Huawei ADS vs Tesla FSD in a tricky scenario. Both can pass through successfully but the difference is….

Perception sensors deployed by both systems: ADS 3.0: 3 LiDARs, 3 radars, 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors FSD: 8 cameras

The Tesla Model 3/Y produced in the 2017-2024 timeframe all have just an air conditioning vent in the back. But it would be great to turn it into a smart screen that can watch movies, play games and other controls.

Huawei is v11 maximum, others might be v10/11. We FSD veteran know that V11 was pretty capable, but the comfortness and confidence compared to v13 night and day. Completely different technology stack are required to achieve this.

Exactly but people say LiDAR is the solution.

I tried Huwei ADS myself, didn’t post, it’s similar to other autonomous driving systems but not in the same class as Tesla. It is a real thing though, I can’t predict how fast they will progress

I wish I knew what they were saying. I cannot tell if FSD scared them or impressed them.

Just a few weeks ago, people were saying that Tesla FSD is way behind Huawei ADS in China.

I use FSD everyday and I’m still impressed with what it can do.
