A few things I learned about Butter Powder Biscuits this week: First of all, this is some serious kitchen witchcraft. Butter plus eggs should not equal biscuits in any reality but here we are. Granted the moisture has been removed from the butter, but still! Using 2 eggs and 1 cup of powdered butter instead of just 1 egg, stretches the butter powder and yields more biscuits! (Thanks to KrisBlackRose for this) Cooking the batter in a buttered muffin pan works well but the results taste more like muffins. Duh! I found a cheaper, larger size powder made by Nutricost. It's $1.48 USD per ounce vs the $2.00 per oz I was paying for It's Just. This container holds 113 tablespoons for $36. That means each container will get between 21 and 28 biscuits and the cost per biscuit is about $1.44. The biscuits taste great after being in the fridge overnight. Recipe: 1 or 2 eggs 1 cup powdered butter Cook at 350° on a parchment line sheet tray for 15 to 20 minutes.

Forget egg white bread. These are 10 times easier to make and 10 times tastier. Probably 2x times more costly too but you get what you pay for. Two ingredient carnivore butter biscuits: 1 cup powdered butter 1 egg Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Outside texture: 9 Inside texture: 7 Taste: 8 Simplicity: 10 Piled the dough high thinking it would make up for lack of baking powder. The height was good but the center kind of underdone. Will make them thinner next time. The texture is somewhere between muffin and biscuit.

Not sure why I don’t make these carnivore “muffins” more often. There’s just something uniquely delicious about how the flavors from the egg and the bacon gel when cooking together. You have to try it to understand. Cook your bacon 400° for 12 to 15 minutes. You want it half cooked. Ring bacon in a standard muffin pan and pour a little bit of bacon grease into each cup. Carefully crack an egg into each ring. Bake for exactly 10 minutes. The eggs will continue to cook as they gradually cool down. Use a spoon to carefully extricate each of the muffins. Enjoy!

I think this will be my last recipe in my Steak-umm series but don't quote me. One bite will raise your eyebrows. Yes, it's very similar to the Steak-umm lasagna I made last week but it's much simpler. Steak-umm Manicotti Season and bake 6 Steak-umm sheets at 350 for 12 minutes or until just done. Allow to cool Combine 1 cup ricotta cheese with one egg, a dash of garlic powder, a handful of shredded pizza cheese and freshly grated parm cheese and a pinch of salt. Stuff and roll the Steak-umms with the ricotta mix. Place in a small casserole dish and top with tomato sauce or marinara, more pizza cheese and parm cheese and bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.

These are insanely good. Ingredients: ∙8 eggs ∙1 cup cooked meat (I used bacon and it was everything) ∙2 cups shredded cheese of your choice (I did cheddar + gruyère) ∙3 tbsp heavy cream ∙Butter for the dish (and I mean HEAVILY) Directions: Brown your meat and let it cool. While that’s going, whisk your eggs, shred your cheese, and mix it all together with the heavy cream. Save a little cheese and bacon to sprinkle on top. Heavily butter your dish, pour everything in, top it with your reserved cheese and bacon, and bake at 350° for about 25 minutes until the knife comes out clean and there’s no jiggle in the middle. Let it rest 5 minutes before you cut it. Top with whatever you want, I went sour cream and I have zero regrets. The whole casserole costs about $8 to make and feeds 4 people. That’s $2 a serving.
