Fable 5.1 is an absolute beast for game dev. I took my Opus 5 space game and told Fable to "just make it look better". It overhauled everything with a TON of detail, AND made it 2x faster 🤯 Code: Demo: Every pixel you see is made by AI. Fable modeled everything in Blender, generated textures with code, and in a few cases ran image models via CLI. In mere months we'll be vibe-coding AAA graphics at this rate. Just insane. Of course, Fable recorded and edited this comparison video too (with a little help from Opus at the end, because of the Fable outage)

Clawdbot creator, Peter Steinberger says Opus is the best model overall, but Codex is his go-to for coding. He trusts Codex to handle big codebases with almost no mistakes. It’s more reliable and needs less handholding, which makes him faster. Claude Code can work too, but it requires more effort and tricks. For serious tasks, Codex feels like a dependable coworker.

Got introduced to , an AI code assistant specialised for Unity by Julian Park and after dabbling with it for a day, I am really impressed with how good it is for vibe coding on the Unity Game Engine. Bezi early impressions: - Bezi works direcly on Unity with a Plugin, this means that I don't need a Unity MCP - Because Bezi is built for Unity, the success rate of feature implementations is visibly higher than general coding models - It was able to integrate Unity store assets like a Weather system to this game pretty seamlessly - I was able to add a fishing database, lighting and weather systems into this game fairly quickly I'm very impressed with the results with Bezi so far. I feel that vibe coding a full indie game on Unity and releasing it on Steam, Mobile and Web is within reach. This also validates one thing that I have been suspecting: A specialised model designed for a specific use case can perform better than a general model at the particular domain. Very exciting!

opus 5 is getting routed to opus 5.2 tested opus 5 on xhigh with the same prompt in devin and claude code but results came out really different > claude code one is clean and more detailed > while devin one is almost there but not the same opus 5 in cc used to be lazy and hard to communicate with, but something changed in the last 2 days now it works for longer and is way easier to communicate with anthropic did same with fable release too where some users were being routed to fable 5.1 so it’s very likely opus 5 is getting routed to 5.2 in claude code can you guys tests and lemme know if it's getting routed for you or not?

I just compared Claude Code vs Codex vs Cursor CLI The task was to build a Next.js app with Tailwind 4 and shadcn components to collect customer feedback and showcase it with a widget. I gave all three the same prompt and let them go for 30 minutes to see what they came up with. Claude Code with Opus 4.1 Even though I told it to set up the app in the existing project folder, it tried to create a directory for it. After I interrupted and told it not to do that, it built a demo form and landing page with no errors. I had to ask it to make the demo interactive so users could submit a testimonial and preview it. The landing page looked like AI and was pretty basic, but it worked and it was done in a fraction of the time of the others. Total tokens used: 33k Codex with GPT-5 At the end of the 30 minutes I just could not get Codex to produce a working app. It got stuck in a loop of not being able to set up Tailwind 4 and despite many, MANY, attempts, I ended up with a "failed to compile" error. Total tokens used: 102k Cursor Agent with GPT-5 This was the slowest agent by far and a couple of times I actually thought it got stuck in a loop and was close to Ctrl+C'ing to cancel it. The TUI is really nice though, especially how it shows diffs and it did eventually build a working app (after one or two slight errors that needed fixing) The demo was interactive and it had a very minimal design that looked bare but also a lot less like an "AI generated" app than the Opus 4.1 design. It also wasn't too chatty and just did what it needed to do! Code quality was on a par with Opus 4.1, but it did use 5.5x as many tokens to get there. Still cheaper than Opus on a direct comparison but not when you factor in a Claude Code Max subscription. Total tokens: 188k I'll be able to do a proper comparison and record some videos when I'm back from holiday but for now, Opus is still the more capable model out of the box and Claude Code is the more complete CLI product. It will be interesting to see how Cursor evolve their CLI though with commands and subagents because I think with GPT-5 they have a real shot at providing competition for Claude Code if they can optimise output to get similar quality with less tokens. Our verdict: It's finally Fable for everyone. It’s the strongest coding model we’ve used, but now it's fast, token-efficient, and CRUCIALLY actually speaks like a normal person. Here’s our vibe check: - A monster at coding. Kieran Klaassen rebuilt a working version of Proof, our document editor, from one prompt. It added useful details he hadn’t requested, and it handles enormous coding jobs that run for days at a time. It built a computer use Mac app for me called Hands in one-shot that other models failed at. - A Claude our writers want to use again. It has clearer prose, fewer AI tells, and it takes an edit without arguing. It's a significant upgrade over Opus 5. And won Katie Parrott's heart back. - About half the tokens as Opus 5, and much faster. In our Slack-agent tests, it delivered comparable results to Opus 5 using about half as many tokens, in about 60% of the time. - Knowledge work you can delegate. It can produce great knowledge work—like slide decks—end to end without making slop. And flew threw hammer's tests with flying colors. - It now supports zero-data-retention agreements. Now businesses can actually use it! A big barrier to Fable adoption is gone. Net Result: It's obviously an Opus 5 killer. If that was your daily driver you should switch today. If you're using GPT-5.6 in ChatGPT for Work, it's spinning the wheels on for big delegated tasks. I still use ChatGPT for Work more day to day, but I use way more tokens in Fable 5.1. I send it off at the beginning of the day to do big programming projects, like end to end MVP builds, and check in every once in a while. State of Play: The big knock on Anthropic was they built a supergenius in a datacenter that was almost unusable. It was too slow, argued back, and talked in technical gibberish. They've managed to solve those problems and more with Fable 5.1!

Claude Fable 5 has been out for a day. I already one-shotted a voxel spaceship racer with it. I fed it a reference image of a track layout and told it to build a full game around that shape. Missiles, boost zones, 3 AI opponents, 3 laps, a HUD with speed and health. Fable 5 read the image, traced the track geometry, and built the entire thing. One prompt. This is what Mythos-class models do to the build cycle.
