The ongoing construction of the 100.5km Obelle–Ilaro–Papalanto–Sagamu Road in Ogun State is progressing steadily. This vital infrastructure project is being executed by the Dangote Group under the Federal Government’s Tax Credit Scheme, and our administration played a significant role in ensuring that this project became a reality for the overall benefit of the good people of Ogun State and other road users. About ten months ago, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and I paid an inspection visit to this strategic corridor, which holds immense significance for Ogun State and Nigeria at large. When completed, it will provide a seamless alternative route for commuters from Sango, Iyana Ipaja, and Itori, eliminating the need to use the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway or pass through Abeokuta to access the Sagamu Interchange.

IPERU–ILISHAN ROAD ENTERS FINAL ASPHALTING STAGE The reconstruction and dualisation of the Iperu–Ilishan Road has reached a major milestone, with binder and wearing course asphalt now being laid across sections of the corridor, marking the project’s entry into its final stage. This 5.3-kilometre strategic road, which links Iperu to Ilishan and serves as a critical connection to the Gateway International Airport and the Sagamu–Benin Expressway, has progressed beyond earthworks, extensive drainage construction, and stone-base layers. With active asphalt works ongoing, the road is visibly taking its final shape. We note the steady pace of work delivered so far, including completed drainage systems and stabilised base courses that provide a strong foundation for long-term durability. Upon completion, this road will significantly improve mobility, enhance safety, reduce travel time, and stimulate commercial activities for communities along the corridor and airport-bound commuters. With the completion of this road and the Sagamu–Sapade Road, the Gateway International Airport will become one of the most easily accessible airports in Nigeria, seamlessly connected from the North, South, East, and West. Developing climate-resilient road infrastructure in the geologically fragile Himalayan region remains a significant challenge due to complex terrain, unstable slopes and frequent natural disasters such as landslides, cloudbursts and earthquakes. Sustained efforts are being undertaken to address these concerns through adoption of global best practices and advanced technologies. ▪️Key initiatives include signing of MoUs with THDCIL for specialized landslide treatment in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh, DGRE for geo-hazard mitigation, and GSI for geological investigations and data sharing for tunnel and corridor projects. Collaboration with NIRM focuses on geotechnical investigation scrutiny, design validation, tunnel safety audits, instrumentation monitoring and capacity building. ▪️A policy decision has been taken to prioritize slope cutting and stabilization prior to commencement of road works in hilly terrain, ensuring long-term safety and durability. NLC starts work on Dedicated Freight Corridor & Multimodal Logistics Park, Pipri 🇵🇰 Due to absence of rail-based freight transportation system at Karachi Port, congestion of containers has become a routine problem resulting in slow cargo movement & negative impact on economic activities. Heavy road traffic has also led to increased environmental pollution & damage to road infrastructure. The construction of Dedicated Freight Corridor and Multimodal Logistics Park at Pipri offers a long-term solution to these challenges. Ground breaking ceremony of Dedicated Freight Corridor was held with Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi and Group Chairman and CEO DP World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem attending as chief guests. NLC will complete the project in multiple phases with USD 400 million Foreign Direct Investment. The first phase is scheduled for completion within four months. The project includes rehabilitation of a 52-kilometer railway corridor from Karachi Port to Pipri Marshalling Yard along with development of a modern Multimodal Logistics Park. It is aligned with the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Pakistan Railways’ ML-1 Project. Upon completion, import containers will be transported directly by rail from Karachi Port to Pipri and onward to destinations across Pakistan, China, Central Asia and other regional countries. The project is expected to significantly reduce container congestion at Karachi Port, streamline cargo movement, accelerate economic activity and bring marked improvements in traffic management and environmental conditions.

The first phase of the public-centric 100-day administrative reform initiative has been successfully completed, with all departments performing commendably. A total of 12,500 offices participated, and 48 departments presented self-assessed, target-driven reports. We’re proud to share that the Monorail has secured the mandatory safety certification for its new rolling stock and the CBTC-based signalling system from the Independent Safety Assessor, Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification. This is a massive milestone and brings us one step closer to opening the upgraded Monorail for public use. The next step will be the appointment of a retired Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety official to carry out a comprehensive inspection of the entire 19.54 km Monorail corridor and to grant the final statutory clearance to resume passenger operations. An Indian Express investigation has found that during this period, members of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s family purchased 168 acres of land in and around the city. Much of this land is located in areas that have benefited from new road projects or changes allowing residential and commercial development. Today, we’re announcing that we’ve raised $115 million in funding, including a $100M Series A led by Kleiner Perkins. America has lost the ability to build, and we’re here to restore it. My co-founder, Noah McGuinness, and I left our jobs at SpaceX , where we worked on programs including Starship, Starshield, and Starlink, to build a company that will solve construction’s greatest challenges. Infrastructure is the foundation of civilization, and construction is the precursor to innovation. If America wants to build a brighter future for the next generation, we have to make it faster, cheaper, and safer to build. That’s where TerraFirma comes in. We’re a new type of company, a robotic construction company that builds the full technology stack needed to deliver an order-of-magnitude improvement in one of the world’s oldest, largest, most important, but least efficient industries. We are building technology that expands what’s possible in construction on Earth, and then we'll use that same technology to build megastructures and colonies on the Moon and Mars. We’ve made tremendous progress over the past year, growing the company more than 10x in the last 12 months. We are performing projects across the world. By the end of October 2026, we are on track to operate 3 of the top 3 largest robotic construction fleets in the world, each on a different continent, bringing unprecedented speed, scale, and efficiency to some of the world’s most complex critical infrastructure projects.
