why are you hurting the bots danny

🤣

Why you beating up those lil grok bots?

now that you mentoned it, I didnt realise lol

I can't for the life of me get animation and these cool effects to work? How do you get these things in the engine?

little pill guys remind me of the smash bros punching bag, very crispy and smooth

You really have nice taste! Youd be slinging out deep games if you paired up with a mechanics side designer with simialrly great taste!

I love the are design so far! BotW has a very specific camera system, the pitch / focus changes a lot during combat. If you can get that right it’ll feel 👌

Good point! I will pay attention to that, thanks!

Lovely! Is this threejs?

yup!

Feels very relaxing

This looks cute and interesting at the same time 😀

looks amazing!

What did @bot do to you? Or maybe you were going for the Smash Bros sandbag?

The hit flashes stay easy to see against all that grass. Is there a build to try yet?

The sandbag finally fights back 🙌

annd another banger

nooooice i like the cute char

Kinda looks like you're fighting grok bots!

I've been working on a turn based game for the last 6 months, but live combat is calling my name

Ole! se ve genial ese combate Zelda style con target lock!

How strong do you think a sword is? It should have broken after the 4th or 5th hit requiring you to craft another one. I thought you knew....Looks great.

thats one thing that I will probably wont introduce to this game, I dont love that aspect of BOTW

The way to go to start with capsule and make it fun 🙌

yup! make the fun first

how'd make the animations? seems all procedural

yeah its procedural but took quite a lot of tweaking to get it right, and its still not 100% right yet

did you make the model or generated it? curious about the process

Looks so smooth, love it

Man you need to start teaching us. All of your demos are looking great.

Man I love that style, looks awesome!

Looks really good. what did you use for sound effects?

Thanks! I have a paid asset sfx pack with lots of sfx in there that I ask my agent to go pick from

Thanks @DannyLimanseta, great tip. I'm doing the same for my game: dropping a big sound effects pack on the machine and letting my agent pick and wire in the sounds. I'm starting with the free Kenney and Sonniss GDC packs, plus ElevenLabs for a few custom ones.

Make the gameplay similar to Zelda: breath of the wild

An example of how art direction can really allow for simplicity in graphics which allows you to focus on the things that matter more! Like mechanics and fun.

Nice. 👍 good project.

that visual style look nice.

dude i love that character design! what was your workflow for that guy?

The visuals look great and it feels so smooth

love the visuals

se ve genial

Niiiicceee

whats making it feel fun, hitstop or the animation timing?
