Empowering Education, Advancing Healthcare! 🏥 Performed the Bhoomipujan of 'Centre of Excellence' and to inaugurate CHAKRA at MUHS, Nashik. A visit to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences campus was very nice. More than just infrastructure, it reflects thoughtful vision and purposeful planning — the kind that shapes the future of healthcare education. Marking 25 years of impactful contribution, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences has made medical education accessible across the State. A university’s growth goes beyond academics and curriculum — the world’s top institutions thrive as Centres of Excellence and Incubation, driving research, nurturing innovators, and shaping the future of their fields. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the New Education Policy has positively transformed the way we view the education sector. It’s encouraging to see our universities now driving meaningful initiatives. Earlier, there was a gap between academic learning and job market needs; however, curriculum are being shaped with industry in mind. In this context, the 'Chakra' model based on the Hub and Spoke system, along with the concept of Centres of Excellence, holds great significance. We aim to enhance healthcare over the next 2 to 4 years, providing families with up to ₹5 lakh health insurance under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. We are working to ensure 50% of surgeries and treatments under this scheme occur within State-run institutions. Previously, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences partnered with the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur for a significant Tribal Health program. A Centre of Excellence, based on the Hub and Spoke model, now includes Tribal Health, Genetic Care, and Genetic Studies. As universities worldwide move towards self-reliance, India is expected to follow, making such initiatives vital. Efforts to drive positive change in healthcare through technology and startups are underway. Minister Girish Mahajan, Minister Dadaji Bhuse, Minister Narhari Zirwal, Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and other dignitaries were present. The "Samruddhi" Expressway of Maharashtra – A Dream Fulfilled! In my eyes, the dream of a prosperous Maharashtra was always alive… Today, I was elated to inaugurate the last phase of 'Hinduhrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg' (Igatpuri to Amne, Thane - 76 km) and Thane Creek Bridge No. 3 South Side on Sion-Panvel Mahamarg in Igatpuri, Nashik. Back in 2014, we dreamt of a transformative highway that would redefine connectivity and prosperity in Maharashtra. Today, that dream stands realised! This is more than just a road — it’s Maharashtra’s Economic Lifeline. Aptly named after Hinduhrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray, this Samruddhi Mahamarg has now seamlessly connected 24 districts directly to JNPT. And soon, it will extend further to the upcoming Vadhavan Port — unlocking unprecedented economic potential for our state. Samruddhi Mahamarg will not just serve as a route for travel, but will become the backbone of Maharashtra’s economic development. The extensive machinery involved in this project was also specially appreciated. Built at a cost of ₹55,335 crore, this 701-kilometre-long expressway was completed in record time. It was noted that the success of this project is largely due to the valuable contributions of MSRDC, the Public Works Department, engineers, officials, contractors, machine owners, and the thousands of labourers who worked tirelessly day and night. A 76-kilometre stretch of the Samruddhi Mahamarg passes through Nashik and Thane districts. The tunnel near Igatpuri, which is 8 kilometres long, is the longest in the State and the widest in the country. A decision has been made to undertake plantation drives along the Samruddhi Mahamarg and the Palkhi route through the Forest Department. Advanced technology has been employed to make the expressway accident-free. The 1st phase of the Samruddhi Mahamarg was inaugurated by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the 2nd phase was inaugurated by the then CM and now DCM Eknath Shinde ji, and the 3rd phase by Minister Dadaji Bhuse. Today, the final phase of this grand highway has been inaugurated collectively by all representatives of the MahaYuti Sarkar. The Samruddhi Mahamarg has been completed in record time, and similarly, work on the access-controlled Shaktipeeth Mahamarg—set to transform Marathwada’s economy—will begin soon. To ease congestion on the Vashi Bridge over Thane Creek, the newly inaugurated Thane Creek Bridge No. 3 on the Sion-Panvel Highway marks a major step. The 'Missing Link' project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will also be completed shortly. We have not only inaugurated an expressway, but we laid a strong foundation for future infrastructure development. These projects are not just about reducing geographical distances—they are about propelling the State’s journey of progress forward. As I drove on this expressway today, I recalled all the challenges we faced, but the resolve remained unshaken. And this dream has been fulfilled! This is not just a road… It’s a path leading to prosperity, progress, and endless possibilities. DCM Eknath Shinde ji, DCM Ajitdada Pawar, Minister Dadaji Bhuse, Minister Shivendra Raje Bhonsle, Minister Narhari Zirwal, MoS Meghna Bordikar, MLC Niranjan Davkhare, MLA Kisan Kathore and other dignitaries were present. From Enterprise to Excellence: Maharashtra’s New Growth Story! Maharashtra’s strength has always gone beyond numbers — though the figures speak volumes. Contributing 40% to India’s GDP, attracting 31% of FDI, leading in start-ups with 25% of India’s share, the highest number of unicorns, MSMEs, and as the largest bearing oil exporter, the state stands as the country’s economic powerhouse. But the true strength lies in the enterprising spirit of its people — those gathered here and countless others who’ve built this thriving ecosystem. This dialogue is a convergence of ideas, aspirations, and decisive action. The goal is clear — to make Maharashtra the most dynamic, investor-friendly, and sustainable destination in India. Over the past decade, this industrial ecosystem has expanded beyond MMR and Pune, transforming regions once seen as remote. Gadchiroli is fast emerging as India’s new steel hub. Amravati has built a full textile value chain under PM MITRA. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is shaping up as the country’s EV capital. Nashik leads in defense manufacturing, with a dedicated corridor taking shape. Pune, Navi Mumbai, and Raigad continue to drive advanced industries, while the upcoming Vadhvan Port — three times bigger than JNPT — will redefine Maharashtra’s logistics and trade future. Even as industries flourish, sustainability stays at the core. By 2030, 52% of the state’s power will be green. Gadchiroli’s mining sector is shifting to clean fuels, and plans are in place to plant one crore trees to enhance ecological balance and environmental sustainability. Complementing this growth is MAITRI — Maharashtra’s true single-window system that offers end-to-end, hassle-free integration for investors, ensuring ease of doing business in the truest sense. India today stands as the world’s next big growth story — and Maharashtra must be the first chapter of that story. The remarkable progress seen over the last 10 years has been made possible by the dynamic leadership, progressive policies, and unwavering support of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji. Maharashtra remains fully committed to contributing to his dream of a $5 trillion economy, a Viksit Bharat, and building a Viksit Maharashtra that leads from the front — in enterprise, innovation, and sustainable, inclusive growth. Hon Governor CP Radhakrishnan ji, DCM Eknath Shinde, Minister Uday Samant and Minister Jaykumar Rawal were present. A Historic Milestone for Maharashtra’s Growth: Inauguration of Navi Mumbai International Airport ✈️ A moment of immense pride for Maharashtra as the Navi Mumbai International Airport was inaugurated today at the hands of Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, the dream we envisioned a decade ago has now turned into reality. The airport stands as a symbol of Nava Bharat, of progress, resilience, and renewed ambition. Conceived in the 1990s, this project had remained stalled for years. Once PM Modi Ji’s government took office, it was fast-tracked under the PRAGATI portal, and in its very first meeting, all eight pending NOCs were approved, paving the way for this world-class engineering marvel capable of handling 9 crore passengers annually. This airport will play a pivotal role in Maharashtra’s and India’s growth, with the potential to boost the state’s GDP by 1%. Alongside, the inauguration of Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Phase 2B), from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, marks another proud achievement. Inaugurated the new administrative building of Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) at Aundh, Pune—based on eco-friendly (green building), Super E.C.B.C. and Net Zero concept. It reflects the commitment to clean energy and decarbonisation, meeting every green building benchmark. Congratulated the MEDA team for this exemplary achievement. Over the years, MEDA has shown outstanding performance in the renewable energy sector. Maharashtra now leads the country in solar energy generation, especially through distributed power models. Under the PM-KUSUM scheme, we have installed 5 lakh solar pumps—more than the combined 4 lakh installed in the rest of the country. Maharashtra have set an ambitious target: to meet 100% of agriculture power demand through solar energy by December 2026, bringing significant cost savings. Two core objectives guide our path forward: ✅ The first objective is to solarise all Government offices. In the 1st phase, consumers using up to 100 units of electricity will be brought to solar energy. ✅ The second objective is to prepare a separate scheme for the State similar to the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. In the 2nd phase, consumers using up to 300 units of electricity will be brought to solar energy. We’ve also signed an MoU with a Russian Government company for thorium-based power generation. It will be a game-changer for India and a boost to environmental protection. Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji has set a national goal of 50% electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Maharashtra will surely exceed this and achieve at least 52%. Deputy Chairman of Maharashtra Legislative Council Dr Neelamtai Gorhe, Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Anna Bansode, Minister Atul Save, MP Shrirang Appa Barne, MP Dr Medhatai Kulkarni, MLA Uma Khapre, MLA Bhimrao (Anna) Tapkir and other dignitaries were present.
