FORESHADOWING: In KOMO's "Seattle Is Dying" documentary released back in 2019, Katie Wilson with the Transit Riders Union was shown on a panel with clueless Seattle councilmembers and key players in the city's homeless industrial complex. They were pushing the ill-fated "head tax" that proposed taxing large businesses to raise millions of dollars for homelessness services and affordable housing. It became a city ordinance but was repealed less than a month later due to public backlash. It was an epic failure. Roughly six years later, Wilson is now running to become Seattle's next mayor. She's still in bed with the city's homeless industrial complex and could raise taxes to fund the same failed homelessness policies.
