We need a halt on data center construction until we can establish meaningful regulations to protect our environment, prevent energy rate increases, prohibit mass surveillance, and preserve our workforce. If AI must exist, it should exist for the benefit of the working class, not anti-human billionaires and utility monopolies.

The U.S. already has 5,500 data centers that use 449 million gallons of water a day. They’re being built on farmland so in addition to taking away our water they’re taking away our food supply all for mass surveillance, AI slop, and to make billionaires richer. These data centers will ultimately lead to our extinction if we don’t stop them.

They’re rushing to build AI Data Centers here in Kentucky and across the U.S. They frame it as an “investment” into our communities. They make money hand over fist, and we get skyrocketing utility bills, polluted drinking water, and dried up natural resources. Families are even getting pushed out of their homes for these big money projects. AI must work for working people, not be another tool to exploit and screw us over. The people are pushing back. And we must finally pass a national ban to end gerrymandering once and for all, in every state in the union. Once we transform this broken, corrupt system, we can start unrigging this economy.
