Clawdbot creator, Peter Steinberger says Opus is the best model overall, but Codex is his go-to for coding. He trusts Codex to handle big codebases with almost no mistakes. It’s more reliable and needs less handholding, which makes him faster. Claude Code can work too, but it requires more effort and tricks. For serious tasks, Codex feels like a dependable coworker.

Got introduced to , an AI code assistant specialised for Unity by Julian Park and after dabbling with it for a day, I am really impressed with how good it is for vibe coding on the Unity Game Engine. Bezi early impressions: - Bezi works direcly on Unity with a Plugin, this means that I don't need a Unity MCP - Because Bezi is built for Unity, the success rate of feature implementations is visibly higher than general coding models - It was able to integrate Unity store assets like a Weather system to this game pretty seamlessly - I was able to add a fishing database, lighting and weather systems into this game fairly quickly I'm very impressed with the results with Bezi so far. I feel that vibe coding a full indie game on Unity and releasing it on Steam, Mobile and Web is within reach. This also validates one thing that I have been suspecting: A specialised model designed for a specific use case can perform better than a general model at the particular domain. Very exciting!

$I just compared Claude Code vs Codex vs Cursor CLI The task was to build a Next.js app with Tailwind 4 and shadcn components to collect customer feedback and showcase it with a widget. I gave all three the same prompt and let them go for 30 minutes to see what they came up with. Claude Code with Opus 4.1 Even though I told it to set up the app in the existing project folder, it tried to create a directory for it. After I interrupted and told it not to do that, it built a demo form and landing page with no errors. I had to ask it to make the demo interactive so users could submit a testimonial and preview it. The landing page looked like AI and was pretty basic, but it worked and it was done in a fraction of the time of the others. Total tokens used: 33k Codex with GPT-5 At the end of the 30 minutes I just could not get Codex to produce a working app. It got stuck in a loop of not being able to set up Tailwind 4 and despite many, MANY, attempts, I ended up with a "failed to compile" error. Total tokens used: 102k Cursor Agent with GPT-5 This was the slowest agent by far and a couple of times I actually thought it got stuck in a loop and was close to Ctrl+C'ing to cancel it. The TUI is really nice though, especially how it shows diffs and it did eventually build a working app (after one or two slight errors that needed fixing) The demo was interactive and it had a very minimal design that looked bare but also a lot less like an "AI generated" app than the Opus 4.1 design. It also wasn't too chatty and just did what it needed to do! Code quality was on a par with Opus 4.1, but it did use 5.5x as many tokens to get there. Still cheaper than Opus on a direct comparison but not when you factor in a Claude Code Max subscription. Total tokens: 188k I'll be able to do a proper comparison and record some videos when I'm back from holiday but for now, Opus is still the more capable model out of the box and Claude Code is the more complete CLI product. It will be interesting to see how Cursor evolve their CLI though with commands and subagents because I think with GPT-5 they have a real shot at providing competition for Claude Code if they can optimise output to get similar quality with less tokens. Missiles, boost zones, 3 AI opponents, 3 laps, a HUD with speed and health. Fable 5 read the image, traced the track geometry, and built the entire thing. One prompt. This is what Mythos-class models do to the build cycle.

My honest take on Kimi.ai K3 👀 As soon as I got access to Kimi, I put it through the exact same 3D football stadium challenge I had previously given Claude Fable 5. Fable 5 finished in under an hour. Kimi took almost 3 hours 🥵 At first, that was a very bad impression but i decided to see what's taking it this much of time. It was running E2E tests, validating desktop, tablet, and mobile, taking screenshots, finding failures, fixing them, even adapting for low end hardware and low FPS before moving on. All these that Fable 5 never did. None of it because it wasn't able to run this WebGL app on a headless browser. Kimi also shipped a clean React + Three.js codebase with proper components while Fable, as you might have checked codebase, generated one big HTML file with everything stuffed in. With all of this happening, it felt like I was doing more "Vibe Coding" with Fable 5 and more "Vibe Engineering" with Kimi K3. It feels like it's spending more time making sure the code actually works and easily scalable. Really impressed so far. More Kimi K3 experiments coming soon. With the right agent harness you actually can start to make some interesting things. Case in point: This was made with Opus 5 in a few hours. It had to create the models, textures, quests, map, enemies, enemy AI, etc. And it had to load the game, play it, take screenshots and iterate.

This is one of the wildest things I have built with AI so far 😱 Asked Claude Fable 5 to create a fully interactive 3D crime investigation board using Three.js and it did it in ONE Prompt. It took one more prompt to give it a polished UI inspired by a reference design that I created with GPT Image. What surprised me most was not how it looked. It was how it worked. Fable built a complete Verlet rope physics system with 46 particles in every thread. It handled gravity, damping, distance constraints and all other features of file upload, text and everything. The threads/ropes even lift naturally with pinned evidence instead of clipping through it. I never asked it to implement any of that. I only described the experience I wanted. Maybe that's how we should work with AI. Instead of writing long long specs, we should explain what we want as an experience and let AI do its thing. Anyway, every day Fable 5 raises the bar for what I think AI can build. More to this Live: Code:
