late 2025 - code like high-level engineers

From what I see, most people who are panicking over this are junior folks. Seniors knows that writing code is just a minor part of what we do as a software engineer and would welcome the assistance of such AIs with an open hand since it frees them up to do other critical tasks.

I think AIs will replace your job if you don't reinvent yourself. I've been coding for years. Now I'm looking forward to building and running a highly specialized team of AI coders as agents who will develop at my command.

There will be no code. LLMs will be the code. Kind of like declarative programming, there will be no how anymore, only the what.

They outsourced the manufacturing jobs, told us to learn to code at the same time they were filling the coding jobs with indentured servants, and now they're replacing the coding jobs with AIs while talking about how they need MORE indentured servants. Feel patriotic yet? 🤨
