Node-based tools just became non-experimental and are now part of Blender 4.0 beta. They allow you to create custom operators using #GeometryNodes. For that purpose there are also a few tool-specific nodes to access e.g. the current selection. #b3d #devfund

Designing MRI coils using ElectroMag Nodes! You can visualise the magnetic field lines generated by the superconducting electromagnets in MRI machines and see how making adjustments to them impacts the strength and shape of the field lines, and especially the straightness of lines in the centre In am using the new gizmos in geometry nodes to quickly add and adjust coils. Slowly adding to my tool stack for Hallway . This is a spline patch making a mesh that is wrapped from UV space onto the model. There's also setups to unwrap meshes on the surface back to UV space. Working in UV space enables a lot of procedural workflows. #b3d

Pi-GUI now has computer use and a build in integrated terminal! v0.1.0-beta.26 To showcase the power of Mario Zechner 's Pi and OSS, I saw a pi computer-use extension on X, asked my agent to audit the extension for security, then asked it to patch pi-gui to make it compatible. Crazy how easy it was to find an oss extension for a feature I wanted, then make pi-gui work with the feature I want. Links below
