It’s almost impossible to completely isolate the players from the stage. If I know a crucial play that requires crowd silence is about to happen, I will usually toggle xray so players don't get tipped off from any extra noise.

I love my Hogs!!! I will ride with them until the wheels fall off, then keep going from there. But sugarcoating mistakes doesn’t lead to improvement. It’s not about tearing players down—it’s about setting a standard. Because being “good” isn’t the goal… being great is. And greatness requires honesty, discipline, and the willingness to confront uncomfortable realities.

Playing time is the ultimate motivator Every program has their non negotiables, and within the program each player has a certain role that they need to crush. A lot of players and parents struggle with the idea that you don’t get unlimited mistakes and chances. At some point, if you aren’t producing, you won’t be able to play. This will happen to 95% of players.. whether it’s for a couple possessions, for a couple games, or for a season. The real tell is the players ability to learn from it and grow!
