This Canadian rock band originally recorded the song "She's Too Tough," which was written by Def Leppard vocalist Joe Elliott. Joe Elliott originally demoed the song in 1985 during the writing sessions for Def Leppard's Hysteria album, but it did not make the final cut. He then gave the song to this band, who recorded it for their sixth studio album, Wild in the Streets, released in 1987. Def Leppard eventually released their own version of "She's Too Tough" as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of their 1992 album Adrenalize, and later on their 1993 compilation album Retro Active. 👉🏻 What’s the name of this band?

Craig Bartlett just announced the first-ever live show of the P.S. 118 All-Stars, Jim Lang’s band, on June 12 in Los Angeles at Knob World — Jim Lang’s legendary studio where much of the original Hey Arnold! music was recorded. The band will be performing original music from the show, played live by many of the same musicians who helped create it.

Simple Minds were initially reluctant to record it because it was not their own composition, and Jim Kerr was unsure about parts of the lyric. Before the Scottish band finally accepted it, the song had also been offered to artists such as Bryan Ferry and Billy Idol. In the end, Kerr’s then-wife Chrissie Hynde helped persuade the band to give it a chance. Although it never appeared on a contemporary Simple Minds studio album and was associated mainly with the film’s soundtrack, the track became the group’s biggest hit in the United States, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in May 1985, their only American chart-topper.

The song was later covered by the British rock band Led Zeppelin for their 4th studio album, known as Led Zeppelin IV. The band brought a fresh air to the song with their approach, Bonham's drums, Page's heavy-driven electric boxes, John Paul Jones' unique bass lines, and Plant's unmatched vocals. It quickly became a fan favourite song. Then, in 1994, as you may know, Led Zeppelin was already a broke-up band, and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant released their live album "No Quarter Unledded". In this live album, they recorded some of the Led Zep songs and When The Leeve Breaks is one of them. The album's songs were recorded in Morocco, Wales and London occured on an MTV project called "Unledded". Robert Plant and Jimmy Page performing "When The Leeve Breaks" from Unledded in 1994.
