Your hair is much too nice for these rants. Id like to see you becoming increasingly more disheveled (in character of course). Have a great week!

I hate pair programming. My train of thought is constantly interrupted. I prefer a deep and holistic understanding of the problem which requires long bouts of non interrupted thinking.

I swear, it's the only explanation of pair programming that makes sense to me, in my entire life.

Hit it on the nail Uncle Bob 👏 Engineers, already usually the introverted sort, create habits that make it even harder for them to engage with others. This all comes to a head once they're in front of a woman they like but suddenly realise, all those awesome high IQ skills won't do what they want in that moment...

It's essentially a deep feedback session. You learn how to give & take feedback, your pair learns how to do the same, both learn how to communicate and both expand their knowledge in coding. It's the right amount of "hard" where your brain switches to learning mode. 100%

Pair programming only works when both programmers are at the same level. Otherwise, it degrades into a telnet session.
