This baseball tournament turned into chaos. This tournament is for the kids!Look at the parents. It’s like some ghetto barroom brawl. 🤯 When will parents learn that they are not only embarrassing themselves but they are embarrassing their kids. Glad there were some civil people there trying to break it up. This is why that woman sits in the outfield! And why I sit away too. That’s just crazy. No one has time for that! Have you ever seen adults go at it at a kid’s game? What are they thinking?

“No medication actually heals ADHD — they only suppress symptoms.” Gabor Maté said this on Steven Bartlett’s podcast and it really made me stop and think. He explained that the real solution isn’t pills. It’s creating a calm, accepting, low-stress home where parents work on their own stresses so they don’t unconsciously pass them on. When that happens, many kids improve dramatically without medication. Meds, at best, are a temporary stopgap — never the final answer, and no child should be forced into them. We’ve been quick to label kids with a “brain disorder” and reach for pills, but a lot of it seems to be kids reacting to the stressed environments we’ve created. Shifting focus from “fix the child” to “fix the conditions” feels like a much more honest and compassionate approach. Do you think we’re over-relying on medication for ADHD, or is environment and parenting the bigger missing piece? What’s your experience or take?

Look at what children in Singapore and China are being exposed to from as early as Grade 3 and 4 basic automotive skills like spark-plug installation, camshaft work, engine components, mechanical maintenance and hands-on problem-solving 🔧🚗 Our TVET college students, and unfortunately even some of our lecturers are struggling with practical skills that should be the foundation of vocational education. 😭 Why can’t we start much earlier? Our children don’t only need textbooks and exams. Give them tools. Let them build, dismantle, repair, experiment and learn how things actually work. Imagine a child growing up thinking, “I can fix this,” instead of waiting until adulthood to discover what a spanner is 😂 TVET shouldn’t start when you’re already an adult. Let’s catch them young!

Because I just find it weird and creepy how fast these men only think about children when they see an early-20s tomboy in a video game.
