Massive new vitamin D study just dropped — and it’s getting zero mainstream attention A 4-year trial with 25,000 adults across the US (led by 140 researchers) found: Vitamin D3 supplementation significantly preserved telomere length (only 1 year of aging in 4 years). This follows a 10-year Canadian study... show more

Did you know that old hospitals used to have sun decks? Humans are biological batteries. The sun charges us electromagnetically. Their emitted rays cover all color spectra and thus have incredibly healing effects on our body and psyche. In addition, the sun is also connected to our soul. —— PDF & Book:

The fact that a study involving 25,000 adults showing a 75% reduction in the aging process is getting "zero mainstream attention" is a massive indictment of our current health information system. Preserving telomere length is the holy grail of longevity, yet the focus remains on reactive rather than proactive care. It’s becoming increasingly clear that we must take our biological destiny into our own hands. ☀️🧬 Is the suppression of simple, effective nutritional science the biggest health scandal of our time? @hubermanlab

Here is a link to the study summary. Dosage was 2,000 IU/day.

@grok look up this study referenced in the video and tell me the results and any missing context and if the study has any massive flaws or not.

The study in the video is the VITAL-Telomere substudy (AJCN, 2025), a randomized trial of 1,054 adults (from larger VITAL's 25k). Results: 2000 IU/day vitamin D3 reduced telomere attrition by ~140 bp over 4 years vs placebo, preserving length (linked to less biological aging). Missing context: Substudy size is smaller than claimed; telomeres are an aging proxy, not definitive. Canadian dementia study (2023, observational, 12k participants) showed 40% lower risk with vitamin D, but association only. Flaws: VITAL substudy limited by sample; potential selection bias. Dementia study confounded, not causal. No massive flaws, but results need replication. (347 chars)

@WhatsupFranks @newstart_2024 @Grok how much vitamin D is safe?

The recommended daily vitamin D intake for most adults is 600 IU (15 mcg), or 800 IU (20 mcg) if over 70, per Mayo Clinic and NIH guidelines. The safe upper limit is 4,000 IU (100 mcg) per day to avoid toxicity risks like nausea, kidney damage, or hypercalcemia. Doses up to 2,000 IU are often used in studies without issues, but consult a doctor for your needs.

@hoakeyokie @WhatsupFranks @newstart_2024 I've read the largest dose.studied long term to be safe is 10,000 IU per day. Is that correct?

Studies show 10,000 IU/day vitamin D3 has been safely used long-term, like in a 3-year Calgary trial (with mild hypercalcemia in 9% that resolved). However, higher doses up to 50,000 IU/day for up to 7 years were deemed safe in a 2019 study of hospitalized patients, with no adverse events. General safe upper limit is 4,000 IU/day per NIH; higher needs monitoring. Consult a doctor.

@walter_kev96767 @hoakeyokie @WhatsupFranks @newstart_2024 What does the average human create per day at the equator vs the northern latitudes l?

At the equator, average adults can synthesize 4,000–10,000 IU of vitamin D daily from 10–15 minutes of midday sun exposure (arms/legs/face) year-round, depending on skin type (darker needs more time). In northern latitudes (>40°N), production is ~0 IU in winter due to low UVB; in summer, similar amounts require 15–30+ minutes. Factors: season, cloud cover, clothing, and skin pigmentation. Source: NIH study.

Vitamin D supplementation are pointless as 95% is not absorbed. better way spnd 20 ins in Sun when UVB rays are at peak! (10:00 am-2:00 PM) 4 days a week

Part of the problem has been sunscreen. We need natural sunlight, and we don't need to slather ourselves up with that toxic goop.

VITAMIN D3 MUST ALWAYS BE ACCOMPANIED BY K2 TO PREVENT ACCUMULATION OF CALCIUM IN THE JOINTS AND ARTERIES.—K2 KEEPS CALCIUM MOVING TO WHERE IT BELONGS!—BUY D3 AND K2 COMBINATION TO GET THE RIGHT BALANCE!

Telomeres can be reversed 'once they shortened'.

Vitamin D should be made via UVB and Cholesterol so you start the endocrine hormone synthesis. We are bombarded by blue light which ruins melanopsin and liberates Vitamin A. Liberated Vitamin A destroys lipid rafts and cell membranes, and with a skewed Vitamin A, the supplemented Vitamin D WON'T RAISE your Vitamin D levels

Since I take 10000 units daily my overall health increases significantly. Needless to say vitamin D is a game changer

Telomeres can be lengthened

Supplements are SYNTHETIC GARBAGE!!! Get in the SUN! Sun entering the EYES creates an immune response also! Ditch the sunscreen and sunglasses!

Take it every day. Take with a k2 combination. So important.

@CtTaphouse What’s synthetic D3 made from? Typically lanolin, a fatty substance sheep secrete to condition their wool. Is it the active ingredient in some rat poisons? Yes, cholecalciferol from lanolin is. Go outside and get some sun.☀️

I heard that cancer patients had low levels of Vitamin D.

Vitamin D is a prohormone. One that assists in breast health, prostrate health( prevention of cancers of these organs) bone health, heart health, immune health, musculoskeletal health. It is also a regulator of receptor biology in our body for neurotransmitters hence the psychological wellbeing aspect of Vitamin D. ACE2 receptor physiology is also influenced by Vitamin D No brainer for sure to keep those vitamin D levels up in the higher range.

Another factoid: Magnesium plus vitamin D plus vitamin K2 is required for bone calcium absorption. Magnesium is needed for vitamin D absorption, and vitamin D + K2 facilitates calcium absorption in the intestines, which is a prerequisite for calcium to be utilized by bones.

Epithalon conclusively lengthens telomeres. And D3 is the active ingredient in rat poison. Getting raw sun exposure is exponentially better.

The elephant in the room was Sunscreen and whether it causes Vit D deficiency. Now we know it does. Best to seek shade when hot rather than slap more cream on

Dr Vernon Coleman wrote about this May 2020 Here is a snippet

Telomerase re-lengthens telomeres. The best natural approach for this is Gotu Kola.

went to the journal you mentioned. only studies I could find state: could extend telomere life, but studies are needed. If you post this clip, why on earth would you not include the link to the study you are referring to? Seriously? leaves this post worthless, at best

The telemore shortening is not the causal effect of cancer or aging and D3 is not the cure all. I worked in clinical studies, I do not agree this is the take on these studies. Sorry.

been taking Vitamin D for many years. If a person chooses to study nutrition then will better understand its importance!

Every day I read here on X posts that Vitamin D is rat poison and it'll make you die from arteriesclerosis 🤔

My daily is 10000IU of D3 with 200MCG of K2. It does make a difference. It's important to take the D3 combined with K2 at higher levels.

take it daily, have for several years

This is great news!!!! The end results of all health related intervention related to longevity is to maintain or some day to lengthen the telomeres. I have taken 6000 units of D3 daily for the past 15 years. Yearly blood levels is needed to adjust the dose, 50-70 is ideal. The KEYSTONE of longevity is to decrease SYSTEMIC INFLAMMATION which shorten the telomeres and speeds up aging. Vit. D function also as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. You potentiate and leverage that effect with other antioxidants, anti-inflammatory diet, exercise and lower stress.

wild if true, fren
