LETS GOOOOO! I simplified the setup a little by converting the bowstring part, to mesh. I just have to add some correction to the string on the cam to push it in as it rotates, to fake the string pulling off😁 And then do the same for the other...

Outfits are in! I still need to do some outfit specific rigging, just so that everything is as good as it can be.😄 I also have to slot each outfit rig into the rigUI layers without making it look busy... got a couple ideas for that though 📝 #blender #rigging #TombRaider

Here's what I have made for the finger correction!😁 It might be overkill, and it did take over 3 hours... But i believe that it's the little details like this that make a big difference overall! It's all about keeping that volume preserved :) #blender #rigging #rig

A friend asked me how I rig the braids physics. It’s very similar to a post I made earlier. The main part of this braid uses only a single layer — the trick is to artmesh carefully along the pattern, then add some mesh displacement in the physics so it looks 3D like. Who can help me figure this out? With the 'legacy' Cloth in Blender you can add Hooks and stretch a mesh during simulation. With the same setup and the new Cloth Dynamics in Blender 5.2, it just pulls on the individual Vertices. What am I doing wrong? #B3D #Blender #Blender3D

All done! And it looks so satisfying 😍 It turned out to be really simple once you handle the strings in segments instead of being one whole object. Just have the controllers to polish and some clean-up to do and that's a wrap! I'm so pleased :) #blender #rigging #rig

Shoulder strap rigged✅ Using MCH B-Bones on a simple DEF chain, worked really well for this! Ended up with a super flexible and easy to tweak setup. Only the holster left to rig on this outfit, and then it's onto the other 12...😅 #blender #rigging #rig

Got the eye rig to work as well I'm really happy how it turned out. I do have a shrinkwrap modifier on the head to help the shape but it can be turned off for more extreme shapes. Next i'll work on some arkit shapes for face tracking.

The first version of the Fondant Face Proxy Normals is feature complete, so here's a closer look at how it is used (character by Joce ). First, align the armature to the head. If you want to attach to an existing rig, make sure the Root bone is exactly placed on the head bone. Adjust it to fit the face with the alignment bone layers. Use the debug material to help see what you are doing. Then use the other bones to adjust the shape. You can attach it to an existing rig by parenting the root bone to the head bone, or even merging the proxy rig into it (2nd clip.) The Normals rig can be posed on the fly for different shots. Since the setup actually uses a mesh object to control the curves (via Geometry Nodes), you can also easily make shapekeys on the proxy to correspond to expression keys, and then drive them (3rd clip.)
