Been playing with a character consistency workflow again. This came from Nexora that starts with a single GPT Image 2.0 character sheet and turns it into a multi-shot cinematic sequence in Seedance 2.0. One thing I added to the workflow: I first comped the character, environment, and visual style together in Midjourney before bringing everything into GPT Image 2.0 to build the character sheet. I also pushed it a bit further by generating multiple characters, destinations, and art directions at the same time, then turning those into production-style character sheets and shot sequences. It's interesting how much consistency you can get from a single well-defined character board when the visual language, wardrobe, and environment are established upfront. Then I feed that audio into Seedance and the video follows the rhythm on its own. Timing, pacing, even camera feeling, all coming from the sound. Audio first. Video second. This is a different way to make AI films.

This is probably the most complex workflow I’ve ever built, only with open-source tools. It took my 4 days. It takes four inputs: author, title, and style; and generates a full visual animated story in one click in ComfyUI . I worked on it for four days. There are still some bugs, but here’s the first preview. Here’s a quick breakdown: - The four inputs are sent to LLMs with precise instructions to generate: first, prompts for images and image modifications; second, prompts for animations; third, prompts for generating music. - All voices are generated from the text and timed precisely, as they determine the length of each animation segment. - The first image and video are generated to serve as the title, but also as the guide for all other images created for the video. - Titles and subtitles are also added automatically in Comfy. - I also developed a lot of custom nodes for minor frame calculations, mostly to match audio and video. - The full system is a large loop that, for each line of text, generates an image and then a video from that image. The loop was the hardest part to build in this workflow, so it can process either a 20-second video or a 2-minute video with the same input. - There are multiple combinations of LLMs that try to understand the text in the best way to provide the best prompts for images and video. - The final video is assembled entirely within ComfyUI. - The music is generated based on the LLM output and matches the exact timing of the full animation. - Done! For reference, this workflow uses a lot of models and only works on an RTX 6000 Pro with plenty of RAM. My goal is not to replace humans, as I’ll try to explain later, this workflow is highly controlled and can be adapted or reworked at any point by real artists! My aim was to create a tool that can animate text in one go, allowing the AI some freedom while keeping a strict flow. I don’t know yet how I’ll share this workflow with people, I still need to polish it properly, but maybe through Patreon. Dynamic motion feels fluid, prompt adherence is solid, and the efficiency really stood out, very little iteration needed. Here's how we made a 1-minute sequence of "The long road back". An animation short-film we've done at Magnific Studios. The process was roughly: - We started with reference images of the boy (Nilo), dog (Pip), the witch and witch house. Krea 2 image model, Nana Banana Pro were heavily used in reference image generation. - The video model was Seedance 2 generations. 15 seconds and with prompts asking for different shots. We basically prompted for 'scenes' - not shots. Trying to generate stand-alone shots and then editing together gives too many problems with continuity. - For every additional 15 second video (we needed at least 4), we would provide the last 5 seconds of the previous video as reference to Seedance 2 + the original reference images. Then in the prompt, ask for continuing the video + prompting for the next part of the story. This proved very productive. - We fixed inconsistencies in many shots by surgically extract the few problematic sections. Then edit 1 frame using Nano Banana. And then regenerating the sequences using this new reference image and Seedance 2. Two examples. The doorknob changed place and the door behind the dog was closed even after the witch stepped out. - All music was generated using Elevenlabs music generator. 3 seperate pieces of music. - All editing and color grading was done in Davinci Resolve. Everything gen AI above was done using Magnific

Trying to generate stand-alone shots and then editing together gives too many problems with continuity. - For every additional 15 second video (we needed at least 4), we would provide the last 5 seconds of the previous video as reference to Seedance 2 + the original reference images. Then in the prompt, ask for continuing the video + prompting for the next part of the story. This proved very productive. - We fixed inconsistencies in many shots by surgically extract the few problematic sections. Then edit 1 frame using Nano Banana. And then regenerating the sequences using this new reference image and Seedance 2. Two examples. The doorknob changed place and the door behind the dog was closed even after the witch stepped out. - All music was generated using Elevenlabs music generator. 3 seperate pieces of music. - All editing and color grading was done in Davinci Resolve. Okay, this one is the Grok Imagine version. But here’s something you need to note: I uploaded the character sheet I made with Nano Banana Pro as the base image. So it feels like this fake “Omni reference” kind of style, but it works 😄 Somehow, it’s much more consistent than uploading a still image of your scene with your character, because there’s a chance your character will morph a bit. By using your character sheet as the base model, it helps maintain consistency. The only problem is that when you do the img2vid prompt, you need to retell the setting, the action, the vibe and so on. But for me, I kind of like that approach, LOL 😆 Like I said, I’m getting lazy about animating images one by one. With this approach, I can just focus on dividing the shots, like shot 1: blabla, shot 2: bliblibli, shot 3: blublu, etc. Now for the comparison: In comparison with the Kling 3.0 Omni version, I feel that Grok Imagine is much more dynamic. But in terms of the character performance, it feels a bit over the top. It’s like the AI characters are acting it out 😁 Meanwhile, Kling 3.0 Omni feels much more realistic in terms of the acting and a bit more atmospheric. I honestly love both. If I want to fool around, I guess I’ll use Grok Imagine. But if I want more subtle realism and a candid feel, I’ll go with Kling 3.0.
