Today, Box is announcing major new AI agent capabilities to let customers tap into the full value of their unstructured data. First, we’re announcing all new updates to the Box AI Studio to make it even easier to build AI agents that tap into your enterprise content for any job function, business process, or industry specific use case. We are also expanding our set of foundational agents that customers will be able to use to work with their enterprise content, including new features like search and research on unstructured data. Next, we’re announcing Box Extract to enable customers to use AI agents seamlessly for complex data extraction from any type of document or content. This makes it easier than ever to pull out data from contracts, invoices, research data, marketing assets, medical charts, and more. Finally, we’re introducing Box Automate, a new workflow automation solution within Box that lets you deploy AI agents across enterprise content-centric workflows. With Box Automate, you can design your business process in a simple drag and drop builder and then drop in AI agents at any step in the process. This ensures agents execute tasks at the right steps in a workflow every time. Best of all, our AI agents and workflow tools are designed to work across any system our customers work within, whether it’s leveraging pre-built integrations, Box APIs, or the new Box MCP Server. Ultimately, all of these capabilities come together to transform how companies can work with their enterprise content. Software has historically only been good at automating work that deals with structured data, which is why ERP, CRM, and HR systems have been mainstays of enterprise software for so long. The data in these systems fits neatly into a database, and the workflows are very ripe for automation. But it turns out most of the work in the world deals with unstructured data. It’s ideating through research documents, working with a client on contracts, reviewing details for a new product launch, looking at a patient’s healthcare record to make a diagnosis, working through due diligence documents for an M&A deal, and so on. For the first time ever, we can begin to bring all new insights and automation to this work with AI agents. At Box, we’re incredibly excited to be on this journey to help customers transform how they work with their most important data.

"The future of AI is agentic. That includes browsers!" Imagine having an AI agent in your browser that can help you complete complex tasks, answer your questions, and streamline your workflow. Today I'm thrilled to share a sneak peek at Project Mariner, a cutting-edge research collaboration between Chrome and Google DeepMind, exploring the future of agentic AI within the browser! Building on the power of Gemini 2.0, Mariner envisions AI agents seamlessly guiding users through online tasks, streamlining workflows and enriching browsing experiences. Imagine having an intelligent co-pilot in your browser, anticipating your needs and proactively offering assistance. We're in the early stages of experimentation, focusing on core functionalities like understanding user intent, automating actions, and providing personalized recommendations. This prototype leverages Gemini's advanced natural language understanding and reasoning capabilities to interpret user requests, both typed and spoken. Mariner can then interact with web pages, retrieve information, and even perform actions like filling out forms or navigating to specific sites. For example, a user could simply ask "Find me a job near me," and Mariner would understand the request, navigate to a relevant job search site, and tailor the search based on the user's location and preferences. This is just one example of how we're exploring Gemini 2.0's potential to unlock agentic experiences through a series of prototypes, including: 1. Agents with multimodal reasoning: Project Astra, our research prototype exploring the capabilities of a universal AI assistant, is enhanced by Gemini 2.0. 2. Agents that can help you accomplish complex tasks: Project Mariner itself focuses on the future of human-agent interaction within the browser. 3. Agents for developers: Jules is an experimental AI-powered coding agent that integrates directly into a GitHub workflow. 4. Agents applied across domains: We're exploring agents for navigating video games and even applying Gemini 2.0's spatial reasoning to robotics. We believe that integrating AI agents directly into the browser has the potential to revolutionize how we interact with the web. Project Mariner aims to make browsing more intuitive, efficient, and personalized. By understanding user context and proactively offering assistance, Mariner can simplify complex tasks, save users time, and empower them to achieve more online. This aligns perfectly with the vision of Gemini 2.0 to create more helpful and intuitive AI experiences. We’re currently testing Mariner with a small group of trusted users to gather feedback and refine the user experience. We believe that this technology holds immense potential to transform the way we browse and interact with information online.

Nex-N2.5 feels less like “another model launch” and more like a push toward agents that can actually finish real work. The part that stands out to me is Nex-N2.5 Pro: a 397B multimodal model built for Vision, Computer Use, and long-horizon interaction. Instead of only understanding a screen, it can keep reading changing UI states and continue operating software step by step. That means workflows like: → moving from an idea to a Blender scene → operating CAD and other professional tools → navigating browsers and software end to end → writing code, running it, checking the interface, fixing issues, and verifying again The brief even shows examples spanning games, Blender, FreeCAD, LabPlot, GeoGebra, and other real desktop workflows. Nex-N2.5 comes in Mini, Pro, and Max, with Mini and Pro focused on multimodal agent capabilities and Max using a 1.6T text-only MoE base for more complex agentic reasoning and coding. The direction is clear: AI agents are moving from “tell me what to do” toward “open the tool and do it.” Nex-N2.5 Mini and Pro are available on OpenRouter free for a limited time:

Worktrace AI and computer use complete each other. 🧡 We recently made a big update to Worktrace AI . It not only FINDS repetitive work in your company, but it now AUTOMATES it for you too. Advancements in computer use have unlocked a wave of personal agents. It will unlock enterprise agents too. The missing piece in enterprise is understanding how work happens. Worktrace records your screen and maps out every workflow to surface top automation opportunities. It takes what it has observed, often hundreds of times over, and turns it into an agent that uses the computer exactly the way your team does. We'd love to demo it to you!

This is probably the biggest news yet in software going headless, and will bring knowledge work agents to the masses. The new ChatGPT agents have access to any of the tools and data you want to work with, with complete coding and tool use available to them. Here's an example of a custom sales assistant agent uses Box as a knowledge source for accessing enterprise content securely to answer questions and generate new content on the fly. The workflows can obviously vastly far more complex as the agent can use any of the tools within Box available via MCP and CLI. This precisely what agents will start to look like for knowledge work. You'll be able to spin them up in the foreground or background to help augment work. Big opportunity right now for headless platforms, and for all the new builders and designers of these agents in the enterprise.

ServiceNow ($NOW): Why AI Agents Are Boosting Growth, Not Killing It 📊 Fears that autonomous AI agents would disrupt ServiceNow are falling flat against cold, hard customer data. Instead of losing market share, ServiceNow is positioning itself as the central command center for enterprise AI. The Key AI & Enterprise Metrics: - Backlog Acceleration: Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) rose 21% YoY, pushing total RPO to $29 Billion (with $13.3B in current RPO). - Enterprise Expansion: Customers continue extending long-term contracts, showing that real enterprise usage is expanding rather than shrinking. - The AI Orchestration Moat: While basic AI agents handle simple tasks like password resets, ServiceNow is emerging as the essential platform to govern, manage, and audit thousands of multi-agent workflows at scale. Dilantha De Silva's Take: "AI agents can take some of the business away related to repetitive tasks... Multi-agent systems offer incredible potential and unprecedented risks. How do you solve for observability, failure mode analysis, and guardrailing in the era of agents? Today, we’re announcing our Agent Reliability platform to observe, evaluate, guardrail, and improve agents at scale. You can get started with the complete platform for trustworthy agentic AI today for free, and here’s how we’re solving some of the biggest challenges in agent reliability: - Observability redesigned for agents Trace views collapse under complex workflows, so we created the Graph View, Timeline View, and Conversation View to offer rich, intuitive visualizations of agent decisions, tool calls, and conversation flows. This multi-dimensional approach enables teams to pinpoint exactly where and why agents deviate or fail. - Automated Failure Mode Analysis with our new Insights Engine Our Insights Engine ingests your logs, metrics, and agent code to automatically surface nuanced failure modes and their root causes. But knowing the problem is not enough; you need to know how to fix it. Insights Engine delivers actionable fixes and can even apply them automatically. With adaptive learning, your insights become smarter and more relevant as your agents evolve. - Evaluating Agents Across Multiple Dimensions Agentic systems interact across complex pathways, and evaluating their performance requires new metrics that reflect this increasing complexity. To deliver comprehensive agentic measurements, we’ve added more out-of-the-box agent metrics like flow adherence, agent flow, agent efficiency, and more. For specialized domains and unique workflows, custom metrics powered by our new Luna-2 small language models can be rapidly designed and fine-tuned for your specific use case. - Real-Time Guardrails Powered by Luna-2 As AI agents become more autonomous and complex, failures like hallucinations or unsafe actions increase dramatically. Without real-time guardrails, these errors will hurt your user experience and brand reputation. Our Luna-2 family of small language models is purpose-built to provide low-latency, cost-effective guardrails that actively stop agent errors before they happen. With support for out-of-the-box and custom metrics, Luna-2 enables enterprises to enforce safety, compliance, and reliability at scale. Enterprises running hundreds of agents and processing hundreds of millions of queries daily already rely on Galileo’s Agent Reliability platform to protect their users, safeguard brand trust, and accelerate innovation. I am hooked on Dynamic Workflows! The idea of generating harnesses on the fly is so compelling that I reverse-engineered it for my agent orchestrator. And then I built a monitoring dashboard (as an HTML artifact) to track tasks, metrics, and reports. I can now use and monitor dynamic workflows in my agent orchestrator with coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Pi, and even my own custom-built DAIR.AI agent. This is clearly the future of working with agents to accomplish complex, long-running tasks. Some use cases I'm having success with: - Branching deep research tasks (with verification) - Parallel deep research tasks - Session mining of all my agent sessions - Bug hunting - Triaging - Fact-checking - LLM councils - AI simulations - Data synthesis - Evals generation ... and many others Dynamic workflows, like agent skills, feel like an important primitive to not only get the most out of agents but also incorporate dynamic behaviors and important components like cooperation and verification. There is so much exploration ground here. The exciting part is that this is not limited to coding tasks; it extends to business use cases and many other technical domains like science and research.

Introducing the new Box Agent. The Box Agent works across your entire Box file system, maintaining all your security and access controls, and is hyper tuned for working with enterprise content. This means you can now ask questions from all your enterprise content, search for files that were impossible to find before, deploy an agent on specific tasks on subsets of documents, analyze complex data sets, and generate or edit documents and spreadsheets via the agent. You can have the Box Agent search across your Box account to prepare for a sales meeting, analyze customer sentiment reports, process a large set of contracts for legal risk, provide insights into product development, leverage existing knowledge to answer RFPs, and thousands of other use-cases. 90% of enterprise data is unstructured data. This means most enterprise knowledge is sitting in inside of research reports, marketing assets, presentations, roadmap files, contracts, HR documents, and more. This is the critical context that agents need to be able to answer questions about a business, automate workflows, or serve up to other agents. We’ve been grinding on this for a quite a bit, and due to recent AI model advancements we’re now ready to release it to customers. Previous model generations had a difficult time knowing when to give up or keep going on a search, when to browse for files vs. use queries, how to rank files appropriately to know which version of content to use, how to handle large amounts of context to comb through, and more. Due to recent breakthroughs from models like GPT-5.4, Opus 4.6, and Gemini 3, we’ve seen major gains in tool calling, code execution, advanced reasoning, and more. Combined with an agent harness tuned to Box context, now it’s finally possible to have an agent that can work across your file system on long running tasks and actually deliver high quality results. Best of all, because the Box Agent works with any leading AI model, you’ll quickly get the gains coming out of the major labs as major new models are released. Further, openness at Box is key, so you’ll be able to call up the Box Agent from Box’s APIs and MCP server, so you can interact with Box intelligently from any other AI system. We know work happens everywhere, and we want to ensure you can access to the content you need from those places. The new Box Agent is available starting today, rolling out now for Enterprise Plus and Enterprise Advanced customers.

Right now the main paradigm that we think of agents in is chatting back and forth, but the biggest use of tokens will come from agents that are just always on running in the background doing work for us, or ones triggered from a workflow. Agents will be working 24/7 in our workflows processing data, reviewing and generating documents, moving data between systems, writing code, accelerating decision making steps, and more. In Claude's new Managed Agents feature, in a couple minutes you can wire up an agent that can read contracts when they come into Box to review them, and then assign a task in Linear with the critical information from the contract. But this could have been any workflow, like reviewing documents for client onboarding, invoice processing, M&A due-diligence, data extraction pipelines, and millions of other use-cases. And integrating data across any system. This is only possible when you can have long-running agents that can complete real work in the background, accurately. Agents have the ability to execute code safely, leverage tools, access a compute sandbox, and connect across systems is clearly the architecture of the future. The industry is now making it easier and easier for enterprises to build and deploy these agents.

We Accel are excited to have led the pre-seed round in Ando, and deepen our partnership with Sara Du as they announce their seed round and $20M in total funding led by our friends at Index Ventures and Emergence Capital. Ando is a new team messaging product, built for a world where humans and agents work side by side. Agents are now very capable partners across software development, customer support, legal, finance, and many other functions. And as AI-native work becomes more multiplayer, coordinating context, memory, and activity across a growing number of agents is the new bottleneck. Today, Ando is opening up access to more teams, and you can sign up at More in the video and comments below on what makes Ando so unique.
