Freshman Layne Taylor has been one of the best freshmen in the country so far. Through 5 games he’s averaging 15 PPG 5 RPG 2 APG 35% 3FG( 9 attempts a game) Taylor has been one of the better shooters in college this season, showing skill off the catch and off the dribble. He’s also been a talented playmaker.

Fans calling this Giannis play a travel clearly don't understand the live dribble rule. You can take as many steps as you want while the ball is floating - just like MJ used to do with his stutter steps. The rules only limit steps AFTER you end the dribble, not during it.
