Took too long to get to the point, clearly engagement bait, clicked off

sorry mister conor but my neck is forwards to hide my massive boobs when i wear hoodies 💔

Forward neck is a new virus The reason is all day sitting and scrolling

Forward head posture is often a compensation for restricted rib cage expansion or pelvic tilt. The neck is just the end of the kinetic chain trying to find balance.

Idk, corner pec stretch and rhomboid/shoulder ER strengthening seem a lot more to the point than this mumbo jumbo

Interesting process 👍

@grok is this scientifically accurate and statistically significant?

Thank you! I have this problem, but I thought it was from scoliosis. Perhaps that is contributing. Either way, I definitely notice it in my breathing.

Good question — tight neck muscles usually aren’t the root cause, they’re compensation. Forward head posture typically happens because: Weak deep neck flexors → the stabilizing muscles aren’t doing their job, so superficial muscles overwork and tighten. Rounded shoulders / tight chest → posture starts lower (thoracic spine, shoulders), not just the neck. Long sitting + screen time → body adapts to the position you repeat most. Stress breathing patterns → shallow chest breathing keeps neck muscles constantly engaged. So just stretching the neck isn’t enough. Real fix = posture correction, upper-back strength, chest mobility, and better ergonomic habits.

Bull. I have forward head. I am an ex elite cyclist. Mountain marathon runner. Personal trainer. I do not have a weak diaphragm.

i dont have neck

This is new.. That’s it? kinda interesting Yo, there ain’t no exercises or what?

BRAVO! I hope you read this. TRAUMA- stored in my body has caused this exact problem beginning w poor diaphragm breathing -> pain + headaches. My body was in perpetual “brace” mode: held exhale, engaged abs waiting for a punch and clenched jaw, often my hands in fists. TY for thi

Breathing?

Smells like BS.

It’s stress… Chronic stress. Address your nervous system, the posture will change

Because of an S-curve scoliosis, I have chronically tight neck, shoulder, and jaw muscles. My nervous system is apparently in a constantly bracing state, so this helped to relax the muscles across the front of shoulders/top of thorax. Feels amazing.

This is great. you can also mentally direct your spine to lengthen and observe and direct the air to flow into the middle of your lungs and expand 3 dimensionally while upright.

Who else just took a deep breath after watching this?

There is a lot of true what you're claim. Bad posture around of neck and shoulders is compensation of human organism's breathing via mouth, in respond to unable to brath via nasal ways.

Seems like if the diaphragm is the issue, it’s possibly because you’ve spent years doing chest breathing rather than deep belly breathing. Breathing up in your chest isn’t fully utilizing your diaphragm.
