"I built a $250,000 SaaS in 4 months with AI and barely knew how to code." I'm starting to think that a coding ide like cursor/windsurf can become the everything app for creators this custom mode wrote a linkedin post that reads better than tools charging $50+ a month it can do it's own research using web searches or using the brave mcp with a free api key it's not hard to imagine that I could also hook this up to an mcp to create posts on linkedin and have my publishing schedule managed from a json file inside cursor yes, linkedin is cringe, but this is just the beginning of what will be possible soon i'm not gonna say that mcp is "wild" or "this changes everything" but it's quite exciting to see how this is going to be used

“blank canvas problem” figma says raw and unformed feelings… this should not be shared. * Look, I love AI! I lead and design products for AI & Data Solutions in one of the largest firms in the world. I use these tools every day. I’m one of the biggest advocates of AI. I do NOT fear it. I leverage it. I appreciate what Figma is trying to do here. Good intentions to help designers build faster. Make the design easier and accessible for everyone. And of course, meanwhile, profit from It. it is a business after all and it is perfectly fine. While I was watching Dylan generate detailed designs from a prompt, I started seeing aspiring designers getting attached to these tools and having everything easy, ready, quick… and a series of questions started to arise in my mind; * ➟ Are we going to see a generation of designers who lack resilience and love/appreciation for craft? ➟ Designers who are easily hurt and seek help from AI tools every time a client raises a criticism for the proposed design? ➟ Are these designers going to blame AI tools for the outcome and not take accountability for it? ➟ Perhaps they will go back to the AI input and generate 20+ options for clients in 5 mins without thinking instead of talking to the client, understanding the product positioning and actually thinking/exploring/working for the best design solution? ➟ Are we going to see lazier designers? and weak, giving up, getting frustrated easily? * Dylan says ”This tool helps us to get past the blank canvas problem” Blank canvas is one of the best parts of this work. A new fresh start with endless possibilities. Prototyping can be fun in Figma and a nightmare when you are new to it. As a self-taught designer, I had to figure everything out the hard way. I thought I had seen it all when I was learning Adobe Photoshop back then in 2012. I discovered Figma four years ago and decided to explore the tool since I had been using Adobe XD and Sketch to create some mockups. When I discovered Figma, I created the prototype I shared in my last post just because it popped into my head when I was in the bathroom 😂. I rushed out and decided to try it immediately, more like a freestyle thing and was never intended to be a real product but could be modified into becoming one if the need arises. But many misunderstood the point, which was using the video to convey a message to other young designers never to skip the process, else you will create the wrong MVP. Redesigned the previous prototype with visual mechanics inspired by Blender. The circular selection interaction pattern is a great way to enhance accessibility and improve accuracy by restricting item selection to a single dimension and, therefore, reducing noise in user input. For a circular menu, one may describe spatial transformations using polar coordinates components: Radius and Angle. I used Radius to set selection availability and Angle to define the selected item. Plus, this particular pattern allows you to expose the names of the items, which might be helpful in cases when the functions of the items are not self-obvious. It’s the best organization I feel that I played for in terms of just top to bottom greatness so far and I don’t like leaving good people. Therapist Trey Tucker came on Relatable to talk about anxiety. I asked him, "If you could define anxiety, how would you define it?" Tucker: "Fear of the future. Fear of the unknown. The verse, 'Be still and know that I am God' used to make me so angry. I'm like, God, what do you mean be still? Like, I got a real problem here. I'm in a storm. Why do you want me to just be still? And what I realized is that the word, and I believe it's "Rapha" in the Hebrew, it doesn’t mean just ‘don’t move.’ It means ‘release your grip.’ The idea that I thought that I had control, that was a lie anyway. If I can start to realize like, yes, the circumstances might happen that are negative or I might be in the middle of a battle right now, but if I can loosen my grip and stop white knuckling it, then I can realize that like oh—God is God, not me, and He’s going to take care of me no matter what happens. That really is the solution to anxiety. It’s not changing your circumstances or slapping meds on it.”

I am quitting Figma prototype... I’m done prototyping the traditional way. The slow way. The “let me finish all the flows first” way. AI has made traditional prototyping the lowest-leverage part of design. Today, with AI I can: • generate first-pass layouts • spin up variants instantly • explore flows faster than I ever could manually • handle repetitive UI work So if you are still going to be spending most of your time dragging frames and wiring interactions like i did in this video, I just left you behind.. SORRY. I’m not quitting design. I’m doubling down on: • problem framing • systems thinking • research synthesis • decision-making • shipping faster with AI as a multiplier There is a shift currently happening and its not AI vs designers. It’s average designers vs AI-powered great designers. Honestly I would rather be on the right side of that gap.
